    It's so interesting that every medication prescribed for sleeping problems is abused such as Zolpidem (Ambien) and all the Benzodiazepines especially Xanax but no one dares to abuse Seroquel for recreational purposes😂. I have insomnia and this medication is indeed effective as to put me to sleep.

      No, many people abuse this drug as well. Like, a lot of people. It’s popular due to how easily accessible it is. Z drugs and benzodiazepines are widely abused a lot more due to the fact that they’re addictive

      I abused this drug as a teenager. I remember using it trying to go to sleep after days-long methamphetamine benders.

    Warning:. 300 mg. of Seroquel should not be used as a standard dose for all schizophrenics. For example:. I was given this standard dose in the hospital and it caused me to become catatonic. And worse still the doctors wouldn't give me any Ativan, which has been shown to relieve symptoms of catatonia. Reason? A lot of psychiatrists believe there is a link between Ativan and symptoms of dementia. This has never been the case with me and I have been on the same very low dose of Ativan for almost 30 years. If you look for articles on this topic on your computer, you will find articles saying that they have found no link between Ativan and dementia symptoms. To not give this drug to patients because of some misguided beliefs would be doing a great disservice to patients.

    At first 25 miligrams was more than i needed. 50 would make me feel horrible. Over time, a low dose started to work for me. Years later and I can take much more and it helps me calm down and sleep. I take it with trazadone and melatonin. I had severe insomnia for 35 years and this combination of meds saved me.

      You should be. It's evil. It's like LSD alcohol and cannabis all mixed together. When I took it I genuinely feared for my life. I recommend staying as far away from it as possible. But you decide, it's your life and body.

    I will never use quetiapine again. The doctor gave me 25mg for sleep and it was terrible, I had nightmares, sedation, dizziness, a limp body, even an anxiety attack when I woke up, I couldn't get out of bed I was so lazy
    NOTE: I don't want to use it as a stabilizer, I started using lamotrigine, quetiapine would be just for sleep because I'm in hypomania, I'd rather not sleep until the consultation than take it again

      @@alexs.9912 I’ve also had a positive experience. everyone’s body reacts differently to medications so I suppose that can explain why some people respond well and some people respond poorly to it.

    I started lactating and lost my period and was incredibly itchy. It turned out that the tiny dose I took for sleep gave me a pituitary gland tumour that gave me menopause at 30, the endocrinologist said I had the hormones of an 80 year old. I had to take Dostinex to shrink the tumour and spent every weekend in bed throwing up from it. The first time I took seroquel I fainted in the shower, I was 22 and I phoned the doctor saying I don’t want to take this stuff. She told me I had to so I did what she said. She also put me on Effexor 150 and that eventually gave me seizures. Then Lexapro and that gave me seizures too.
    I now take a tiny dose of CBD and feel great and I sleep

    • @aronjohnson2553
      @aronjohnson2553 Před rokem +2

      @Zachary Winger it causes diabetes, high cholesterol and brain damage. It doesn't fix the issue you have, just masks it. And if you try to come off the drug, the withdrawals are worse than anything you can imagine. Doctors prescribe it for sleep which is what happened to me. No psych diagnosis, just insomnia. Now I'm struggling to recover 7 months later. Doctors don't say anything about the real side effects and how bad withdrawals are and I only took it for 10 months. I had no idea the kind of damage it could do.
