Ornstein describes the profile of the manager we are seeking. In reality he was describing Amorim! There is no denial of Liverpool speaking to Amorims management team. This is only my opinion but Amorim wants the LFC job and we are seeing a game playing out.

I watched the interview and just felt he was diverting attension away from Sporting, he reinterated that he did not think De Zerbi fit the bill but did not mention anyone else. Still think it is Amorim, I think LFC know and so does Amorim.
I think that there will be an Alonso U turn in the coming weeks.

Fabrizio Romano... MO SALAH. Hope you are doing well Dunc. I think Ant & Dec aka Edwards & Hughes are just keeping everything hush until the season finishes. He did like to announce deals immediately after. Think they got shafted by alonso and moved straight onto your man. Not going to lie when you mentioned him I don't think he was on any list.

To be fair amorim is the only option at the moment I'm not sure who else is out there, I have mentioned nagelsmann it seems that bayren are thinking of appointing him again, it'll be disappointing if amorim turns down the Liverpool job I don't know who else is a top candidate for the job but I suppose we have to wait and see

I thought Ornstein's comment about a manager who can keep players fit, was a bit odd. Was it a dig at Klopp or does Amorim who plays a similar style not have fitness issues with his players? 🤔
Could this be Pedro the Parrots way of contradicting a report that cam out on the 12h April attributed to Alan Brazil which said
"After talking about Amorim’s recent comments where he claimed that he hasn’t had any talks with Liverpool or any other club, Alan Brazil revealed that Pepijn Lijnders is the man who the players prefer.
“I’ll stick by Klopp’s understudy, Pep. That’s who I am told the players want,” Brazil claimed on the TalkSPORT Breakfast Show this morning."

Yep that's what I think - it is a game at the end of the day, and Pedro ( the parrot) feeding off crumbs from the British media crew to tell the Sporting hierarchy that LFC have other candidates- agree with you Dunk that nothing will be confirmed until the season is over .
