    I have some questions
    I'm new to this stuff and I wanted some textures and models but I have no skill to make them and I've always wanted to make a video game and hopefully if I think what I've created is good put it up on steam for a fair price
    I hear mention of a subscription thing or something
    With that could I use these textures in a game that I am making profit from?
    I mean of course with full permission but even with said permission would that be frowned upon as I'm not creating my own textures?
    If I have to learn and make them myself I will but as of right now I'm a one man team and so I'd have to learn everything from coding to models and textures to story and even art by myself

    • @Radial9Gaming
      @Radial9Gaming Před 7 lety +1

      Making your own textures is very difficulty and most of the time someone has done a better job. Big companies use already made textures as well. You are not supposed to do everything in a game by yourself, simply because it's way too much for one person to do.
      And yes, you can use these textures however you see fit. That's why you're paying for them.

    is this possible in video games?

    • @DorfDork
      @DorfDork Před 7 lety

      Yes but would not recommend. Video games tend to have a lot less polygons for maps and characters. Usually characters in next gen games are around 10,000 - 30,000 polygons. Maps which tend to have far less detail than characters on average are like that to save on loading times and taxing cpu/gpu performance. Running a map from this video onto a video game would most likely cause the game to not even load at all or cause extreme slowdown.
