- As E.T. raids the fridge, he starts to drink beer, kick back, and watch television. Meanwhile, Elliott (Henry Thomas) feels the drunken effects in class.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) SYNOPSIS: After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, the being is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott (Henry Thomas). Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister, Gertie (Drew Barrymore), and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien.

I agree, I had to purposely type in original version of ET getting drunk scene. Because when I first put it in, I didn't put "original scene" on it, and it showed the CGI "scene" with CGI around his eyes when he was watching TV and drinking beer by the fridge. It just made it look terrible, at least to me it did. Some movies, just leave it alone. We all know it's a costume and a robotic face at times, but it looks better without the CGI added to it.
@@mittlayton7187 I agree. As imperfect as it may look now compared to then, at least he was physically there. The CGI version just looks a bit uncanny at times

Anyone else notice that Elliot's pretty blonde classmate sitting behind and to the left of him is a young then unknown Erika Eleniak who went on to become widely known playing the lifeguard Shaun McClain in Baywatch (1989-1992) and she played a Playboy playmate in the 1992 Stephen Seagal movie "Under Siege".
Only thing I ever saw her in other than this movie was in The Beverly Hillbillies movie as Ellie May.
