- / grsmashyt Hey guys, sorry for the late upload, was making a different video this morning but it just didn't work, the way i decided to rate which would be top 10 i basically factored in hype, how good the other player was, how many stocks it was, and how good to combo was.

Good list, but I have to say I do not agree with Amsah being so low, he should have been first :P
3-3 in WF against EK who had been undefeated for a long time and no one had really been close to take a set from him in a long while.
History was made that day, Amsah remained the best player in Europe for almost 4 years after this set, and I believe he did not drop a single set until Zgetto did beat him in April 2009. On the other hand, EK never came back to the top again.
Many good comebacks, but I don't believe we will ever see a comeback that is better than Amsahs, it has everything!

About that cheap tactic.
In my opinion, in a competitive game where money is at stake, you gotta do anything in your power (as long as they're not against the rules) to win a game.
I do agree that, in casual games, it's fucking disgracious and not entretaining.
It would be nice if there was a rule against this tactic, but unfortunately it's too ambiguous. In some cases it's hard to tell if a guy is just running away to finish the timer or is just repositioning himself. Though, in this video, it's obvious he's just trying to finish the timer.

Here's the thing, Zero didn't respect ADHD here. Zero didn't get a big percent lead and he knew he could run out the timer with his better aerial mobility. So he tried. And thats is what's so great about this comeback, because Zero thought he had it in the bag and he let up at the last second because he thought ADHD had given up, ADHD fucking downsmashed him. A fucking meta-knight. With all that great aerial mobility. Loses it to a last second down smash because he let up at the last second when he thought he couldn't possibly get hit.
And to see Zero's fat fucking face in total dispair as ADHD calmly ravel's up his controller knowing he took back a cheap ass percent lead attempt from a meta-knight at the last second with a down-smash is fucking priceless.
It's a true testament to respecting your opponents. Zero got cocky during those last few seconds and it shows on his face when he loses at the last second. Respect your opponent's skill and don't let up till the announcer says "Game"
How many smashers get reverse 4 stocked and straight face shake their opponents hand. KDJ is the fucking man.

Everyone needs to stop hating on zero so much in these comments. Yes, he plays very defensively and uses frowned upon tactics, but that shouldn't make you hate him as a person.
I'm not going to pull the whole "he's using the optimal strategy" argument because I think that's generally a pretty stupid way of looking at things, but he is a really kind guy.
He is incredibly respectful to the opposing player regardless of a win or loss and I can say he's one of the few people that others should aspire to be in terms of sportsmanship.
So maybe instead of saying "wow zeros a pussy", say "zeros a cool guy, but he kinda plays like a pussy" and then we can all stop arguing

Peach and specially Mr. Game & Watch, 2 characters that can give you an unfair victory because of moves totally based on luck that can get really op, and yet people are fine with them and love them and think they are totally fair because they are Melee characters and Melee is the best, flawless competitive game eva, right, people?
Granted, Mr Game and Watch isn't regarded to be that great of a character in Melee, even with a 1/9 move that could result in defeat for the G&W player if it's any other number. Also, Peach's Chance of pulling out items or a Stitch are much rarer, with the result being hype than anything else. I don't understand how those two moves justify your backhanded criticism towards Melee, especially considering how those two moves are still in the other Smash games.

Like I wanted HungryBox to win as a Floridian to have Florida rep but what Zero did would've pissed me off anyways - playing as a fast, long-distance fighter with powerful hits against a somewhat slower fighter who's based on close-range combat and running away to get a sudden death you know you'll win is a fucking garbage "tactic," if it can even be called that.
Like, If I were in that situation, I would have just fought to the end. It's not like winning that invitational was going to give any one a good name. So regardless of win or loss, It would have been best to just please the crowd and fight to the last stock.

I love people defending zero acting like melee time outs are a regular. Saying that "trying to win" justifies when brawl players do this.
Face it, Melee players will deem it a cheap "tactic" and a joke. Where as brawl players see it as a norm or a fair way to win.
it's a dumb way to win. Both one stock and you have to find out who can run away farther instead of actually outplaying your opponent..... The way the game is meant to be played on a competitive level.

I don't know why people praise melee so much and bash other smash games like brawl. I personally find brawl better, but i'm not saying melee is a bad game unlike the melee fanboys in the comment section.

It's because the way you get good at fighting games, or commentating them, is by having constant human opponents to go against. This means going to a lot of tournaments, and to have a constant stream of tournaments you either need a very dedicated community or a highly populated area. Where are there a lot of people? The inner city. Who makes up the inner city? Well, people of all races and genders of course, but also there tend to be a high population of African Americans. Plus, as Tiki said, they tend to get more excited over things than people of other races. So yeah, they totally bring the hype.
