Lifesaver, I thought I was up the river after just buying this thing and come to find a puddle of gas under the carbs in my garage the next day. Thanks again!

Thanks a lot for making this video. I have (I think) successfully cleaned my carbs. Both my spark plugs are black (not oily) and I'm pretty sure the previous owner tinkered with the carb settings. I wish to set the A/F screw to the default setting, but I cannot seem to find it in my owner's manual. On the virago 535 I believe I had to turn the screws in until I felt resistance and then out approximately 1.5 to 2 turns. Is it the same on this carb? Afterwards I will be syncing the carbs. Fun project!

Where does the fuel enter the fuel pump from the petcock?

I’m wondering this as well. As where he shows that fuel line going mine isn’t set up that way at all.

Can anyone help me with where what lines connect to what on install of carb and where can I either get new fuel pump gaskets and rubber plugs or a new pump itself

How do you tune these carbs? The air and fuel screw location? Or are they differnt from car carbs? I may sound dumb but this is my first bike so I'm clueless 100 precent on bike stuff

Just watched the video. Very nice. I bought the same bike non running. Unfortunately for me, someone has been into the carbs many times. My shop manual gave me the main jet numbers and jet needle numbers but the number I'm looking for is for the jet under the diaphragm. Wonder if you have that info?

Great video! I am rebuilding the same carburetor my float needles are the same as yours (no wire clip at the bottom of the float needle). But all the rebuild kits have the wire on the end of the float needle and the female part is also different even at your link for a rebuild kit?

My guess is that you have a broken idler gear. Let me know what you find. If you need more helpful tips, check out: czcams.com/video/X0AdFxkJiOg/video.html and if you need parts: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports. thanks for watching and the comment.

I have the 95 Yamaha Virago SG. Why would my pilot screws have to be a 1/2-1 turns out? Both are the same and it just revs higher as I turn screw in, it doesn't bog down till I turn it out around 1/2-2+ could the choke not be aligned properly idk please help me when you can. Thanks!

At the start of your video I think the second part is different than what I have on fuel lines .The part where hoses go to two carbs and to bottom part of fuel pump, instead the bottom part of hose goes to fuel tank and also the bottom part of fuel pump connects to hose on fuel tank. Please tell me if im wrong .Thanks

Hey I just noticed that comment on a second watch, Ive just hooked my carbs back up and they're high idle/awaiting sync. So the bike runs. But yeah my fuel lines differ from the video and run, petcock straight across to the pump, which connects to the carb with the solid T piece like the video. Then the T piece with clamps connects back to the petcock, though oddly with a long clear hose wrapped around the fuel pump to avoid kinks. Ive ran it 6k like that
