    Very interesting. Thanks for the video. I'll check your channel to get into about the XV upgrades. I'm trying to bring back to life a 1990's Virago. Keep in touch.

    You should try a two in one exhaust, they make like a push and pull effect between the cylinders

    • @JadusMotorcycleParts
      @JadusMotorcycleParts  Před 3 lety

      Yeah man, we are already planning something like that! The scavenging effect is really beneficial. The only downside is that the sound is not as good (although this is subjective) ;)

      @@JadusMotorcycleParts Sweet 👌 Expensive but, a cv carb delete would help the throttle response alot, I tried both of these mods on a harley xlh 1100 😝 keihin fcr pumper carb and a home welded 2-1 exhaust 😝 But yeah the twin cv carb on the 535 is sort of the "thing" of these engines, but it would still be interesting to see how it would handle a 2-1 intake and single carb

      @@gnagsaar_ Single carb conversion kits are available and they seem to work well. However, there is no evidence they increase power or torque. I would predict the contrary. Why do all performance engines have one carb (or at least one throttle body) per cylinder? Even the high performing Harleys had two carbs (XV750 for example). But yeah, 2-1 exhaust can be a good thing for sure.

    Hello, quick question about the 535, wondering why it’s not putting out a lot more power. My bike runs and everything but when you’re on it and riding around it feels like it’s not giving the power I know it can put out or seen from other 535 videos of people riding.. I hope I explained it well, hoping to get more feed back on this for a better understanding

    • @JadusMotorcycleParts
      @JadusMotorcycleParts  Před rokem

      You could have any number of problems man. Could be the carbs, poor valve adjustment, worn valves, worn rings etc etc. Your best bet would be to make sure everything is in spec and go through the carbs meticulously. You may also have an intake or exhaust leak which could cause poor running.

    • @JadusMotorcycleParts
      @JadusMotorcycleParts  Před 4 lety +2

      Parkourpappa we have added a kickstarter to our 100mph SR. But it is near impossible to do a kit for it so that is not likely sadly :( There are already many very good videos on youtube installing a kickstarter in the SR though :)

    Hey man, great video! Do you think a single carburetor with a properly jet, will run better? I have a xv535 and I know a lot of people that use singlecarb, they say runs better, but never put to a test on the dynamometer.

    • @JadusMotorcycleParts
      @JadusMotorcycleParts  Před 4 lety +6

      I think a single carb probably works well and is easy to work on - all early Harley’s have that. HOWEVER, performance/racing Harley’s (think XR750) all have dual carbs. Two carbs will always flow better than one and will therefore perform better. Isn’t it interesting that there are never any before and after dyno tests with a single carb conversion?

      @JadusMotorcycleParts  Před 3 lety +2

      Depends, it cruises at 100-120kph very easily with this kit on and can max out at 160kph on the highway.
