Time just repeating itself. Songs were very short in the 60s like now. A hook and one or two verses. Songs got longer when the party atmosphere got bigger in the 70s. These posse cuts started coming around with the establishment of crews.

Also an additionally 😅 I don't call the original version of a song The "dirty version". I call it the correct version. Music is art and the original version of a song is the artist's realized vision for the song

No disrespect but your knowledge of Hip-hop is very limited.
Some 12" versions of songs could be 15 minutes or longer!
Great order to rank them! You got to remember though that LL went back to change his verse to answer Cannabis's and even then you could argue that Cannabis's was at least as good as LL's

The average song back then was 3 to 4 minutes anyway so a 5-minute song was not extraordinary
