Hi Icarus, Dino Crisis 2 weapons mod and Carnivore Disaster dev here.
I haven't even finished the video yet, but i really want to thank you for shining some light on it and presenting it to Dino Crisis fans around.

Love Dino Crisis. Ashame fallout 4 has no Dino mods because it would really suit it

There's some things I think needs to be done:
• Make Shop Menu navigation use Fire to Confirm/Buy. Additionally, make sure it doesn't "double tap" when you hold Fire or AltFire in the menu.
• Make sure the view is locked while in the Shop Menu.
• I think perhaps the background of the shop could be 80% opaque, so we can have a brief moment to assess our situation while shopping.
• Add an "Inventory Check" button to show all currently available weapons, upgrades unlocked, tools, etc.
• Add a Firewall, Chainmine, etc. counter to the UI.
• Add an indicator to show that you can draw out the Stun Blade or Machete with whatever weapon you are holding.
• Maybe darken upgrades that can't be bought again...?
• Maybe change the AI so they calmly roam while having not sighted/heard the player?
That said, I'm extremely GLAD you made this, you have NO IDEA how long I waited for this to be made.

I love DOOM mods. Nothing like playing as Kyle Katarn to mow down rampant robots, demons, angels, scum and villainy from his home galaxy, and now dinosaurs.

Ah, Dino Crisis. Pretty sure the first game was my first exposure to survival horror when I was a tiny child and seeing it only briefly was enough to scare me. Good times. Good game.
Dr. Cosmobyte and the Kinsie are the most underrated Doom modders tbh
Joblez and Loss for Words are great too.
Joblez has such an authoral (does this word exist in english?) feel to everything he does, even the most generic of his stuff like Simple Weapons have a distinct and unique "Joblez-vibe".
Meanwhile Loss for Words probably felt tired of playing with Doomguy and decided to make every one of his mods a unique theme that no one has done before most of the time, serious look for Disaster Jester, Omerta, Outback Anarchy and others from him.
Have you tried "Day of the toys" ? It will not dissapoint.

Wish more people were as based as him though, seems like a cool dude.
@@panthekirb7561 Impie! Nice ,wasn't sure what the author usually went by. DOTT was the first mod of his I tried, I was very pleased to find out Impie had been prolific before that also. I can see why his work might not be everyone's cup of tea tho. His Robocop Mod might be his most accessible work imo.
@@sunkanswer8221 To be honest the only TC from him that I've played was Splatterhouse 3D back in 2020 or so and the quality really varied from level to level. It was alright, had some good maps.

I usually play Dino Rampage with the Postal Running-With-Chainsaws, since Postal Dude actually fought a raptor at one point.

I am big fan of Dino Crisis as it was my first game of Capcom I ever touched in my lifetime & loved the video Icarus hope there will be more Mod Madness in the future.

I love how the Dino sprites are ripped right from SNES Jurassic Park.
That Game was awesome. Loved the First Person Sequences and the Atmosphere it creates throughout its campaign.
Never got far in it, because i was too young but what i remember it was scary stuff.

One of the mods you featured here, "Dino Rampage", contains sprites and enemies that were stolen from my mod.
As a long time subscriber of yours, I am disappointed that you would endorse stolen content without doing your due diligence.

I didn't have any clue there was anything wrong with Dino Rampage. I'm confused how I was expected to know about this faux pas when you are in fact credited on the zdoom post for the mod in question.
Maybe you should talk to the author of Dino Rampage.
Never played the actual games but they could definitely use the remake treatment that Resident Evil has been getting.
Loved both games back in the day. Other than that my favorite Dino Crisis is either Conan the Destroyer or Lynch’s Dune.

capcom has a lot of dormant ip's. outside of a alt costume in street fighter we will never see them again. dino crisis, power stone, darkstalkers, lost planet, etc, etc, etc.

Dino crisis 1 and 2 are at the top of my list of games i want remade. Loved those games, getting all characters for the Dino Colosseum was fun. I dare say Dino crisis 3 was an even bigger disappointment than Duke nukem forever. At least dnf was in development for so long that some of us expected to be underwhelmed at release. Dino crisis 3 on the other hand was like expecting your pizza order at the door , you open the door and get hit by a flamethrower. That's how bad it was in my opinion.

Check out the TurokDoom: Legacy of the Fireseeds mod, which has 3D dinos, among other things

I feel for you Dino Crisis fans. I used to be a huge fan of Dino Crisis, but I only played the first one on PS1 way back in the day. I tried to play it on emulator, but it was terrible. Didn't age all that well honestly. I'd love a remake, but I have grave concerns with Capcom's ability to do Dino Crisis any justice.
