    @Scott Hardesty Loving the videos Scott, keep em coming! I appreciate the real world distance tests. Sounds like this Pace and your A2 have a very similar range, how would you compare the ride quality between the 2? Looks like you rode them both on very similar routs, witch did you feel the least fatigued by the end of the trip? By the way I love Chicago such a great biking city, can't wait to get back there soon!

      The A2 is a very, very big bike. It is very wide. If transport is common on a rack, I may lean toward a pace. I just spent $200 this week to get a ramp for my 1UP rack since lifting the A2 is ok before the ride, tough after the ride. I love my A2, wish it could shed pounds (and oh, this is with the battery out BTW).

    Your video inspired me to test the farthest I could go on a full battery charge while feathering the assistant on and off depending on the conditions I was on at the time. I was able to complete am 87 mile ride on my very first ride and still showed 8% of the battery remaining. I continued to test this on every long ride over the last 3 months of good riding weather here in Ohio on the great bike paths that interconnect throughout the state. I actually completed a 104.5 mile ride from Cincinnati to Xenia, OH then Dayton and finishing up in Monroe, OH. I still had 32% of the battery remaining when I stopped. Now, I obviously ride a decent amount without the pedal assist, but it just shows you what you can accomplish on this bike. When I rode the 60 mi. Grand Fodo ride sponsored by the Cincinnati Cycling Club out in Brookville, In on what turned out to be a pretty hilly route, I still made it 59.5 mi. before the battery died on the final 1/4 mile of the ride. I'm hoping to attempt the 326 mi. Ohio-To-Erie ride in the summer of 2024. Although, I may invest in a 2nd battery just to be safe. Great videos Scott.

    • @michaelhagedorn2088
      @michaelhagedorn2088 Před 6 měsíci

      I've averaged 16.08 mph over 15 separate rides. I thought I wouldn't really get a workout from an ebike, but some of my rides have lasted just over 6 hours. I love my Aventon Pace 500.3. I was struggling to do even a 30-mile ride before. Now I know I have the ability to tackle some of the longer rides that I've always wanted to try. I have battery anxiety on some of those long rides, but that just forces me to peddle on my own when it's a flat to declining surface. @@scotthardesty

I would also like your insight, I assumed the 750W motor on the A2 would be a marked difference from the Pace, but in the first 20 miles it seems like the additional 25lbs/fat tires of the A2 negates the increase in motor size. Scott, since the Pace 500.3 has a 500 W motor how does this compare with your Aventure 2 and it’s 750 W motor as far as torque speed etc. I know the fat tires will make a difference thus taking power away from the Aventure2 , but does the Pace seem to be as powerful as the Aventure?

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  Před rokem +1

      Because of the smaller tires and lighter weight of the bike overall, I didn't feel like I was sacrificing any power when comparing the two. I think it's more of "preference" on which bike you like better. The advantages of the A2 over this Pace is that the A2 comes with the fenders and rack included, and the suspension front fork. My A2 is still my overall favorite because I feel I can take it anywhere.

    Dude! To a local, you did the 606, across the whole loop , through Millennium Park, and south of McCormick Place!!!!!! and have 75% left? That alone says for the price, is a deal.
