    @ Dele Adeyanju, this is singularly your best interview yet, bar none. Wow! wow!! Wow!!! I say. This guest of yours connected so many historical political dots beyond words that our people can learn from. Bless you for this. Surprisingly, I've never heard of him despite my advanced years and my pro Yoruba and NGR political prowess. It is well. It is of no surprise that us who knew and still knows OBJ closely aren't surprised at MKO's trust of EVIL, not "Baba" OBJ andEVIL, self-serving OBJ's calculated and opportunistic betrayal of him in 1993. The crux of the matter was that, MKO desperately did his best to manipulate any and every one whom he thought would have stood in his way to the 1993 presidency. Whilst Igbo man EVIL, Narcistic OBJ who disguised himself as a Yoruba man and still doing so was always his nemesis from Abeokuta Boys High School where they both went. The bit that is hard to swallow for us all was that MKO himself deserved what he got for using IBB and other military officers and Shagari to scuttle Late Baba Awolowo's aspiration for presidency in 1979 and in 1983. Ironic that MKO eventually made the same strategic political mistakes that Pa Awo made by saying too much. Something that PBAT thankfully learned from and heed our warnings not to make the same mistakes in the lead up to the 2023 presidential elections. Hallelujah!

    • @babasolaokikiola5221
      @babasolaokikiola5221 Před 6 měsíci +3

      Why do you guys love saying what y'all don't know... ??? MKO never did such to Baba Awolowo, Let me just summarize it... He only borrowed a top dignitary among the NPN money for campaign as a friend... & this never came to limelight until when MKO was scrambling for a contract in UK & he was given a condition that before they can approve it , he needs to get d documents appended by one of Nigerian Nationalists.... The recognized Nationalists of Nigeria by then was Chief H.O. Davies, Azikiwe & Awolowo...
      So MKO went straight to Baba for his signature, that's when Baba told him about what he heard about the financial support he gave to his opponents... Then he told Baba that at least Baba knows very well that he's not a politician, but he just borrowed a friend money to execute a business.... he begged Baba, & he forgave him, later the contract was given to MKO, to compensate Chief Awolowo, MKO bought 17 Volkswagen Beetle and gave it to UPN... For Campaign, But according to what I heard by then Baba refused to collect those vehicles & told MKO that he should not worry, that if he collects those vehicles it will sound as if he's collecting Bribe on what he did to him....
      MKO has never dabbled into politics Until when IBB called him to come and take the mantle of leadership of Nigeria....

    MKO Abiola has taken away the Economy power of AFRICA.

      Obasanjo knows more about Nigeria and his elite than anybody, even babangida that refuse to allow Abiola to rule despite being friends will tell u about d other side of MkO that many of us don't know than been a philanthropist.
      If u blame Obasanjo for not handing power to Awolowo, do u want to blame him for babangida not handing over to MkO even when he is not in power?
      When Obasanjo stood against Abacha and that led him to jail, do u want to blame him if he stand against anyone from his side?
      One reason we have presidency been rotated btw North and south today is because Obasanjo did not hand over power to Awolowo that is his brother to maintain d unity in Nigeria, otherwise North would have been handling power to their own sighting OBJ case and will be telling us they have more votes than south. Don't forget they have born to rule mentality.

      Is Ibadan not the capital of the 33 local government in Oyo State? You were not getting the intellectual behind the Baba's statement. Have you ever considered the sizes of local government in Oyo State? Ibadan being the biggest in the West Africa, is Ibadan not entitled to 44 local government, if not more? ÒkèÒgùn cities and towns needed at least four local governments each. Oyo state should be divided into ten states, below are the cities/towns that have the state capital status in Oyo State i.e Ṣhakí, Ogbomoso, Oyo, Iseyin, Igboho, Kishi, Igbeti, Okeho, Tede, Igboora, Agoare etc, you will bear me the truth if you compare these cities and towns in Oyo State with some existing state capital in Nigeria🇳🇬.
