Thank you for bringing this man to your program. Chief Lekan Alabi is an embodiment of Nigerian political and cultural history. His mastery of indigenous language and music is also mind-blowing. A broadcastor- turned- administrator, Chief Lekan Balogun's captivating retentive memory for national events and history can be likened to that of Dr Omololu Olunloyo. Welldone👍

Thanks Agbaletu. Please, can you help tell baba Oloye Lekan Alabi to write a book or may be do a video on how Nigeria independence was achieved? Right from 1914 when Nigeria was named to 1960 when the independence was achieved. Who were the main actors from each region? What roles did each play?
Of course, there are many stories outside there. However, baba wa Oloye Alabi has demonstrated that he has first-hand information with accurate dates and certain facts that we can't even get online. For instance, I never knew that Mr Awolowo suggested that a clause should be included in the Nigerian constitution during its draft that if, subsequent to the independence, any region feels dissatisfied, the region should be allowed to quit Nigeria but that Azikwe rejected the idea although Ahmadu Bello supported it. I didn't read it online before until baba oloye Alabi shed light on that.
I believe there are many facts yet untold.
Please help us get more stories like thst from baba. May he live long in sound health .

This is a very incisive and elucidating interview. Chief Lekan Alabi is an encyclopedia of knowledge. I really appreciate you as I enjoyed this interview inmensely. The only thing I would love to hear if there is a next one is his first day at work as the Press Secretary to Lt Col Oladayo Popoola (as he then was). He was trying to explain this before he was immersed in his encounter and friendship with Chief M. K. O. Abiola. Thank you, Agbaman for another classic. God bless you richly as you are enriching our repertoire of knowledge.

Adeyanju, please ask for where about of Felix Ajibade fraudulent Electoral returning officer then during Bola Ige and Olunloyo. That election was rigged. Ibadan people changed the slogan ( Omo wa ni E je o se). He was saying truth, but Popoola retired as Brigadier General.
