- Professor Abass Aderemi Adedibu spoke about his father, the strongman of Ibadan, Late Alhaji Lamidi Ariyibi Adedibu. He makes attempts to defend his father's thuggery and radicalism.
I like the Prof. He did justice to all the questions without bias. Thank you Prof. Dele must have detests Baba's actions.
Look at a great scholar who never lost the values of his culture and language.
I gained so many lessons from this interview
Very interesting and simple Prof.
Thank you Dele for raising issue of this mushroom universities establishing all over the place like creche.Am convinced you must have heard about 47 Universities proposing to be established by the Senate when the already established ones are grasping for survival. This is serious.I can't comprehend the thinking faculty of our senators and members of house of Repsentatives.
Omo ologo, lo ni ogun laye re. Lara ogun ti Professor has to go through. You really try Baba, l credit you and appreciate you sir.
My uncle is different entirely from his fada. He refuse to use his fada money to study in abroad and take scholarship baba was very annoyed then. The two elder sister aunty Adijat and Aunty Morili use baba money to study Abroad
This is the beginning of misunderstanding with baba and my uncle professor Adedibu adekunle Abass
I am a keen follower of your channel. I practically voraciously consume every content you've put up here and get thoroughly educated.
This particular content is important for me. My late father taught at Children House School in the 60s and he always mentioned having an Adedibu son in the school.
Am impressed with the academic excellence of the man. Quite different from his father.
Omg! Ọmọde o ba itan, o ba aroba... I love this.
I love this interview. i was privileged to meet Baba Adedibu when he was alive he was accommodating and very very charitable .
i think Mr Dele would have been more professional by not Using a words THUG if possible to edit that side some boys are still commited 100% to Baba .
You're correct about that but I believed that, the people he interviewed before coming to see Professor used the word THUG. It was already in his brain and I believe that when he goes through all the reviews, he will get it and try correcting himself, which I knew he normally reads reviews.
Am not a fan but ilove this professor
Yes. My uncle retired as Director from fed ministry of education fct Abuja
My Ibadan people can be naturally funny in an effortless manner, how on earth did peculiar mess turned Penkele mess nitori Olorun 🙆😝
I think you hammering on thug deprived you of more in-depth stories. I believe the Prof. would have said more but "thug" is too repulsive. You could have softened it with "boys" and everyone would still get the message.
Great content, all-round anyways.
Well done!
First thing I noticed too. Kinda derogatory.
I don't think the professor was bothered, though.
Some people are using baba Adedibu name to commit a lot atrocities on land issues when he was alive ,Baba might not be a saint but he was far better than those politicians that are disparaging him .
He’s not far better than any politician, they are all the same, I do visit Ibadan regularly during his time when they purportedly impeached Ladoja, people that lost their love ones will understand that he’s as bad as other politicians. He was caught on tape saying that he’s entitled to 30% of the state security votes( on what ground) ? Even if you help Ladoja to become governor, you cannot make such request in public.
I bow sir, u are too much, weldone sir
Children House School, ibara, Abeokuta was my alma mater good to know you pass thorough the school.
Different dimension❤
Baba Adedibu supplied all cements for the construction of liberty Stadium Now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan
He resemble his father up to the voice
Very interesting inter
May the soul of Baba rest in peace lge adubi alafin Molete.
He is the 3rd child and first son of late Adedibu ariyibi lamidi
Busari Adelakun
Nice to know
Lekan Salami is working for Akintola, while Adedibu is working Awolowo, Adelakun Adedibu, and oladoja. senior are both friends .but oladoja senior died early.
His smile 😊
Senator kamoru and brother Akeem is closer to baba than professor Adedibu adekunle Abass
Adelabu was not a lawyer he went to yaba tech but did not complete his studies there before he joined UAC
My bros
I wonder how come I didnt know him as adedibu´s son. I read newspapers from seventies.
Maybe adedibu hid him to protect him or something.
Omo oke Ibadan Omo olatutu nbadan
GREAT TOPIC
Certain aspects of this interview are quite disturbing. There were questions that lacked clarity and seemed to have an accusatory tone. It appears that the interviewer was selective in what they wanted to hear and did not consider the explanations provided. It is highly inappropriate and disrespectful to throw one's own father under the bus, unless one is acting in a despicable manner.
Adelakun was a great political turg,in his time no body like him
It is only Bola Ige sacking Busari Adelakun from his cabine as Comm. For Local Gov. Affairs.that made him popular because I'd his vow that ASO TI IPIN BAA BO LE O KUBL BABA OMO TIO GBE WO and when another Ibadan indegine (Alhaji Lawal Omothosho) was appointed to replace him he Omothoso died ( I think inside his office) 7days after he assumed office without being sick .
Investigative journalism.... Dele "Agbaletu" Adeyanju... The Dean....
There is blood defence in the interview. Dele is playing the yoruba boy game to extract from the prof.
Baba was wrong on the origin of “Peculiar Mess” as the late Adelabu was never a lawyer. He was a parliamentarian who never read past secondary school level, but a very brilliant soul.
The origin of the name was when he said something on the protracted crisis in the parliament prior to independence.
Olalekan lawyer a be le oya tell us the story and stop using “he said something” what was the something?
Did anyone hear the man say he and Tinubu attended a federal government interview?
ADIDEBU WITH AMALA POLITICS
Adelakun was the original thug for Awolowo and then Bola Ige, Adedibu became famous after Adelakun died...
That's not true. You don't understand the chronology! Compare AG to UPN!
@@wasbel1 I don't need to understand something that I witnessed, unlike you that heard stories.. Did you ever meet Adelakun? I'm not talking of the day's of action group, I'm directing you to the early days of UPN in late '78....
Pls agbaletu, can l get prof number?
This is Mr Dele’s worst interview. Not because of the interviewed, but the interviewer. The theme of your questions was too centered on ‘the enigma of Chief Adedibu, the Ibadan political godfather who became rich through political thuggery”. I would say the carefree nature of the Prof is what encouraged these lines of questioning.
Dele
Adelabu wasn't a lawyer.
Ha Ha Ha,Would Molete people and Nigerian Politics forget Baba Adedibu in a hurry😢God is immutable😊
I am so disappointed that Prof. could descend low to entertain this thing that has no respect for the dead. His line of questioning is so demeaning and shows that he lacks the capacity for objective interview. Thumb down for this interviewer. Who is a thug ? Arant nonsense..... can you address your father like that?
This is you ranting. Adedibu himself never denied his thugery. We have not forgotten what he did to Oyo State politics where he held the state governor to ransome. If you do not want anyone to speak ill of you tomorrow, live your today well.
As e dey hot
Adedibu along with Arisekola stole land from my father!!!
Who is your father? Let’s see if it rings bell…. Arisekola you say?
E ku Eto egbon mi
Aderupoko or Papalolo voices?
The guest may have 4 post graduate degrees, but he is not “deep”. However he appears as a pleasant personality.
@bryallen6072 , I agree with you! More so that most of these qualifications were earned in the States.
Who born this nonentity presenter? Ode omo, is this how to talk about an elderly person in Yoruba land. Baba yin, Baba yin?
You don't need to insult the presenter. You are free to air your views. Does he look like a nonentity to you?
Adelabu penkelemes
Pemkele was Adelabu, not Adedibu.
