Dang man,the jbl flip 6 is DESTROYING the sony speaker
In my opinion Sony 10 mins gives u a hour of play time it has 16 h and stamina mode sacrifice little audio each speaker caters to a different audience
(I listened to this comparison with a calibrated system with a subwoofer) There are two extremes on display here. The JBL is crissssssssssssssssssssspy. You know percussion is not meant to be that sharp, it's way too "detailed". But the Sony on the flip side is like elevator music tuning - laid back and wallpaper. Somewhere in the middle is correct, so good thing you can EQ them. It also helps for you (the viewer) to play this songs back yourself for reference and not just take this comparison as your only exposure. Go play the Havana song for yourself, it's not that bright.
Your right havana song is an awfull quality. No mids and subbass, my room is shaking. It will always sound bad on mini stereo. I often noticed that the testers have extreme bad music taste. The just just take a song like sting or something. Electronic Sounds all sound good, just get the cheap one.
I played the Havana on my XB100, it sounded sooooo good 😅😊

You have to purchase the Flip 6 in person to be sure of it either being the GG or TL model so I said forget that and ordered a Charge 5 from Amazon while they are on sale. I have the Flip 5 which is the GG model but it still rocks to no end.
No average consumer is going to know the difference between these. Not even JBL will disclose the fact that they’re actually different, but there are indeed, as you say, different versions of the JBL speakers that are most likely made in different factories. It’s not just TL and GG either. Some models also have NT, ND, PL, TT, and even a few others. Some are made in China, others in Vietnam.
Personally, I own a TL and a TT charge 4. The main case and the assembly process of the two is the same in this case, but TL is made in China, TT in Vietnam. The driver is the same in both, at least in terms of the cone and basket (frame) though the magnet is a slightly different shape. The passive radiators on the TT feel more well-built and stiffer, but that also means they’re tuned slightly higher.
I don’t know if I got lucky, but the TL and TT do sound pretty much identical to my ears.

I just got a JBL Charge 5. But I got it AFTER trying (and returning) the Sony XE300. I had 2 big issues with the Sony XE300. First, there's bass, but it isn't much and it's not very pronounced, just way too meh. Second, no real defined spot to sit it on, it feels like whatever side you do rest it on, if you ever do so outdoors that side will soon get notably scuffed up. Comparably the JBL Charge 5 has decent bass that you can feel, thank-you. Also, it has several little rubber lines on the bottom that form a surprisingly durable base. Again, thank-you. Also, the JBL Charge 5 just comes out more portable, whether you get the XE300 or the XE200.
There's a couple of reviews I follow here on CZcams. I bought the Sony XE200 and yes the speaker new but nothing really makes it stand out from the rest of the pack. Even the design seem rushed. I bought the last generation XB23 and the material felt cheap. I used Party Connect and it is still not seamless. I am deep in the Sony ecosystem and have the gadgets to show for it but truly fell Sony is pulling a Nintendo. Selling people the same thing over and over with minor to no improvements. The app needs Playstation like upgrades.
Hi Antwan, new subscriber here from Australia. The music is fine on the Sony, but when you BT radio, it sounds really muddy. Why, I don't know? I listen to radio a lot through my speakers and the JBL Flip 6 is MUCH clearer than the Sony. Love your content & keep up the great work. Cheers!
Hi there! Quick thought. How about testing EQ section just to see if it’s possible to get closer to jbl sound? It’s one of the features after all so I guess it matters. Big ups!
Both Sony and JBL only have 3-band EQ. I've tried on all of the new Sony speakers to clean up and brighten the sound, but it just isn't there. JBL just dominates this segment of speakers. Soundcore is a close 2nd place, but thier build quality doesn’t compare to JBL.

@@SoNiC1693 Charge 5 is literally my favorite speaker of their line-up. It's super versatile in size and sound.
I'm good with my soundcore boom, Soundcore 1 (OG) & Soundcore mini, soundcore 3 including my soundcore P2, soundcore Q20 plus, Soundcore Q35 as well. I know that's a lot of soundcore products. It just means I love Anker audio products.
They definitely make good sounding stuff at an amazing price. I was just discussing with @DLXWillington how I would love to improve the build quality of thier stuff even if they charged more for it.

Just had the chance to test Charge 5 vs the Sony, man, there's just no contest. The 5 is just way way boomier and clearer, while the Sony is all mushy and muddy---totally unlike their XM lineup.
Great video. It honestly sounds like the Sony sounds better at high volumes because the bass keeps up the volume spike and the highs get boosted the jbl sounded great at 50%
But at 80% the bass didn’t get that boost to keep up with the highs and mids so pick your poison. Btw man keep up with the hard work I can see the a change in your physic good job and we’ll see ya at the next one..chao
Nope. Sony XE200 is honestly the worst speaker you can but at this price point. Even a cheap ahh speaker under 30 dollars can beat its sound quality. First, the bass is really lacking on the XE200. That’s the weakest bass I’ve ever heard on a speaker this size. Most of the speakers this size can go down to at least 75Hz, while the XE200 can only go down to about 160Hz. That’s the frequency response of a JBL GO3! Secondly, the mids are really muddy. Because of the weak bass that cuts off at 160Hz, it’s all crumpled up with the mids. It also made the vocal separation terrible. Thirdly, the highs got all distorted because of the design of sinking the drivers under the cover by over an inch. I don’t know who engineered this stuff, but they should have at least EQ it a bit better. The highs are terrible, lacking 5KHz frequency, making the soundstage and instrument separation terrible. Overall, the XE200 has got no lights, has got no aux in, no bass, and tiny battery life, it only has weak bad mids and bad highs. I’m really disappointed by SONY on this, I have a XB32 and I bright it to the mall to have a direct comparison with the XE200, and it just crushed it straight away. XB32 got deep bass that goes down to 50Hz, got a really wide soundstage because of the bright mids and crispy highs, got Live mode that make the soundstage insanely wider at the size, and it even got RGB lights that syncs with the music. It’s even cheaper than the XE200 at launch.
@@kangoon4434 hey man I was just going by what I was hearing I went for the xg300 instead is not perfect and overpriced I got for 300cad on sale I’m happy with it for indoor use for that price it should be louder and have more bass but with the eq option I made it sound good to my liking. I have the monster adventurer max and honestly that thing bangs at full volume I use it at a loud factory nice deep bass and loud. Can’t beat that speaker at that price I paid 160 cad for that one and so worth it. Downside is that it only last about 4 hours basting it and takes a bit to charge. Thanks for the reply I can indeed your frustration with over priced “top of the line “ products. Anyways man have a good one ☝️ !!!

Xb13 will be the last to get the upgrade as always and i have a feeling its neither going to be like xb13 or xe200 . Expect something different

Flip 6 is pocket size. So...you can have it always with you. Tgat is pyre win guys. Ather think us amazing sound for that small think. Battery depends on sound volume & sound quality. When you boost bass on max with JBL app & play The Game This is How We Do with amazing bass you will be blown away, but Battery 2ill be out after 3-4 hours. But you can plwy it and charge same time, then you boost it time to 6 hours? But it's quality of disco sound or concrete sound quality. It's awesome! :)

XE200 sounds exactly like a 20+ years old A4Tech PC speakers... Very hollow, no bass, no highs, just some muffled mids. =))

Sounds really bad for a new speaker and it is huge compared to flip 6…. A shame
The flip 6 actually has a way longer battery life because the xe200 is so quiet that u need to use higher volumes the flip at 80 % is already louder then the xe200 at max and at that volume the flip lasts way longer and even at like 50% the flip lasts longer because the 16h battery life on the sony is with it at stamina mode which is basically not worth using
I tested it and it only havve battery life if 7hour at 50% volume

There is too much sibilance for the JBL. It seems artificially boosted to give an impression on crispness, but it is not natural and fatiguing to listen for long. Sony is too veiled and lacks punch, compared to their previous generation. Not good offerings for this generation.
