    I recently purchased the Heresy IV and I'm in love. Paired with a MA5100, I wish I had the funds for the Cornwall's at the time. But hopefully one day. Great video as always, and the setup looks so dialed! Congrats on the find!

    Wow! Reminds me of my system from 1977 until 1984-McIntosh MA6100, Klipsch Cornwalls, Technics SL-1950. I still listen to my MA6100 with my 1981 Klipschorns! I miss my Cornwalls and will never forget the joy they brought to me. Enjoy the music from your new system!

    Congratulations on those Cornwall's Tim! Like you I was about to go with some Heresy IV's and just could not pull the trigger. I've been watchin videos and reading review for months. I have much less space in my listening room, only about a 7-8 foot max triangle and wasn't sure the IV's would work. I ended up going with some Zu's and once I got them placed correctly, it opened up a whole new experience that I'm loving now. I know you're going to go back through your collection and re-listen to all your faves to hear how they sound!

    Hey Tim- Welcome to the Klipsch Club!! So great to see you got some serious speakers- very nice! Bought a pair of KLF 20's new in 2001- still have them-but they are packed away-why? Because I'm now running a pair of Cornwall IVs. It took a while to break them in, but they have really opened up. I use them with either my Marantz 2325, or an HH Scott 222C tube amp. I have a Technics 1200g and an Ortofon MC cart, and the sound is mind- bogglingly good. I have had zero listener fatigue. Re-discovering your record collection all over again with those new speakers must be a real joy. Check out an OG of The Royal Scam- the kick drum and bass is insane. Congrats!!

    I found a set of mint used Heritage Fortes I speakers about 1.5 hrs away back in the early spring. I've had them a while now and they've been amazing. I have done a lot of research on re-capping them with Crites crossover kits. Have you looked into that? I'll probably do it this February, a good birthday gift. Congratulations on the Cornwalls!! In 2025, I either want a set of new Cornwalls or Fortes, I just don't know what is the right thing to do. I have a 15' X 21' room and the Fortes certainly fill the room, heck the whole 3,800 sqft house.

    Just discovered your channel. Enjoying the knowledge you share. Also excited to see you enjoying vintage Cornwalls. I discovered vintage Heritage speakers a long time ago. I now have Khorns, LaScalas and two pairs of Heresy. Yes...I have a problem. I own other brands, but none give me the emotional connection that the Heritage line does. I hope you have a long lasting relation with them. :). Perhaps my favorite album on mine is Chicago II. What can be said...horns do horns justice.

    I know many, including Klipsch themselves, recommend crossing the tweeters’ axes in front of the listening position as you have done. I have Cornwall IVs (have also had 1s and 2s) and experimented with this approach. I have found that toeing them in slightly so that the left tweeter is pointed at your left shoulder and vice versa provides the best soundstage and smoothest response. Looks like you found yourself a stunning pair!! Congrats!

      @Grooverski Před 10 měsíci

      @@Universityofvinyl Probably best to get familiar with your new Cornwalls II for now but in the future, I would suggest an upgraded crossover network which you can easily swap in the future. It won’t affect the value or originality since the swap is totally reversible since all of the network components are a fixed to a board. Just a matter of reconnecting driver wires.
      Another tip. If you will happen to have larger group of people and larger/wider sweet spot is required, angle right speaker (tweeter) at your left shoulder and the same for left speaker. So the direct line from both tweeters crosses a foot or so, in-front of your face.

    Hi Tim, Don in NE Fort Fun here. I dropped in to hear what your first experience with the Cornwall IIs was, and was delighted when you mentioned you are in Fort Collins. I've long been sure that there must be lovers of superbly recorded hi fi music here, but just never ran into any before now, other than a few that I've coaxed onto the periphery, so to speak. I am not much a vinyl guy any more, but I get the fascination and recall fondly the endless youthful hours flipping through bins at Bach or Rock ($4 LPs!) and Rocky Mountain Tapes and Records here in the Fort. My thing is DIY audio because it's how I am able to afford top tier sound quality to serve my love for unveiled music playback such as your Cornwalls are delivering. Klipsch Forte 1s were my gateway drug to high efficiency dynamics and I possess what I call "an embarrassment of Klipsches" 😁 but my go-to system---when temperatures in my unheated barn's man-loft facilitate---is a Frankenstein collection of scrounged, mostly "pro" drivers centered around LaScala bass horns and gigantic Electro-Voice mid horns, all actively multiamped via DSP, which you can view and sample on my embryonic YT channel. Would love to meet you and give you a tour and audition sometime! Cheers!

    I was in a shop listening to the Cornwall 4 through a streaming service last week. They sounded great but not what could have through an analogue system. Songs I knew didn't have the bass they should have had. I'm on the fence about them but I think I'm going to take the plunge next month. They are extraordinary.

    Hi Tim, congrats to the Cornwall. They look beautiful and i wish i could hear them. Yesterday i "accidently" saw one of your videos and found so much in common, that i watched a lot of your previous videos just to confirm that. In my livingroom i have a pair of Klipsch Forté that are driven by a Sony TA-F 870 ES. I listen also with two vintage japanese truntables from the beginning of the eighties. Furthermore our music taste is overlapping so much that i got more curious what your listening to. Steely Dan / D. Fagen are in my alltime top 10 artists ever. I also think that in the Dan catalog Goucho is a bit underrated. A perfect Album for me on so many levels. But not to bore the rest of the viewers i send you a short note through your contact formular. Sorry for the bad grammar and cheers from Bavaria, Tom.

    I think I have that same Herbie pressing, 1973 with the black 'B', right? Sounds great! Got many others of his early pressings too. BTW, if you ever get a chance to hear Chad's 2-45 pressing of Herbie's Head Hunters, you will be blown away!
    Oh HELL YEAH, You can *totally* tell the new speakers sound great, good for you Tim! They appear to be arranged more symmetrically than you had the other ones. Not to be critical, but I always kind of cringed a little seeing the way you used to have one speaker turned in and the other looked like it was straight out. But these look like you have set up more equally. FWIW, it looks a *LOT* better and I would bet that your imaging is also much better too! 👍

    Hi Tim from Ontario, Canada!!
    I'm new to your channel but I'm not new to you.
    I have seen you a number of tines on Steve Westman's channel and I have to admit??
    I get frustrated because for everything that you are present in his roundtables you're not given much of a voice and that infuriates me.
    No, I won't like sleep over it...l!! But it is annoying to see you many times just sitting there...albeit patiently while others go off and on about silly things.
