Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC since November 23rd, 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called "The Doctor", an extraterrestrial being, appearing to be human. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. Its exterior appears as a blue British metropolitan police box, which was a common sight in Britain in the 1960’s when the series first aired. Accompanied by a number of companions, the Doctor combats a variety of foes like the Daleks and Cybermen while working to save civilisations and save people in need.
Beginning with William Hartnell, over fifteen actors have headlined the series as the Doctor. The transition from one actor to another is written into the plot of the show with the concept of regeneration into a new incarnation and body, a plot device in which a Timelord "transforms" into a new body when the current one is too badly harmed to heal normally.
Ncuti Gatwa had previously been announced as Jodie Whittaker's successor after David Tennant reprises his role as the doctor in the 60th anniversary specials as the programme's lead, and many reports stated he would play the Fourteenth Doctor and that Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor would regenerate into an incarnation portrayed by Gatwa. Upon Jodie Whittaker's final appearance as the character in The Power Of The Doctor, she instead regenerated into a form similar to the Tenth Doctor. This character, portrayed by Tennant, was confirmed to be the Fourteenth Doctor, with later clarification that Ncuti Gatwa would actually portray the Fifteenth Doctor. Ncuti Gatwa’s 15th doctor has also had his companion announced as Millie Gibson playing Ruby Sunday live on Children In Need.
On 24 September 2021, the BBC announced Russell T Davies would return to Doctor Who as showrunner, after having previously acted as showrunner from 2005-2010 for the Ninth and Tenth Doctors. He will succeed Chibnall for the show's 60th anniversary in 2023 and beyond. Davies will be joined by the Bad Wolf production company, which was founded by former Doctor Who executive producer Julie Gardner and former BBC head of drama Jane Tranter. In October 2021, it was announced that Sony would acquire a majority of Bad Wolf. Bad Wolf also took over creative control of Doctor Who beginning with the specials, allowing the BBC to focus on establishing Doctor Who as a global brand. The new era of Doctor Who is being labelled as RTD2 as it is Russel’s second era of Doctor Who.

something i really like about the new season is the costuming, it looks like 15 will be getting a lot of different outfits which i think is super cool and fits ncuti gatwa really well
Also, notice how some of the outfits are callbacks to different doctors, the leather jacket for 9, the 60s blue suit for 10, the velvet red regency outfit for 12. Yes they are not exactly the same, but similar, like paying homage to previous outfits.

Maybe it just me, but I think the reason they put "Church on the Ruby Road" clips in the trailer is beause maybe they associate that specials as a part of Season 1 as well (maybe due to it being a part od Disney, so they like, combine then all in one series... instead of a series, and a movie. cause let's be honest, not many shows do a full fledge series, then wait for a few months before doing a special)
I went to Oxford for a week for work and the sky looked like that the whole time-grey. Except when it rained. Which was a lot.
They need to stop showing the gorgeous silvery blue logo if they aren’t actually gonna use it. I was so annoyed when I saw the Xmas ep and they used the same credits from the 60th with the navy/yellow one. Give me this one!

The one thing I hope for this new season of Doctor Who I hope and prey this one dosent suck. If it does and they result into remaking classic doctor who episodes then I don't know what to say. I'm a classic doctor who fan. I enjoy the Tom Baker Episodes as well as the others and I don't want them and the others to be remade if it happens. So I say to you Disney don't screw this up.

He feels alien enough. Tennant's Doctor is very beloved and he was the most human of Doctors. Matt was the most alien like to begin with but became a little more human with time.
