Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC since November 23rd, 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called "The Doctor", an extraterrestrial being, appearing to be human. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. Its exterior appears as a blue British metropolitan police box, which was a common sight in Britain in the 1960’s when the series first aired. Accompanied by a number of companions, the Doctor combats a variety of foes like the Daleks and Cybermen while working to save civilisations and save people in need.
Beginning with William Hartnell, over fifteen actors have headlined the series as the Doctor. The transition from one actor to another is written into the plot of the show with the concept of regeneration into a new incarnation and body, a plot device in which a Timelord "transforms" into a new body when the current one is too badly harmed to heal normally.
Ncuti Gatwa had previously been announced as Jodie Whittaker's successor after David Tennant reprises his role as the doctor in the 60th anniversary specials as the programme's lead, and many reports stated he would play the Fourteenth Doctor and that Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor would regenerate into an incarnation portrayed by Gatwa. Upon Jodie Whittaker's final appearance as the character in The Power Of The Doctor, she instead regenerated into a form similar to the Tenth Doctor. This character, portrayed by Tennant, was confirmed to be the Fourteenth Doctor, with later clarification that Ncuti Gatwa would actually portray the Fifteenth Doctor. Ncuti Gatwa’s 15th doctor has also had his companion announced as Millie Gibson playing Ruby Sunday live on Children In Need.
On 24 September 2021, the BBC announced Russell T Davies would return to Doctor Who as showrunner, after having previously acted as showrunner from 2005-2010 for the Ninth and Tenth Doctors. He will succeed Chibnall for the show's 60th anniversary in 2023 and beyond. Davies will be joined by the Bad Wolf production company, which was founded by former Doctor Who executive producer Julie Gardner and former BBC head of drama Jane Tranter. In October 2021, it was announced that Sony would acquire a majority of Bad Wolf. Bad Wolf also took over creative control of Doctor Who beginning with the specials, allowing the BBC to focus on establishing Doctor Who as a global brand. The new era of Doctor Who is being labelled as RTD2 as it is Russel’s second era of Doctor Who.

im so excited for this season but the space babies episode being the first one is going to be such a hurdle to get over 😭 i cannot imagine a good concept coming out of that but,,, i have faith in RTD i guess!

I agree on the "Space Babies" title is a weird one it reminds if a Judge Dredd comic called "Tube Babies".

Theres plenty of times when 13 isnt terrified also. But like anyone the Doctor does get scared sometimes.

Wait how is pausing every 5 seconds a bad reaction video, if anything its better becuase at least you have something to say about it, while the alternative would be staring blankly into the screen and occasionally laughing or smiling. 4:40 it's like we forget the many thousands of years filled with torment, anguish and guilt. When he was introduced he had a dynamic of forgiveness and optimism; warming a previous incarnation of themself. There have been many moments of him crying that doesn't seclude the entirety of his character's strength🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

Honestly, the episode titles may sound a bit too cheesy, but they're pretty enigmatic. Not exactly revealing anything, yet the titles imply so many things.

One thing i really dont like from what im seeing is, that this iteration of the doctor doesnt stick to one suit, i really hate it when the doctor changes suit. Thats just me though i guess aha

Ncuti gives me Smith vibes with that just energy. Cannot wait tbh, even with my issues I have with RTD as a writer, I think with him back, Moffat back for 2 eps and some new blood to write a episode. Idk man, I feel positive about the future. This will also be the first Doctor since becoming a fan I'm going to be here for which is exciting.
