Gaede looks strong, great game. I've got the Maass and I love it. Hull upgrade takes her to 17.5k hp, and drops rudder shift down to 4.2 secs. Armor is resilient for a DD. She can take a beating, and I'm using AP almost exclusively. It packs a wallop. Great destroyer, by far my favorite of the ship class.
Played a few games on the Maass so far, that ship seems really nice as well
@Mark Huber not as a general rule, but have shot destroyers with AP loaded to some success
@Mark Huber HE in the Maass doesn't deal a lot of damage, but it's generally what I use against DDs. AP is very effective against broadside cruisers, and even battleships when targeting upper hull and superstructure at close range
Also, kudo's to "Checkmatic" in the Mutsuki for playing it smart. I see to often, players that snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, by aggressively attempting to destroy enemy ships and losing the contest.

Realistically very few games don’t have at least 4 aircraft in the air. Much more challenging to perform well. And it takes forever to grind and upgrade. As a cruiser guy all the videos make it look easy. Verses reality of hunting for 4 kilometers and getting discovered by aircraft.
They are just something you have to be aware of. An extra layer to the game
I don't get how you even have matches like this with a destroyer, as soon as I get spotted as a destroyer I get focused on and sank within 20 seconds every single game. And if I'm broadside to a battleship I get obliterated by it. I stay at max torp range and hope I get some hits because if I risk getting spotted for an alpha strike I lose everytime
What’s the best loudout for the Gaede?
So, first thought, or the big question (kind of the gorilla in the room). How did you get Erich Bey to rank 11, legendary status, in what seems a very short time?! Is this from focusing on promotion orders and insignia? Have this ship unlocked, just earning the clams to purchase it. Great vid.
I unlocked him about a week before the DDs dropped, and had saved promotion orders with the intention of leveling up him if I got him, or von Spee who I had, before they launched. Haven't used any insignias on him yet, but he is a priority commander to max since his trait will be used on all DDs

Omaha. Yubari. Atlanta. Any of the German cruisers. Any ship with sonar / radar
The IJN cruisers have heavy HE shells that love to snack on DDs

First recommendation, get into playing DD's. That's how you learn to hunt them down. As for cruisers go, any that have fast firing guns, with decent turret rotation, are feared by DD's (Atlanta is murderous). I find my best DD killer to be 1) USN DD's, (with a nod to RN DD's with hydro) then, 2) St. Louise, Omaha, Konigsberg, Nurnberg, Yubari (don't laugh, it truly ruins DD's). I haven't played the tier 6 and up cruisers enough to have an opinion, but anything with radar (Baltimore is murderous) at higher tiers.
@@darrenvanderwilt1258 Thanks. I do play a lot DDs, sure. Isokaze my favorite. But in these days I start a game and I get squads of 5 or 6 DDs enemies....so... don't like the DD Call of Duty game.
Are you considering doing a video to help players achieve Krakens and 150,000+ Damage? Think those are the missions people may struggle with.

😂 The only two ships you can do it on so far is the Gaede and the Z-23. It's one of the ship upgrades

Turned into a good Game of Throws episode, that Aoba could easily have murdered that Mutsuki - which not only has the worst DD guns in game, barely has gunS plural.
Yeah that was pretty lucky. Not gonna complain when the scrubs are on the other team though

Tactic has a video out describing the RN destroyers, and in it he has a graphic that still makes me laugh...he is trying to show where the RN DDs lie on the curve that runs from the United States of Guns to the Empire of Torpedoes...the latter definitely describes the Mutsuki...groan...
@@Zapranoth-lf8nt Yes, I saw that one. I had to grind the Mutsuki without Raizo Tanaka, only had Kurita at the time. Would have been less painful with his skillset, definitely.
Pesky German DD's and their OP Sonar.
Gunboat only at T5. T6 DD's will eat it alive and stack the bones under mummy's bed.
The sonar doesn't massively outrange the UK sonar at this tier. Does it get longer range as you go up the line?

Legendary bey is a killer...keep in mind I hate the germans with a passion...but if I didn't I would use bey...i used him 4 times total all 4 times i came out with krakens...i hate germans even more after that lmao
