    I hunt in really thick and really hard stuff, plus I do 15km per hunt per day. I always had low quality boots and my feet always hurt for couple of days after hunt.
    When I saw You two talking so good about Crispi's Lapponia I had decided that I have to buy them. I had saved 2 months from my salary to get them. Putting them on for the first time on my feet, I had realized that all of that Guess, Replay - casual footwear that I wear, cannot even compare to Crispi's boots. It's like your feet are in heaven.
    So thx You two for that recomendation and from now on, I buy only Crispi! :)

    Brian and Ryan, this was one of the most helpful and educational videos I’ve seen for hunting gear maybe ever. Watching your caribou video the swamp bogs exactly mirror where I hunt in northern minnesota and understanding more about your boots and pants system really is gonna help me a lot deal with the struggles of wet and cold. I really appreciate you guys and this episode especially. THANK YOU

    I wear size 15 so Crisipi’s aren’t an option for me. I have some non-insulated Kenetrek Mountain extremes and they are pretty awesome. Wish that Crispi made 15’s, especially in the Wildrock+.

    For hunts where I'm not as concerned with weight heated/electric socks work really well for me. It's warmer then hothands and some are rechargeable. Also you don't have to have the heat turned on so the double as a decent wool hiking sock. Have y'all tried that?

    Caribou hunting, I like a boot that’s stiff but not mountain climbing stiff. 3 pairs of boots on a float hunt as well or while I’m moose hunting depending on where: hiking/hunting boots (waterproof), wader boots for my waders, and camp shoes (crocs)

    The SG M7 system is awesome for late season or cold hunts. It is good to hear your feedback on it as I had the same feelings. I used the top and bottom M7 for late season rifle in MT this year. It was cold and windy just like you guys experienced, but the system bucked the wind very well. Great podcast!

    Hey could you do video on how you took care of the meat, hides and the velvet on the caribou antlers. You're on a multiple day hunt, floating, lots of rain etc etc. How did you preserve the meat and maybe how did you get it on the plane, what are airlines requiring now. I don't see any big trips in my future so mainly I want to know how you do take care of this stuff on multii day hunts. Thanks in advance, love the shows.

    "Thick green wool pants if you can remember those".... I STILL WEAR THEM! lol I'm lookin for one of these newer, hybrid brands to reinterpret wool into a more modern day pant. FL tried with the Merino but a lot of reviews claiming they're too fragile. C'mon Kuiu - you can do it!

    • @GrittyGearAndPodcast
      @GrittyGearAndPodcast  Před rokem +1

      They take a 3600mAh Rechargeable Battery. You could pack a 2nd battery for backup if you don't have a way to charge it. Multiple times this year we were on 10 plus day hunts and never had to recharge the headlamp. That is even during the late season where the dark hours are long. We achieve this by running the headlamp on the lowest setting, which is plenty bright for almost everything you need. I have used the headlamp for over 51 hours on the lowest setting. It has been pretty incredible.
