I like that party line idea, and I like that you are very attention to detail with your description of how to remove parts. Thank you.

Your videos saved me! My 2014 Forte with a 1.8 had the actuator fail. My engine was a little different than this one but the concept was the same. It took me time but my car is back on the road! Thank you!

This is one of the best tutorials I've seen. Great job. I also love the humor with the lady filming for you 😅😅. Subscribed to your channel and look forward to more videos. Much respect from Colorado

I love how attention to detail you are in making sure that all the bolts go back into the holes they’re supposed to be in that is super rare in a mechanic

Same, that engine was moving too much preventing his full force from translating into the bolt, would be something to loosen first in the future before taking off the engine mount

What was the problem in this car to change the timing chain ?

Just had mine replaced with 100,000 2014 Kia Forte. Much cheaper and less damage then having it snap on you. I would also recommend getting the water pump changed while your at it

Question: if timing chain tensioner and VVT gears operate by oil pressure, would it not stand to reason that chain will be loose when engine is not running? Installed new chain, guides, tensioner, getting exhaust cam retarded code. Removal of valve cover, chain can be manipulated to be "loose"

Hey bud, great work, videos and dedication. I love it. That being said, I own a 2015 Kia Forte LX 1.8 made in Korea, with 410,000 miles on it. Still in great shape both engine and transmission are original. I would love to have someone like you to take a look at it and help me reach at least 600,000 miles. What do you say? I live in Orlando FL, but I can drive anywhere. All the best.

Looks like the hydraulic tensioner failed on mine letting it jump time it wasn’t terrible out of time just had a miss at an idle hopefully it didn’t destroy the valves. I’m worried it may have messed something else up.
