Do you have any epic rides planned for the winter? Let us know đ
gap loop south wales 50 km :)
Do you mean the Roman road up from the reservoir?
I rode 20 miles yesterday on the trails
50km lap with a couple of hike a bike sections and lots of different terrain! It felt good but I'll definitely check Komoot to see if I can avoid those hike a bike sections! đ€
You guys should come visit New Zealand , there are great mountain bike tracks scatter everywhere around the country . The best inclued Waitangi
Neil: "It's so easy to sit inside and watch Netflix or CZcams or whatever"
Me: watching GMBN on CZcams "aw man"
Josh Conkerton he called you out huh?
@@christianmichael1970 Yeah lol, and everyone who liked it I guess.
Had the same feeling
Oh well, I'll put my lucky rocket ship underpants on tomorrow and get out for an epic ride myself. It's been a bit tough here in Oz of late, being on fire and all !! :(
-40 here today, so CZcams today, probably all week. i work out every day in the basement, so i'll get my fitness that way.
Blake is hiliarious! I love his lense cleaning method lolđ
Makes multiple videos about being "winter ready" and using mudguards etc.... Rides over 40 miles in the mud and wet with no mudguards.... :D
I dont understand the 'no mudguards' option either, on a long winter ride you need to limit the mud and water getting into eyes and those other sensitive places. Also good luck getting in a pub or cafe plastered in mud lol
tobye hillier I was going to ask the same question why no mudguards they offer off a stone protection at least for the front mudguard and stops the face splash mud .
@@doomweaver2007 I don't think they planned it to be that muddy in fairness, but there's still a lot of kak to get in the face on those kinds of ride đ€ź
I was going to say similar.. I know the bikes look way way cooler with no mud guards, but I'd accept the geek/nerd mud guard look and stay cleaner / more comfortable on a longer winter ride like this.
@@tobyehillier Suspect follow up vid on how well the gortex gear kept them dry.... deliberately removed the guards
Neil and Blake... The dream-team
Obviously havenât watched Blake and Martyn. Neil is great though.
10:37 I see that Blake has really given thought to T.I.T.S
Two great presenters, loads of camaraderie and an epic ride - loved it - more of this please!
This is my local riding area! Love it!
I love these videos of Neil and Blake. Their great together and the filming is always top class. Sometimes they could do with being longer or split into several 15 min episodes. More please.
Maybe up and down Snowdon.
Back in the mid '90s when I was living in London me and a flatmate took the train to Bath on Easter Friday, and spent the long weekend cycling back to London. We followed the Kennett and Avon canal to Reading then the Thames to London, averaging 30 miles a day, and lunching and staying in pubs along the canal route. Almost as muddy as this trip. A fabulous weekend I'll never forget.
Getting ready for events in the summer. Little did they know the whole of summer was cancelled.
Blake and Neil you guys are the best! Come ride in West Virginia we can take you on some epic ridge riding! Look up North Fork Mountain Trail, Spruce knob, Tea Creek mountain and so much more!
Great ride. You donât have to throw yourself down a mountain every ride to have fun..
This is one of my favourite videos you have done, laid back, informative, slightly inspired to have a go myself!
Love all the epic rides. Especially with Blake AND Neil. More please!
Looks like a pretty decent gravel ride!
Living in Calne, The Ridgeway is my local - epic ride and you do get used to blasting in those ruts .... !! More epics pls guys !!
A great match of personalities and riding styles, I always enjoy watching these pair on their adventures, all the inspiration you need to get on your bike!
Cracking stuff....a British winter.....Enough said....not cold but just flipping muddy !!!
Blimey, boys... the filming/editing quality is ridiculously good. Another great video. Love it.
These two gentlemen complete each other. Love watching gmbn when you two are together.
They exude positivity and peace, I can't wait to get on my bike again!
Fenders really are a good thing. đđđđ Neat video, thanks.
you guys should get a mudguard sponsor on board :-D
Love the way Blake just licks the camera to clean the lens. More UK based epic rides, please.
Front mudguardđ
guys gonna do an epic ride on thursday!
So I took my new Boardman 8.6 from Hackpen to Overton and back yesterday. Came off 3 times, 1 puncture and a brusied backside and ego. You guys had it easy.
after seeing this, my mates and I decided to do it too.thanks for the content and suggestion!
You guys rock!!! Respect from Texas!!!
Love these type of rides, nothing overly technical just challenging your own stamina, proper sense of achievement when completed đ
6:00 Bingbong is inside a deep rut, can you make a vid about tackling deep ruts in a high and slow speed run? anyone also noticed neil wearing GCN kit under his shorts? hahaha Super Nice!
Brilliant video guys, thank you đ
awesome!! bit further east and there are some great trails in the Chilterns
good morning GMBN!!!!!
Sup! đ€đ
I thoroughly enjoyed that. My kind of ride. More of these open country rides please.
I love this kinda ride
Very well done! Love the ride, scenery and the videography!
Da frick Blake what you doing closing that gate on some hardworking camera man 2:33
This was so cool and filmed so well! You guys should do a behind the scenes episode where you go into how much work goes into shooting something like an Epic Ride! I'm sure it's a lot of work filming a GMBN vid!
The country side is amazing ! Great video guys.
I really enjoy the epic ride videos. Can't wait to see more. Some times double track rides can be more fun and scenic than single track. Please keep making videos like this, it makes me want to ride more often. I hope you guys do more epic rides that evolve camping as well. Thanks guys for all your hard work.
Now I am motivated to get in the saddle for my winter long epic ride ! đ€đ
The Epic ride videos are excellent! Keep up the good work đČđ
Love those videos! Keep that content up
More videos like this would be great đ
Wonderful video guys!
Wow love that ride, you guys have such Beautiful country side out there.
From all the mtb channels, your trips are the best ones. I wish you guys could do it more often. đđđ
Your support means a lot, Daniel! We love to make our adventure videos! Stay tuned as we're sure there will be plenty more throughout the year! đ
good riding guys..you 2 always bring the adventure.
Another story of Bouncing Blake and his mate Flegmatic Neil, thank you for sharing guys ;) !
I love this kind of weather, you finish exhausted but it's more than beneficial for the legs !
Cheers :).
Very enjoyable video....Thanks.
Antithesis to indoor turbo training. Sometimes the weather prohibits exploring, great we have the choice. Even a spin class if I canât get to an indoor trainer đ
dat lick tho...epic :))
Wow that ride looks so good. The scenery is gorgeous! It's been a long time since I read Robert McFarlane's "The Old Ways" but I swear this path must figure in his exploration. Thanks for sharing guys!
Thanks for that fantastic video. Yes, I'm sitting on the couch watching CZcams but I have an excuse. I'm starting my recovery from pneumonia and haven't ridden for 3 weeks with maybe another 3 weeks before I can get on my bike again. Videos like this are keeping me half sane !!
â€ïž hardtails
brilliant video
Nice tyres Neil! looks sweeet!
Nice epic ride. My neck of the woods and its great to see some of the familiar places I go to. Hope you enjoyed it.
Love U guys. Greetings from Poland !!!
Good bit of mud pluggin, epic winter ride!
That looks like an epic ride. And some great camera angles from the person behind the camera
Wonderful video!
Doing this next week. Nice video. Hope that water tap is bloody working when I get there!
#GMBN sick gum walls Neil!
Barbury castle. Right in the middle of my local loop.
Great video. White horse Hill is one of my favourite climbs too do.
I wish itâs wasnât so snowy here so I could ride
Neil: A "Quick" 70k ride
Blake:
Late but really nice to know you guys sit on your arses sometimes too! đ€Ł
I'm fascinated by those old roads. I hope to ride some when I hop across the pond this year. Maybe do part of the GB Divide in Scotland.
Good it was not too muddy out there.
great fun, I as well have started season already, riding through the forstest just besides town, and tell you what: riding in winter is great! I Enjoyed your trip, thanks a lot!
10:09 How did the lens tasted Blake đ
Mates 04 soooooooo good hahaha
Yeah.....the Ridgeway, done it,an epic ride, although I did it one summer, kudos to you guys doing it January.
This was pretty chill but fun! Next time, invite some of the GCN guys with their gravel bikes & also the EMBN chaps as well.
Live next to white horse love to see gmbn come near me
Great vid lads. Neil you looked like the dad and Blake like the big kid with way to much energy ha ha đ đđ»
Top ride guys. My back yard. It pays to have mudguards this time of year as you discovered the dirty way.
Great videođ. Damn its muddy up there đł
Really enjoy these long country rides. Next video... How to choose the proper fenders/mud guards.
Great Video! The lens lick was hilarious! lol
That looks horrible, I love it!
Fair play, I live local to the Ridgeway in Didcot and ride it a lot.... But stay off it this time of year, it's a total windy slogfest. It's great in the summer though, not technical but fast and you get a sense of wilderness which is rare is South of England. If your coming down this way try the Chiltern beech woods north of Reading/ Henley. They are natural single-track awesome!!đ
My local ride too!
An excellent illustration of why you need superb waterproof clothing in the UK.
Just a little bit of mud then đ€Șđ
The Ridgeway is on my list of rides to do, may get to do it this year but main goal Is The South Downs Way this year
Awesome video Neil, Blake and #GMBN đ đ€
Great piece guys, forget the ridgeway is on my doorstep. Will try and get back up there soon!
I do Wales, South Yorkshire to Lampeter, South Wales, 200 miles, start rother valley country park, chesterfield canal, tissington trail, iron bridge, and ncr 82.
6:49 đ caked bottles ... *_°yummy°_*
Why no mudguards?
I have no idea
Trialing mudhuggers atm, never used mudguards before but much rather keep my expensive clothing going longer and lower the maintenance down on the bike.
Suspect follow up vid on how well the gortex gear kept them dry.... deliberately remove the guards. Blake was wearing that non gmbn jacket, and neil Goretex shorts
âMeet me at the bar... dress like a biker.â
Super Troopers
vids are great!!!!!!
My favourite White Horse is the chippy in Northallerton đ
Going to try that next weekend when i pop through. Cheers for the recomendation :)
Can't believe you cycled past my home town aha
Thank you for your videos, watching this from Ucraine, im really apreciate this, I'm sorry for the mistakes
, dont know english well
Errr Guys! Crud Catcher are brilliant invention and excellent investment. Won't ride in winter without them
I thought White Horse is a pub too! I was disappointed! Imagine being there....
I'm 14 and I did a route like that for 100km, I did it for the Strava if I didn't watch videos like this I would never do it.
