However, among the strangest of species is one standout alien - one with an crazy background that I believe to be THE strangest species in the Halo Universe. At that point I would smack the first one I saw with his severed arm with a brute weapon nailed to it.
All while his blood brother is in a position where he seeing it all happen.
If his blood brother lived I would have made sure I install the chip simulating Cupid's Arrow on him so not only does he know and is fully aware that I did that to his blood brother, but he has no choice, but to serve me or suffer endless agony.

There are way too many damn Heroes around four people that look up to that if you let the bad guy get away or whatever the case may be that keeps them alive and just plan on doing it again.
If anything else if you think that's bad I could do far worse.
Like take Middle-Earth Shadow of War for example I was attacking another orc which is nothing out of the ordinary and then his blood brother decides to come and try and save him.
So I shame that orc right in front of the one that tried to save him and made him deranged or crazy in other words, then I dominate his blood brother have him kill the one I made deranged and of course he turns against me, which was part of the plan which gave a perfect opportunity to shame and make him deranged as well and then I had my crazy executioner finish him in a duel and one-sided one no less just to see him fall.

In a way, it makes sense that the responses are different between the two. The Forerunners likely found completely different things from us to be cute and the like.
@@Techhunter_Talon Or they didn't find other things cute at all, which was why the Precursors ultimately decided to try and hand over the mantle of responsibility to humanity, which the Forerunners didn't like either, starting the Forerunner - Precursor war...

Ok honestly I see this as a thing:
Spartan 4 loses his shield
Floatyboi comes up and fixes it
Spartan pets him then finishes the mission
Late but it kinda happens like this in the novelization
I’m also kinda late to this but in the Spartan Field Manuel it advises Spartans not to get close to Engineers on the Infinity with their suits on. The reason why is because the engineers try to improve the suits and it’s described as “uncomfortable”.

One detail I remember from the Halo novels was when the Masterchief witnessed an Engineer disassemble a car, laying out the pieces nice and orderly, and I always thought it was adorable at the idea of in their dedication to Forerunner tech the Huragok were genuinely curious of the technology of other species, even if it belonged to the UNSC

Fun fact! Their naming conventions come from the manner in which they float
For example "lighter than some" "tends to drift" or as Virgil was once known "quick to adjust"

If I remember my Halo lore...maybe...A forerunner remarked on how neutral the Engineers are. As in they don't have the capacity to understand anything beyond their job. There are acceptions, yes, but even the covenant had trouble with them just going off and doing their own thing. I believe one book remarked how most ship members would go their entire lives not seeing one of the engineers assigned to their ship. Still the best species in Halo lore by far.
I'm so glad my boy Virgil is still alive! I hope he returns in Infinite or that we see Cheif or a Spartan team have one as a companion. With their over shield creating abilities, it might be a neat idea. I honestly hope that the UNSC finds more and gives them a proper home on Earth or New Reach should it come out of ONI's grip so more can come into being and aid humanity. I think that if the UNSC does this, the Engineers will align themselves with Humanity over the Forerunners. And given that Virgil has undying loyalty to Sadie, it's quite possible that it can be done. We'll just have to see.
"Ghosts of Onyx" was one of my fav books. Such an awesome story, and we get to see the cool-af spartan 3s and their SPI armor. Oh and there are cute engineers, and scary sentinels, and a scary sentinel planet.... Ya great book.

Look at a grunt without their masks, I think the answer is fairly obvious.
Engineers won't eat you when they get hungry.
Instead, they'll light you cigar, fix your ancient tech and give you a super charged shield.

Honestly, I think that the Forerunners could count as one of the strangest creatures in the Halo universe.
They literally modify their bodies to suit their different roles in society, they rarely take their armor off, they don't need to sleep, and they can live effectively indefinitely for tens of thousands of years. That's pretty strange if you ask me.

One of my fav Halo moments is when the engineer lit Sgt. Johnson’s cigar. So awesome, cute, and convincing that it was probably forced into the covenant.

I noticed something while playing ODST yesterday but it you kill all the enemies and right before the engineer self destructs you can see it begin to panic in fear with its tentacles. Kinda sad knowing you can't do anything for them.

In The Fall of Reach, John even sees one dismantle a car to base parts and rebuild it in minutes and just float on by like it forgot its morning coffee.
I believe the engineers are described in one of the books as "autistic" in its ways of fixing things. Which I find adorable.

the engineers are quite notable and unique as their role makes them stand out, the one thing that stand out to me the most is that by technicality is that they are the first none humans to be intergrated into the UNSC military assuming hte sargent johnson cutscene is none cannon but regardless they were intergrated so well that they went straight to work, people glare at them but those glares quickly disappear

Wow just looking at them close their eyes they seem so expressive it's crazy how while you can animate something and how is where you can convey emotion with just eyes even on something we perceive as alien the slight movement of its tentacles the squinting of a ties to emulate enjoyment

Would you be interested in doing a video about the how the Library was infected during the events of Halo CE. I've always wondered how such a large flood force got there from the flood containment facility featured in the 6th mission. Additionally could you provide some context as to how long it was between the attack on Keyes' squad and John's arrival to the containment facility. I know Echo 419 mentions the last transmission was from over 12 hours ago, but that's it. Thanks, I absolutely adore your content!
