The Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on the ancient civilizations and Ancient Celts continues with a second season. In the first episode we discussed the Medieval origin of Wales, taking a tour of the Cumbric Kingdoms of 6th to 8th century Britain and exploringthe complex relationships they held with their Anglo-Saxon neighbours. @@transylvanian8437 Nobody gets a plot of land, there's no evidence they plant trees, and the titles do not exist in any legal way whatsoever. The company has no presence in Scotland and is based out of Hong Kong.
The company is also responsible for numerous other scams, including the Kamikoto knives (which are $10 knives sold for $270).

@@hellothere-ln9ot about what exactly? Established titles does not give you legal title to a plot of land or the right to call yourself a Lord or Lady. They may give some of your money to plant trees in Scotland but you could donate directly and cut the the middleman. Most art never gains in value and anything people are pushing this hard is most likely a bad idea rather like crypto currency. These are things best left to the experrs. Did this help?

@@victorkumps6846 apparently, yes. Mine is Thai with Sanskrit influence which is not that hard to pronounce if you speak one of hundreds of Indo-Aryan languages or Khmer and many Tai-Kadai languages. Unlike Celtic-based one like Welsh. There're very few surviving related languages for you to rely on.

I think I'd accept that the videos were produced before the scam issue became widely known.
However, the fact that they're still pinning comments promoting "holiday sales" is a clear indication that they aren't concerned about the uproar they're receiving on almost every video recently.
Perhaps they think they're a big enough channel that they don't have to worry about pissing off a few subscribers.
They're wrong.
We can live without one of a multitude of decent history channels far better than they can live without subscribers, if people stand by their principles and unsubscribe.
That's exactly what I'm going to do, right now.

In 838 a Viking fleet allied with the Cornish and invaded Wessex, though they were defeated by Ecberht at Hingston Down in Devon. However after this there is very little English control in Cornwall and significant evidence of Scandinavian settlement and trade.

I don’t know what’s in the contract, but using words like official this and official, that everything… Leads people to believe that they actually own the land, and can legally change their names on legal documents, based on an acquisition of plot which turns out is just a “souvenir plot” they don’t own.
A little more transparency is needed.

Always amazing how much geo-political maneuvering can be packed into a relatively small space like the British Isles.
An island that was under Roman rule for centuries, but far enough from Rome that it had many of its own customs and noble houses. In the aftermath of the fall of the Western Roman Empire, and complete loss of imperial stability, some wanted to continue that way of life (but it wasn't sustainable), or vied for independence. It led to nearly 1000 years of fracturing, allegiances, backstabbing, usurping, conquering and being conquered, familial changes, etc, until they became the greatest naval power with ports in every time zone on earth.

While the spelling is different from English, the rules for it are actually pretty simple, and few of the sounds are not common in English (and of those, they tend to be relatively easy for a native English-speaker to pick up). Once you learn the (relatively simple) rules, it is mostly pretty easy.

I did some family research and found out that I am a direct descendant of Merfyn Frych. Fascinating to see a documentary about the Welsh rulers of that age!!

Could you do a documentary on Thomas Blake Glover, also known as the Scottish Samurai? He is a Scottish Merchant who did some important things in the Bakumatsu and Meiji Periods in Japan (fun fact: There is a statue of Thomas Blake Glover in Glover Garden, Nagasaki)

Very well explained, the map helped a lot. While I'm happy to be Welsh, I have to say that our tribal nature must have made it a nightmare to try to live peaceably if that's what you wanted to do. And in-fighting always made us vulnerable to unified enemies. A bit like the native peoples of North America. Imagine if they all fought together as one nation! European colonists would still be clinging to the East Coast.

The obvious answer to this is that they have a long term contract and this cannot break contact with them.
@@Opochtli there's a couple videos about it. They are in Hong Kong for starters... They have no legal right to give you a title . And the plots of land are "souvinere" plots you don't actually own them.

Scottish law forbids to sell such amount little land and of course bying land dosen't grant you a titles and they don't habe the authority to grant any titles. Of course they don't even plant trees.
They recently said they have chosen to stop doing a particular sponsorship in the most recent Ukraine video. I am guessing it is the established titles one.

I would cut ties with Established Titles. Another history channel I watch already has, and I’m sure many others are, too. It’s a scam. Your history content is phenomenal, and sponsors are what make them possible. But you have to make sure they’re legitimate. This one, unfortunately, is not.

went to the welch marshes ..to the left of birmingham on the map.behind offars dyke area. traveled for nearly 3 years looking at old monestry/church records and maps

as a welsh man I have to say that the number of castles in Wales reflects one thing.....
the welsh didn't throw in the towel ....like the the English did after Hastings.

@World Citizen Edward never exerted the degree of control over Wales to manage an extensive slave population. And no, Edward imported entire towns of English to build and maintain the castle-town occupation system that he set up, to the extent that it nearly broke the English coffers.
And, for that matter, slavery in Wales DID have what amounted to a minimum wage during the Middle Ages. The law codes afforded them certain rights and their situation was more comparable to serfdom than chattel slavery.

ESTABLISHED TITLES is a scam - you should not further promote it.
