Shoutout to creators such as Dream, TapL, Wisp, Silver, & McBirken for inspiring this Minecraft Manhunt But video! - Hry
Since they always talk about how the seed is set, and sometimes you blame some of the weirdness of the twist on the seed just being weird. You should do a hunt where you mess around in the world in creative mode beforehand. Leave mobs in places they don't spawn and put op stuff in chests. Put an absurd amount of hay blocks in villages. You could use the structure blocks in game to have improbable villages and other structures everywhere. Possibly trap some locations. Balance it however you want. Just blame it all on a random weird seed. It'd take some preparation time, but the hunter's reactions to everything being cursed would be fun.
Plus it could turn out pretty op if you know where a bunch of stuff is ahead of time, which could be a good manhunt twist just on its own.

Going off the more hay in villages idea, maybe make bigger villages in general and TNT pressure plates on the inside of the house’s doors and maybe an extremely massive desert temple with every redstone trap known to minecrafter. Basically trap everything you don’t plan to go to. Possible name: “Minecraft Manhunt But I Set The Seed.”

You can make superior versions of tools and armors by using tools and armors to craft. Like putting 8 leather chest plates in the crafting table in the shape of a chest plate.
Sticking with the bow theme.... Minecraft Manhunt but I get whatever I shoot with a bow (special crafting recipe again... of course)
Hit a block: get that block
Hit an entity: it instantly kills it... AND...
aggressive mobs-get their spawn egg (who are friendly to whoever threw the egg, but don't TP like pets)
passive mobs-get cooked food of that type (Villagers give golden apples)
other things like... Ghast attack-get a fire charge... Hunters/Dragon/End crystals-Power 3 or less (just not too OP)
Idea: manhunt but I actually did set the seed, manhunt but compasses don't work, manhunt but I use one of my hunters' skins, or manhunt but there's no twist.

It has always been that way in vanilla Minecraft
They don’t poison me either and I don’t use plug ins so probably not
It’s a small chance that they poison because me a my friend found one and never got poisoned once
If you play in easy mode you can’t be poisoned from them
