16:33 What frustrates you the most in martial arts
    ---
Welcome to the Martial Arts Journey CZcams channel!
My name is Rokas. I'm a Lithuanian guy who trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually, I realized that Aikido does not live up to what it promises.
Lead by this realization I decided to make a daring step to close my Aikido Dojo and move to Portland, Oregon for six months to start training MMA at the famous Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head coach Matt Thornton.
After six months intensive training I had my first amateur MMA fight after which I moved back to Lithuania. During all of this time I am documenting my experience through my CZcams channel called "Martial Arts Journey".
Now I am slowly setting up plans to continue training MMA under quality guidance and getting ready for my next MMA fight as I further document and share my journey and discoveries.

Between you two, Sensei Seth, Ramsey Dewey (and yes, even Icy Mike) and so many others, it seems like a great dialogue on what works, what is important, and what people study martial arts for. Look forward to seeing more like this!

On a macro level, I've learned a lot these last 5-6 years. Looking at the political divide during the Trump presidency, it is clear to me that both sides are toxic when they attack each other. I have opinions but, I'd rather avoid discussing them if it leads to arguing and talking shit.

Jessie's karate looks really good from my yellow belt perspective, I think once the quarantines over, that it's not just about yourself in developing better skills though, it can definitely help learning karate in Palmdale and gaining new perspectives over time, after quarantines are over and all that of course, with sensei Pepe Melan, taught by number 10 on karate's top 20 greatest masters, Hidetaka Nishiyama out of LA, who was taught in part by Gichin Funakoshi.

Placing value on cold, hard facts does not make one arrogant, or cold-hearted. On the contrary, it shows, reflects that we are not in possession of all the truth or the knowledge and we therefore place value in learning as much as in teaching, if not more. It shows more humility than arrogance and one should never be ashamed or regretful for valuing facts and truth, objective truth, over the emotions.

    One cannot encapsulate truth.
One seeks truth, develops their understanding of truth and tests that understanding, whether against the observations of others or against their circumstances or by the struggle to achieve one's goals.
None of these things are a destination. They are not truth. Truth is the journey and the journey has not ended.
So if you find yourself lost or struggling to find the will to continue forward? Examine what you know and ask yourself whether there is more to know and whether, when you learn that new thing, will it confirm your perceptions or deny them.
The wise man understands that neither possibility will occur. The only certainty in life by any measure, whether one's charity or frugality or preparation or temperament,or physical conditioning or any other measure in which we can evaluate our selves, their is no certainty.
Circumstances will change. We will too.
