    Just a clarification on the Studio comment. I wasn’t very clear in the video. We just need a designated room, very simple, in our home. In our last house we recorded in our living room basement. When we did series like this one, the lights and cameras where always set up and it took away from the kids play place and it wasn’t fair to them and hard on everyone. The room you see in this video, is the house we are renting temporarily. Homeschooling and having 6 children and the 7th coming, every room in the house counts. So a separate room that could double as a bedroom in the future is what we are planning for our studio 😀.

    I agree with you . Going to confession is not easy, but having a good confession ( that requires God’s help) is always a time of joy and Peace. I feel especially loved by Jesus. Thanks for your messages.

    Can I just say how much we appreciate that you keep the occasional banter between the two of you, like when Ken was wrapping up the video too early this time :). It makes the videos so pleasant and natural and helps us to feel like we're having a conversation with you in your home.

    Timely message….I regularly make confession but have felt I needed to improve. Those four points will help me focus. This was perfect! And Janelle’s final thought/point was most encouraging. As for Patreon, i decided a while ago to support your ministry because you can’t do this for free. Each and every “product” that you produce provides quality content in accordance with Catholic Church teachings….that’s priceless. I consistently feel like I’m learning more about and growing in our faith….thank you for what you do. And really, that’s what convinced me to commit to monthly contributions. Will prayerfully consider how I can further support your ministry. God bless you and your fam.

    Yes, yes, yes!! Confession at least once a month. It becomes less of a struggle. It helps so much when forming our conscience. It helps to overcome our weaknesses. It makes me sad that people resist this very beautiful gift from God. I can't say I've always been so diligent. The stronger my relationship with God became, the more I realized that I don't want to offend Him and when and if I do I want to offer my apology in the confessional. I pray many find their way more often to the Sacrament. They'll never know what they're missing. I'm also concerned that many don't have good formed consciences, and that will keep them away.
    These podcasts are so very good! Thank you❣ I hope and pray that your patreon group grows.

    Wonderful message. I have the same issues. I tend to explain as if my penance will be lessened. Actually I feel the penancies aren't hard enough! I had a period in my life where I went once a year but now I go as often as I can trying to go once a month. I love confession. Thank you and I hope many people will show their support to you. God bless you both and your family.

Humble, prayeful and united to the Lord - your family to ours. The spirit of poverty unites us to Christ - keep as you are - yours in Christ Jesus x

      Hey Andie - Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We will keep the homily feel as we are not building anything fancy. We just need a designated room, very simple, in our home. I work with a non Catholic and we have good conversations (I just know she'll be Catholic one day) but I can't seem to tell her good enough to make her understand confession, she's so set on "you just have to go straight to God, not through a Priest". It's almost impossible to have someone understand that the Priest is acting in persona Christi at that time. I guess I can only plant a seed and let God help her grow.

    One time I went to confessions twice in one week because I was so desperate, and the priest said, that I should come once a week. I cried so much that I told the priest that this is the only thing that helps lighten my burden, stress and depression, and plus my sister the nun said, go anytime that you feel like you really needed it, John Paul the 11 goes almost everyday. The priest end up saying to take back what he said and come whenever I needed it.

    I Just Thought Of Something...When We Sin, We Sin "We Sin In Detail, And Intricately", And We Sin Without Shame, Many Times....So Why Should We Be Ashamed To Name Our Sins, "In Detail", And Have No Shame, To Tell All That We Have Done...We Are Still Carrying That "Fig Leaf Mentality" From Our Father Adam!!!!! Lord Have Mercy, And Help Us!!!!

    Confession for me has been an awful experience. I've had a priest tell me not to come in with my laundry list. I had another one ask me if I do anything right. I dread confession.

    • @Spiritof76Catholic
      @Spiritof76Catholic Před 2 lety

      I’m sorry that happened. Forget it and know that Jesus forgives you in his Sacrament of Mercy. When the priest recited the words of absolution it was Jesus who forgives you.

    We can all use the advice in making a better confession. Over the years, I would read pamphlets on the topic. I enjoyed listening to your suggestions and particularly liked not focusing on the sin but in the middle (one would have to listen to your explanation). Hey, number seven is coming. I'm looking at five girls and one boy! Maybe another boy?

  • @MFV77
    @MFV77 Před 2 lety +1

    I hate to point it out, but the typo on the quote from Paul VI is egregious! It’s definitely not a “ deceived” moment, but a “ decisive” one, as you stated. Sorry to be critical…. Your work is so excellent!

    • @Catholicspeaker

    Hi. You are very clear & inspiring, keeping it short & to the point. Thanks. Just a point of error which can completely change the message meaning : needed to be decisive not devisive. A couple of the previous videos had typos that can be opposite to what you intend. Looking forward to your next message. We use them for our Lenten journey in a small group. 👍🙏🏻

  • @michaelhaywood8262
