    Awesome video, I got a laugh out of the edge offset at 11:43 because you were totally in the right with the rationality of edge 1 being the horizontal

    Hello, i just subscribed yesterday to yours courses, it s already really interesting.
    I know, you prefer architect stuff, but it would be great to make a rebar video 😊

    Hello brother! I admire your knowlege of revit.
    Can you do a video on how to customize bolts and anchors in Revit please?
    Such as to show how to create custom diameters and lengths which are not available in the standard Revit program.

    Create holes?
    Autodesk should -somehow- have a way to make them automatically, like cut geometry command or change geometry order after join, they're both steel, they should be able to join together.

    Can we do the automated TAG process for manufacturing and assembly parts only with Revit?
    Or do I need to go for advance steel?

    Cool, but when should something be in 3D and when in 2D?
    Like this whole thing could be in 2D, what's more fast when you want to create a drawing?

  • @bjarnefredriktangen9608

    Why does the Bolt head thickness increase during your modelling? I have the same issue myself.

    Why it says “ the shapes for medium and fine detail level of connected elements are inconsistent “ please explain

    • @chrisklop1854
      @chrisklop1854 Před 2 lety

      Most steel sections have a medium detial level that is just a simpllified shape. (eg. I beams have square edges). at Fine detail level they are chamfered and rounded off to match closer what the actual real life shape of the beam is.

      @karlcorrz Před 3 lety +1

      @@MrDarrylhen But I highly recommend to leave it on the engineers or qualified structural bim modelers, the positioning of the nuts and bolts in this video is ridiculous tbh 😂
      hes an architect, why would an architect teach me BIM model steel structures? 😂

    • @AussieBIMGuru
      @AussieBIMGuru Před 3 lety +1

      @@karlcorrz i agree it's risky to teach outside field of experience, but there is a severe lack of engineers providing this type of publically accessible training. Need more of them to be honest.
      Rather than ragging on those having a go a productive solution is to make content for others to learn from. OP of this comment should do this if they care that much.
