Wiki: The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus or Tomb of Mausolus was a tomb built between 353 and 350 BC at Halicarnassus (present Bodrum, Turkey) for Mausolus, a satrap in the Persian Empire, and his sister-wife Artemisia II of Caria. The structure was designed by the Greek architects Satyros and Pythius of Priene. Its elevated tomb structure is derived from the tombs of neighbouring Lycia, a territory Mausolus had invaded and annexed circa 460 BC, such as the Nereid Monument.
Awesome video and beautiful building

Werent they brother and sister as well as husband and wife?
Nice video
Bedankt.
It's interesting how between the 3rd century BC and 1400 AD almost nothing is known about the mausoleum or even the city itself. As if nothing happened for 1700 years straight.
Awesome

1850 Newton from Britain brought magnificient pieces to england as usual.
If we never get to see the past, the one thing everyone desires, it would be a shame.
Hopefully the tomb is untouched. 😮🇦🇺
I hate how I try to look up this queen and get clips of that dumb 300 movie
