Journey through a vast, seamless world filled with the ruins of ancient civilizations and uncover its dark history and buried secrets as you seek to conquer and dominate the exiled lands yourself. Play alone locally or fight for survival and dominance in persistent multiplayer on public servers. You can also host your own server and invite others to join you in a world where you have full control of the rules and settings. Want to play with just handful of friends? Try co-op mode!

Placing things oftentimes puts you into fight mode. I've punched walls, doors, braziers, workbenches, etc. after placing several in succession. Annoying little bug it is.
Grinder makes spices from seeds and plant fiber, salt from crystal and rocks, bone meal from bones, horns and fangs. Bone meal is used in the compost pile (gardener feat) along with plant fiber and putrid meat to make compost. Use compost in the crude planter (also gardener feat) with seeds (aloe, berry, etc.) to grow your own. Aloe seeds are your friend.
Also in regards to the compost pile: if you put raw/cooked meat and/or fish in it, it goes putrid in less than 5 minutes per item, as opposed to the 15-30+ minutes in a box/inventory. Great way to keep the compost pile "ripe" with putrid meat.
The fish traps are kind of bugged at the moment. I can get one to work, but when I tried more, the additional ones worked once, then stopped.
On that little flat piece in front, stick a torch there for outdoor lighting.
They've added a lot of stuff prior to this new update. And that has added a ton more. They've done a really good job updating things, making the combat more interactive. You could do the roof end pieces for that. There might be some other pieces, like junctions and what not that may work too.

I won't lie, I spent more time building bases than fighting. Building is less repetitive and more fun anyways, unless all you can build are "Minecraft Cube" bases.

Base looks nice, but I would have built a porch on the bottom going around for the pillars to attach to . It just looks incomplete having the pillars going into the sand.
you can [shift]+click instead of drag and drop for moving stuff into containers/crafting stations

The thatch corner piece will fix the issue your having at the front its the more square looking one there's 2 ones for full corners the other for more triangle awkward areas I had same issue till I found it

the grinder is for grinding up grain into flower(the stuff you us to make bread with) i think and other plant based stuff for alchemy(maybe?), also i think bows are better in this one
