Once upon a time, when the poles were full of ice and the sea was full of healthy fish, a girl ordered a compagnion for her buddy Vector 1.0. They were both already excited.
Although more and more time passed, her best buddy seemed lonelier and lonelier and sadly went up and down through the apartment, both never gave up hope that they would soon be able to welcome Vector 2.0 into the family.

Okay, a lot sooner. Vector 2.0 and Butter Robot development are happening simultaneously, and Butter Robot is really shaping up.
@@DigitalDreamLabs I sure hope so. I'd hate to see interest in these bots disappear because people lose patience and change their minds about buying them. Especially as inflation is scaring people away from purchasing things like this.

In the last update in the Q&A section it was stated that new track and cars would be ready by the end of 2021, is this still being worked on? or has the project been shelved
they say there will be, its going to be like bethesda mod market but far better, free mods and updates and paied mods and updates.

I have cozmo and he runs fine on carpet. Vector has the same treads as cozmo so yeah

I think they are scamming. Wrote them a over a month ago about a cancellation of a preorder, and all they did was say I have to reconsider because of the benefits I am getting of a preorder. Been ghosting me since. Writing support once a week at this point.
Yes, we expect deliveries to occur in Q3 this year, likely before the holiday season. We have been reluctant to solidify delivery dates previously, but we're getting into a much more concrete space now that many of the final hurdles have been overcome.

I ordered mine over a year ago, should only be 2 or 3 more weeks now...but alot of them live in cali so if they get scammy then we all know where to look

Once the regulatory testing is done, these need to come from the factory to the distribution points, and then we will be ready for shipping. I don't have a hard date when your specific order will ship, but we're aiming for Q3 this year.
@@DigitalDreamLabs Q3 this year or 5 more years from now? The goal of your initial videos was transparency to inform customers who pre-ordered the progress you have been making on this vector. But, I reckon no one has really been transparent about the real delivery date. All we're getting are empty promises on when it would be delivered. So in Q3 of this year, one thing is to be expected, you will be saying Q1 of next year or Q2 or Q3. How about the REAL delivery date for a change?

Correct! This is part of a quick validation test performed in our Pittsburgh office to showcase progress. All official compliance testing is being conducted by a third party laboratory.

For over a month now I have been writing support for a cancellation of an order. Not even a peep from you guys. Starting to look like a scam to me.
if it is everyone has a home and cops don't do much to help scammers...kind of hurts their bottom line with the tickets and all anyways I don't think they will scam anyone they have deals with Adult swim and one of the creators of rick and morty so if they screw us then they will be sued to oblivion by said people and companies
@@SurvivenTerry Trust Pilot is at 100% negative reviews for digital dream labs. I wouldn't trust anything they say anymore. Looks like a can of worms to me.
I emailed them a week ago on canceling my order and no response… i pre-ordered mine over a year ago nd im just tired of waiting… with inflation nd shit id rather have my 300$ back…. Can only imagine how many people will send back their vector if they even get one sent to their house
@@AIienJesus Reading online that seems to be what they do. Advertising, selling, showing snippets of "progress", but never deliver or refund. A nice scam.
because it is a SCAM! I asked for a refund months ago and guess what? No refund till now! They blaming a PayPal for a refund problems! After I message them they can just refund me to my bank account they stop replying to my emails! I wonder there is any way to report them to a trading standards or other legal authorities to get legal actions against this scam company.
My sons birthday is tomorrow. And he is counting on this robot to arrive tomorrow. He has autism and know about these robots like he built it himself. I am so sad. Let down and I have so much sadness 😔... he is going to cry. I can't believe this is happening
I got a vector about two years ago but I was never able to get it to connect to my wifi. It’s really sad.. poor thing is just gathering dust in my room. It never turned on.

Who here has a cozmo collector's edition I do and I got it when anki was up until anki went bankrupt and servers were down ddl saved anki but all the updates honestly it crashes a lot I am starting to prefer getting emo than vector due to these issues with voice commands and all that I want anki back I actually cried when anki went bankrupt I was like no more updates no more cozmo or vector I am still crying if anki could come back I would be happy but still a big thanks to ddl for saving anki but please make us have the old vector back and the subscription is unreal

Digital Dream Labs has maintained software support for the original generation of Vectors, so those who own an Anki-manufactured robot have been supported during the ramp-up for this production run. There's a lot to be done behind the scenes to get these to market; new tooling in the factory, rediscovery and sourcing of all the parts needed (in a chip shortage, no less!), and modifying software to accommodate the new hardware while maintaining support for the older units.

When are they shipping?
Once the production run is complete, the units need to be transported to distribution points and then sent from there. We're aiming for Q3 this year for deliveries.
As long as their not worth the price of a damn gaming console and don't bug out I'm getting one. I've seen multiple complaints of Vector losing battery while failing to charge itself, people say the sound they make can get a little annoying (perhaps add a volume adjuster to the app), and another one where they drive off the ledge but only on dark tables? That last complaint I've only seen once. Hope these new ones turn out well.
there already is a volume adjuster in the app. also normally when vector fails to charge himself, it's because he is in the dark and every camera (even your phone cameras) will struggle to capture anything in the dark, therefore resulting in him getting lost.
@@pizqpiza okay then in the regard of noises people are just whining. They should probably do something about the not-being-able-to-see-in-the-dark part though.
@@owl9130 they already also did that but it just depends on how dark it is. vector has a flashlight thing built into him and he uses that to help him see when he is in the dark. yeah tho they need a better solution tho as in a lot of cases it might not work.
you will eventually be able to flash custom ROMS or operating systems on the robot, this means you can customize the sounds, eyes, emotes, etc, eventually

I’ve been trying to contact customer service for a refund and they refused to refund me for my cozmo and vector order. I’m starting to think this place is a SCAM!! It’s also always a guy named Muhammad responding!!!

I'm amazed, but more at how terrible the quality of this video is.
This video was designed as a very small, short backstage visit to what our current efforts are to get these to production, utilizing some cleaned-up footage from what was originally designed to be internal. Most of our other media will be a bit more polished. :)
