I carry the Ruger LCP in 380 with built in laser sighting. The bullet pretty much hits where the laser points out to about 50 feet. I was quite pleased with its performance. It's a true pocket carry gun.
M and P Bodyguard with Crimson Trace laser grip is a fantastic gun. This is the laser that turns on when you grip the gun, not the one where you have to push a button to activate it.
The secret to the Bodyguard heavy trigger is to use the first joint of your finger instead of just the pad of your finger you would use on most triggers. Also adding a +1 grip extension gives a full grip and 7 +1 rounds. Great accuracy at 7 yards with this set up.
Huge bodyguard 380 fan here , absolutely love mine , carry it everyday . mine is the no safety version ... I like the trigger myserlf , long and heavy but I like that in a pocket gun .. If your used to shooting revolvers in double action its easy to be accurate .
Most amazing thing about the gun is the grip and texturing , feels like a bigger gun in the hand
Video starts at 9 minutes. Before that it's just 1 gun that's way too big for your pocket, a bunch of discount codes, and random ramblings
your a lifesaver
🙌 thanks bro
God bless you and your family. 🙏💯
Thank you I was like wtf horrible video
THANK YOU!!! He's a really chatty kathy
Alabama Pocket Holsters have worked well for me, very pleased with their product and Customer Service. Thank you for this good and very helpful upload.
Good job! Personally, after 13 years of concealed carry experience, I wouldn't put the G43 or LC9s among my favorites picks for pocket carry. I think they're too big. Don't get me wrong, I can jam a G26 in my pocket (I don't wear skinny jeans), but I still think the other two smaller guns are a little too big to be best choices in the pocket. The Ruger LCP II is pretty good, but I prefer sights with contrast.
I have a S&W M&P Bodyguard 380. The trigger is amazing for the FIRST shot. In other words, it is smooth, but more important, I can pull the trigger with zero front sight disruption (it's very accurate). Its trigger is actually better than the six Glocks I've had (again, for the first shot). I can pull its trigger as well as any gun, but rapid fire is where any DAO trigger is going to lose accuracy. That said, these are for up close and dirty, and I prefer belt guns most of the time anyway like my G26 and SIG P229 Enhanced Elite (again, it's not like I don't have a tolerance for larger guns). I also prefer DAO for the pocket when I do carry that way because it's easy to forget and jam something in your pocket that could get caught in a holstered trigger guard if it's of the plush variety as kydex isn't very comfortable or concealable in the pocket in my experience (I stopped using my Alabama pocket holster that Hickok45 recommends).
That said, the shootability of the G42, coupled with its diminutive size compared with the G43, is something I've always had an interest in trying out. The Bodyguard won out, however, because it is the smallest gun that is comfortable in my hand, and I threw some XS Big Dots on it. I don't prefer those sights on larger guns, but they work exceptionally well for pocket rockets.
Btw, I am glad you did not include the SIG Sauer P365. That gun has a lot of potential, but I would not trust it anytime soon. The kind of problems it has had are going to require a track record with many rounds before I would ever trust it. They should have made it available in .380 which is less punishing on the gun. People should not underestimate that round. It's very effective and perfect for light pocket rockets. SIG's P365 ammo, btw, is technically less powerful than Underwood's .380 Xtreme Defence rounds (by only 1 or 2 foot lbs). That says a lot when a gun manufacturer produces a .380-like 9mm round for one of its firearms.
So glad I saw this! For years I've been jogging in my speedo and haven't found the right gun until now. Ty so much!
This hegshot idiot thinks you can put an LC9s in your speedo LOL
My Grandfather passed down he’s 3.80 colt mustang. MK IV from the 1989 nice little weapon.
Love the Ruger LC options. Mine is the LC380, fits well in my pocket in a Desantis pocket holster with the pinky extension. Same size as the LC9 but chambered in .380 and the recoil is almost nonexistent. It's also the easiest gun slide to rack that I have ever known. A great pocket / truck gun over all. I also have a Glock 42 with +2 extended magazines from Vickers Tactical (I highly recommend these) which I like as well for the same reasons.
Too many words to say:
5. Ruger LC9s Pro
4. Glock 43
3. M&P Bodyguard
2. Glock 42
1. Ruger LCP II
G42 is my favorite. Love the trigger on lc9s. Wish g42 has lc9s trigger!! Would be perfect!
Glock triggers are easily replaceable. There are several nice ones available.
What about the colt .25
Troy Truong I like to conceal carry my tiny AC130
For me, only the LCP II even counts as a pocket gun. As I’m 180#, the others are fine for IWB, but I wouldn’t want to carry them in my pockets.
I carry a sig 365 in a superfly pocket holster when I wear jogging pants, shorts without a belt, or slacks. It fits perfect
Four guns cover it all. S&W bodyguard, S&w shield 45, glock 17 and a glock 40 10mm for long range shots /bear protection. I'm 6'4 230 so the 17 is very easy to conceal.
Way too much talking without getting to the point.
Was just thinking that the I saw your comment.
"You need a pocket rocket."
*Proceeds to look up sport bikes*
Saying making me think about LMFAO "SORRY FOR PARTY ROCKING"
Ok, I still gave a 👍, and maybe I missed a weight or price limit, but I am amazed that the Sig p238 is not on your list. This gun shoots softer than anything on your list. It might be heavier (?) but more often than not, I forget it is in my pocket (in a Sticky Holster.) I know you don't prefer a manual safety, but I have mine off before it is half way to the shooting position (don't even think about it anymore.) Plus, it is ridiculously accurate. Downsides... More $ than the guns on your list, and once you own and shoot one, you end up buying another... And another.
Agree completely. I bought my wife one and she loves it. Now I’m considering a pocket gun and it will be hard not buy one myself
I recently got a P238 I have a spinal injury and only 1 fully functional hand and the P238 is so comfortable to shoot 1 handed especially with the 7 round magazine with grip extension
Just shot one the first time last night. Really liked the gun even in my large hands. Only problem is I don’t care for .380. P938 is much better imo
Andrew's gun leather made me a top notch pocket holster for my Ruger LCP that I carry religiously everyday.
You can't ask for better.
I carry a LCP I on my ankle everyday as my backup.
I am a former LEO and long-time 2nd amendment practitioner. The M&P Bodyguard 380 is fantastic! I have one with and one without the manual thumb safety. I carry it in a Safariland leather pocket holster ALL day long and don't even know it's there. When I'm not at work and just around the house or running errands most of the time it's in sweatpants or workout clothes. Again, this pistol goes with me and nobody knows it's there. 6+1 of quality 380 is nothing to sneeze at. Great for rock solid program compliance. I work in an industry where I'm not supposed to carry at work. However, it's located in one of the most dangerous cities in the state I live in so I do carry. Nobody ever knows the gun is there and, at the end of the day, that's how a pocket gun is supposed to be. Unknown until it's time to present it. If you haven't shot one I strongly suggest you do.
chicago?
Baltimore?
Own the glock 43 and the lcp2, love them both.
Glock summer belt carry, lcp2 summer pocket carry.
Love your videos
I just watched and enjoyed your video. One thing I enjoy about your channel is that you give logical reasons to justify your opinions, and I like that about you. I am always in jeans. My 2 favorite pocket guns are my Sig P238 and my Shield in 45ACP. The Shield is my primary pocket gun. I am only 5'4" and tip the scales at about a buck fifty so I am not a big dude. I can put the Shield in my front pocket, with a small nylon holster and it disappears. With 6 rounds in the mag, 1 in the chamber, the 7 round spare. mag in my opposite pocket, I have 14 rounds of 45ACP love. Thanks again for your video.
Thank you for this video.....well done. In the winter when I wear a heavy coat my carry gun is a full size 1911....definitely NOT a pocket-rocket! Otherwise my favorite is a J-frame Smith. It's a 6-38 with a shrouded hammer. This gives me the option of single action or double. Yes it is restricted to 5 rounds but I do carry and train with a speed loader. I feel very warm and fuzzy with either.........
no .357 snubbie? uh... ok...
nothing beats a hammerless snubbie in a coat pocket. especially no .380 autoloader.
Got tired of the commercial.. never made it to see the pocket guns.
I just picked up Springfield 911. It is super easy to tuck away in a pocket and comes with a pocket holster and 2 mags, a 7 round extn. mag and a 6 rounder flush fit. I picked it because even for it’s small size, it fits the hand really well. It shoots smoothly and has less recoil than my LC9s, it’s competitor in my safe. No jams... yet, but I don’t have a lot of rounds down range w it yet. It has great hi vis night sights, but for whatever reason I’m shooting it low. Possibly just not used to it yet.
Loved your review!!! I agree with you about the lcp ll. It's incredible. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ruger LC9 for me, or a North American Arms in .22 magnum. When I can't carry, it's a Combat Troodon. Decent video, thanks!
One of My favorite "pocket guns" is a S&W model 437 .38 revolver. I'll take 5 rounds of 124 gr .38+p semijacketed flatnose over 6 rounds of .380 in a Bigger semiauto. The 437 is an airweight, tipping the scales at 14 oz. and with the FDE rubber combat grip on it you get a really good purchase on the gun. It's Very comfortable to carry. Never discount the Usefulness of a revolver, they ARE still a viable platform for personal Defense. 👍🏻
38's, have saved many MANY LIVES! REVOLVERS!! THEY WERE THE FIRST ISSUED DETECTIVES SPECIALS
How about 13 rounds of 9 mm in a pocket pistol? Sig P365 all the way! 😃🥰😄😍
My kimber micro 9mm is 15.5 ounces unloaded and around 18 ounces with 8 rounds, it's not a Hollywood fantasy gun fight with a gang, it's all I need and light and small in the pocket
Thanks, as always for your time, effort and practical reviews!
The Sig p238 is a great gun. You don't like safeties on your guns put they are not a problem with training.
I've taken a number of shooting courses with my 1911 and I have never forgotten to take off the safety.
S&W J Frame preferably 442/642 in a Mika Pocket Holster.
Good choices but I liked it better with more footage of the pistol and less just watching you talk.
Lol....me too
Good point. A couple if live action clips tossed into the extended monologue without any reference don't do the subject justice.
True
god yes!!!! couldnt watch it all it was like i was history class.i wanted to hear about gund, not holsters and pants, but thats as far as i got couldnt watch it all, dude talks too much!!
Love your name Redcoat's Return 🤣
Love my MP 380 bodyguard. Use to the trigger. Most of the time I forget it's even in my pocket. Use a cheap soft holster that prevents imprinting. I do practice pulling it out so I'm use to it. Usually safety is off.
Try a Sig P365. You'll love it even more. The wisdom is that 9mm is the absolute SMALLEST caliber useful for self defense. And I do NOT mean 380! If you trust your life to a 380, be my guest! I prefer my Sig P365. A SA Hellcat is also a nice gun.
Nice recommendations. I use the M&P Shield Gen 1 and the “Gambler” version of the P238 for concealed carry. I’d put the P238 up against any pocket pistol any day.
My P938 is my EDC. Love it. The big brother to the P238 which is also awesome.
Bahaha! Jinko's I loved wearing those jeans when I was a teen. Congrats on the sponsorship!
Kahr CW380. Small, light, amazingly accurate, comfortable grip size (I added a Talon Grip), easy to shoot. DeSantis (Super Fly?) pocket holster in one front pocket, DeSantis Mag Holster in the opposite front pocket and it’s something I don’t have to struggle with to get ready; thus it’s always with me in my cargo shorts (home carry, people!). It can then be a jacket pocket gun in cooler weather with the same carry rig. Winter will now be a little different story, maybe, now that I’ve discovered Sticky Holsters. And, yes, I’ve had an LC9, Shield and shot my cousin’s LCP. It’s Kahr for me.
The cw380 was the greatest shooting pocket gun i ever owned. But it was horribly un reliable. I wish that gun worked for me when i had one.
@@mattr918 I have a Kahr CM9 that is fantastic, but I had the CT380 and it worked for awhile. Then one day after carrying it for a month or so I went to the range and shot the carry ammo, which functioned fine at one time, but it jammed every other round. Wouldn't even shoot hardball after that. It's gone now, and the LCP2 is my back up gun at this time.
Thank you for this video Heg. I live in Arizona so these are ideal for summertime carry. I just got an LCP 2 22 but would like a 9 mm to pocket carry as well.
New sub!!! You picked my EDC as number one. I love this little gun. I have to keep my shirt tucked at work and no one has ever noticed mine on me. For a holster I use the Muddy River Tactical tuckable . It’s a kydex material with a small but great belt clip. Keep posting I’ll keep watching!!!!
I like your list . Me ; I prefer the post 2013 regular LCP . It is a bit smaller ; the trigger has been improved enough that it is pretty easy to shoot decent groups with at 7 or 10 yards . But either way..,...you are 100% right . It makes for the perfect pocket gun /back up gun for me when I'm on duty . I also often.carry a NAA 22 MAG PUG with the big front Tritium sight . You could get away with packing that one at a nudist colony LOL .
I would caution on the bodyguard. Size and shape are incredible for extreme light and small carry. Ironically, it is not uncomfortable in the hand at all. However, the trigger is the worst I've ever experienced. The stiffness is part of the problem. The other problem is where it breaks. Its a long travel, and does not break until all the way back. Several times the skin on my finger would get in the way of being able to fire it. I am sure that repetition and practice would help. But that could be an issue in a stress situation.
In addition some bodyguards have had issues with light primer strikes. I wanted one but then came across the reviews and ongoing issues and had to pass.
Great review and channel !! The bodyguard is an awesome choice. Double actIon like a revolver. Master this trigger and you will shoot all of your guns better. Great trigger for pocket carry and you can get it with no safety also
The Seecamp pistols are the ultimate pocket guns for their tiny size and great quality
I love my lcp2, it is so easy to have on you at any time.
I've got the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 380 if it's perfect in my Speedo
Remington RM380 12.2o.z. unloaded. When they came out I bought mine for 200.00 Copy of the Rohrbaug 9mm, so it was on the 9mm platform. What strikes me about it is that the recoil is mitigated by it's design and actually shoots better then several 9mm. Unbelievable accurate.
I carry the Bodyguard in a wallet holster. I also load it with Extreme defender. I always forget it's on my person. I also carry one of my Shields, but they are certainly not as comfortable to carry.
Too much talking man, you lost me after the long discount speech
he likes to hear himself talk... why else would people be making these youtube videos? to see and hear themselves talk~~
Dude...Are you sure?? makes no sense but ok 🤣
Dude...Are you sure?? Don’t judge others according to yourself!
“Maybe you like wearing speedos on the weekend” 😂😂💀
Kimber Micro 9, wife has had one for a while now, over 1200 rounds not one flaw or failure, functions perfectly, and is pocket size.
The Mrs. has good taste in personal defense firearms. I'm watching this video while toting a Glock 42, loaded with Underwood Xtreme Defender ammunition; outfitted with an Overwatch Precision trigger, Double Diamond 3.5 lb connector, Ameri-Glo night sights; riding in an Alabama Holster, kydex, front pocket holster, with a spare magazine properly positioned in a NeoMag, magazine holder. Sometimes, I have to leave the P30 at home. While I love my LCP II, it's black sights are no bueno for night time, deep carry. Thanks for the video!
What did u not like about the Beretta Bobcat?? Tried over 15 pocket pistols at ProShots gun shop/range. I like that it holds 8 rounds and the way the trigger works. Recoil is minimal witch makes it more accurate, and its only around 12oz. The only thing i don't like is the 32s are hard to find right now.
Always thought “pocket rocket” refers to small fast cars; STI’s, Evo’s, GTI’s and the like. Anyway, when anyone states best of something, that anyone should end the phrase with “for me”. I live in Miami, FL; hot and muggy 35o out of 365. I wear shorts and a T-shirt to work, so 80% of my time out is with light clothing. At work my shorts are cargo shorts, however I move around loading and driving trucks. The only guns in this list I would even consider to pocket carry are the bodyguard and the LCP2. I carry a bodyguard in my pocket, however it’s the 38 Special wheel gun. Sometimes in a de Santis pocket holster, sometimes by itself. I need a lightweight, heavy trigger, inconspicuous gun. I considered the LCR, especially in 327 Fed Magnu, one more round and more power, got the M&P... no complaints. Advantages? Double action hammer less, the reliability of a revolver, can shoot inside pocket, and again if need be.
Just sounds like a penis to me
My dearest is a 6.35 Beretta. Saved me several times by only showing it. Great expeatence.
Had the lcp for years! Put Hogue grips on it and love it! Awesome summer gun, so easy to conceal wearing less clothes! Just got the lcp2 also put Hogue grips on it makes the lcp's a little easier to handle! I carry the Springfield xd mod2 45 subcompact when wearing more clothes! Just what works for me! Also my home defense gun is a 85 series mini14 stainless with the original folding stock! Got one hellova deal a few years back, paid 500 bucks with 2 30 round clips and 1 40 round clip!
@@randalthor6872 ya know exactly what I'm talking about! Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations on the sponsor. I am a bit of a pocket carry nerd. Good recommendations. However, I believe there are THREE that cannot be left off of an list, as follows:
1. Sig P365
2. Kahr PM9 (or CM9)
3. Kahr P380
Thank you for your time and hard work.
Kahr CW380
I have the Kahr cw9 with the carbon fiber grip. Such a small 9mm. Also have the Beretta Tomcat 32acp, ill keep that forever.
Rob 10ring CW380, BABY! Carry all day, every day and never know it’s there.
Spoken like a true non-owning internet aficionado. I have 600+ rounds through mine. Only complaint so far is the flush 10 round mag has failed to lock the slide open twice.
Little guns are difficult to shoot well! 2-1/2 yrs and the high quality reliable PM9 fails my expectations of 7yd 4” clays hit rate accuracy. (Weak hand shooting). I’ve compromised with a Jframe +P for comfort, or the G26 for capacity. Time to go rent a “handful” of options!
Nice video, I have and carry, depending on what I'm wearing, both the LC9S and LCP. You're right the LC9S is good as a pocket gun as well as IWB and is not a chore to take to the range. The LCP is a great pocket gun but I have to make myself take it to the range every few months to put a box of ammo through it. It's a snappy little beast. Another gun I carry both in the pocket and IWB is my Walther PPS M2. With it's 6 round mag it's not much bigger than the LC9s and it's a comfortable IWB gun with any of the (6, 7, or 8 round) mags. Thanks again for the review on pocket rockets.
Great video . I use the LC9S and LCP2 for pocket carry. LC9S has the best trigger for sure and fits fine in the pocket. Looked at the Glock 43 but it was longer than the LC9S, which doesn’t help with pocket carry.
Ty for this review. I especially need one living here in Chicago
You should include the Smith air weight revolver. This small pistol has unique features not found in a mouse pistol. Also tried and true over years of production. The advantage of being able to carry the gun with the hammer down on an empty chamber, yet you only have to grab it and pull the trigger and it goes bang, is special' .. lol
Most of today's shooters will look at you cockeyed if you mention a wheelgun. Their loss.
@@nathanlambshead4778indeed. Their loss. My 642 J frame is my back up pocket gun loaded w +p.
Carry an X Macro mainly but the j frame wheel gun is accurate and there are so many benefits to it.
@@joshuarosenblatt Agreed. I carry LCP 380 in summer, CZ 75 compact in winter. I used to carry 1911 for years. SO i am not against auto loaders. But none of them are anything but utilitarian to me. Revolvers are just beautiful. And I have always shot them better.
I wear speedos everyday, and that LCP2 fits me perfectly! ;)
I carry a derringer in my prison wallet.
The Taurus Spectrum (AKA "Speculum") is smooth enough to hide even when you wear a thong.
Bond Arms Bullpup9 is the smallest 9mm (5.1") but still has a longer barrel (3.35"). It is even smaller than almost all 380 super compacts (LCP 380 is 5.16" long). (Replace the Rosewood grips though to get the maximum width down to 0.93")
I know this video is almost a year old but first time seeing it. Good video. I bought a lcp 2 used at a gun shop near me. I got this at a heck of a bargain in almost new condition. I absolutely love this gun, very accurate for a small gun and yes I painted the front site. A++ for Ruger on this one. if I ever ware this gun out I will have to get another. They are that good.
I have both the LCP II and the LC9s and I find I carry them more often than my G26 or G19. They both work reliably and the accuracy is pretty good for small pistols. I think for the money you couldn't go wrong with either or both. I agree the LCP II is not a plinker you're going to fire all afternoon but it's super concealable even in light clothing. Thanks for the review.
Scott Hill The lcp 2 has a single action trigger without any safety or firing pin block safety. Too dangerous for pocket carry
.
MrDonutboi the lcp2 is not a true single action gun!! If you have one which I do when dry firing the hammer actually has to travel down just a bit further before it will fire
What about the kimber micro 9
Sig p938 and p365
what about Kimber micro 380, springfield 911, sw shield, springfield xds, sig 238, pps m2
@@JohnDavis-im1oy well my 380 will mainly be a back up gun.
@@JohnDavis-im1oy yes I want something small with low recoil
@@JohnDavis-im1oy hows the recoil? I'm thinking of the G42, Sig 938, Kahr P380, and Springfield 911 380
I wonder if the discount codes still apply being as this was posted a year ago
I have a S&w sheld 2.0 9mm I use a trigger gard and it fits in my pocket and it has never failed . I can have a round in the chamber and not worry about it going off . No safety and when I pull it out the trigger gard gos off and I'm ready. I have a holster but I don't use it much.
Also, I think you oughta drop the #3 S&W bodyguard (it's a pos) and include the Ruger LCR .38 special revolver.... it's perfect for close in protection.
Ted Cregger I just bought the .38 special to carry. I agree with you. Very lightweight revolver.
Where's the p365...more capacity and as small and light as many 380 caliber guns in a double stack 9mm...its a no brainer...but thank you love ur videos...
Amen to that! My Sig P365 ROCKS! One of the BEST small, high capacity handguns available! 🤩😁😍😃
@@davidpelton1885 poor reliability
@@ronabernethy7358 Wrong! Mine 100 percent reliable! Only 0.5 percent of the first batch had problems which WERE corrected! 😁😍😆🤩
Awesome advice and reminders. Liked and subscribed. Thanks tons!!!
I have a 1st gen LCP and it's good for what it is. Don't like the slide very much but it is a very easy point-n-shoot. I'm thinking of moving to a Sig P365 though.
$20 off?
It's about time you made yourself useful.
I've got 2 Bodyguard 380's and the safety will definitely not engage on accident. S&W made sure it takes considerable effort to purposely engage and/or disengage the safety.
Bodyguard + Lehigh Defense rounds. = one nasty little package.
LCP II has a trigger way to light for a self defense gun.
You talked way to less about the guns... Lots of rambling... Which caused me to have to search for the content on the actual pocket guns... We get it... U got discount codes...
T Bradley lmaoooo
Another subject is second strike capability, To which the Bodyguard has. I added it to my options some time ago with no regrets. My only 380
If you can't train yourself to flip the safety on the Ruger as you draw it, you have a problem. You can do it as you draw in one motion. It would still be ready by the time you aim. The safety on the Ruger LC9 is super easy to work. You barely have to reach up with your thumb.
Ah, the comfort of jncos. I miss the 90s.
Ruger LCR deserves consideration. Light and trigger is great; very reliable; plenty of power with +P or even 357 ammo
You rock Brother, keep the videos coming. . Thanks for your time.
Taurus 709 slim. 7+1 9mm .MSRP $319.Love it.
Yup. Often overlooked but they've stepped up their game from what ive heard they used to be. A very safe and reliable cc friendly gun.
Remington RM380 $149 at my local gun store. (RM380 pistols are built in the city i live in Huntsville.) 6+1 rounds of 380. Nice little pocket pistol.
I pocket carry a p365 in a sticky holster.
Same here gun is fantastic. 0 issues 1000 plus rounds
Add the Sig P238 and S&W 911...both very similar. I had similar dislike for the manual safety (when I've since gotten over), so for years I carried a Kahr P380 which is perfect size/design for pocket carry...and just enough weight to be enjoyable to shoot. BUT, I had repeated feed reliability issues that I and a couple of gunsmith's could never reconcile. So, I swapped out the K for the Sig (the S&W wasn't on the shelf yet when I bought) and the S has run like a top. I hope my Kahr was just a one-off problem, as they are great designs for carry and enjoyable to shoot. All three should be on your radar if you need to pocket-carry.
I pocket carry a Glock 26 or Sig P250sc in Duluth Trading Fire Hose Work Shorts because the upper front pockets are big. There's a few smaller pockets on the outside of the cargo pockets that fit spare mags and a small flashlight perfectly too.
Think you could have done the review in 5 or 6 minutes and that would improve it considerably.
what about the sprngfield xds?
The best.
Not bad at all, it was heavy but it will do, I sure miss it.
My Ruger LCP grip is made better with a Hogue rubber grip, and +1 extended magazine with a "~pinky" grip hook at the bottom of the magazine.
The Crimson Trace laser, in front of the trigger guard, and a built in pressure pad that turns the laser on, is also a big plus for me.
My personal pocket gun? The Beretta Nano in 9mm. Nothing on the outside of the frame to snag on clothing, plus being a southpaw,
the magazine release is easily changeable. It does have a long trigger pull, (which I'm OK with) but may take some getting used to.
She's a little 'snappy', but that's the case in all compact 9's, IMO.
I've combined my Nano with a 9mm carbine which can use the same ammo.
For those 90+ degree days when even that feels like too much to tote? I have a NAA Pug 22 magnum that slips in a front pocket like a
pack of chewing gum. Not ideal by any standard, but it would certainly work better than harsh words in a bad confrontation.
Bursa Thunder 380. Very affordable.
I have seen a couple of Bursa Thunder 380's where the frame broke. I think it had something to do with the process used or the quality of the metal used in casting the frame.
Congrats on the new sponsorship...btw, I have a *Ruger LC9S* in my pocket as I watch your latest vid.!
Here,Here! Lc9s 9mm pro. It's a great CCW gun. The trigger is AWESOME. Maybe, the Ec9s is a little cheaper. Shawn
I have been perfectly pleased with my Diamond Back .380. Striker fired, very Glock-ish... When was a police officer we were issued G22s, so it paired well for a pocket carry back up. 6+1
I have a Ruger LCP with add-on Viridian Green Laser sight. Love the ergonomics and accuracy of this pistol for pocket carry. That said, I would prefer a lock-back slide and thumb safety. I don't get to the range much, so don't carry a round in the chamber. A thumb safety would make me feel better about carrying that chamber round, and a slide locking back would make it quicker to change out mags. The green laser is far superior to a red laser, especially in total darkness. Now if Ruger would only read this post. I like the S&W bodyguard, but it's not nearly as ergonomic, and the thumb safety is so thin it's not easy to operate in a confrontational situation.
If you're so unaware of your surroundings and the threats facing you that the difference between you surviving or dying is the tiny fraction of a second it takes your thumb to flip off a safety (which can be done as part of your draw stroke) then you need to get your head out of the clouds and pay more attention to your surroundings so that you recognize potential threats soon enough to take effective defensive action.
Exactly. I would also add that if you do not automatically take off the safety when you draw, you have not practiced shooting anywhere near enough to be confident in a life and death situation.
Dumbest statement I've read in a while. Of course a fraction of a second can make a difference and you can't be "on" all the time. Or maybe you can...maybe you're Rambo.
I have a safety in every gun that comes into my hands...it’s between my ears permanently installed
@@ben3304 if a fraction of a second will make or break you then your already hit or dead. if you look and see the guy with the guy its already to late as nobody is that fast when someone already has the draw on you
@@bigsean2473 so you're saying you can't imagine a situation where you would benefit a fraction of a second? What about a guy coming at you with a knife? All I'm saying is that nobody knows how something like this would play out and more time is always better than less.
I need one to avoid getting shot in Walmart
I carry the Bodyguard in my shorts when I go out for my nightly walk. I never notice it. It fits comfortably in my short pants back pocket. No hai problema. It has a laser sight also.
Thanks for your perspective.
I'm blown away you didn't include any revolvers. Smith and Wesson BODYGUARD comes w a built in pass, super reliable
I'm not sure if I like the Ruger or the Ruger.
Thanks for the measurements/ specs info...
thinking about getting the M&P 380 EZ does tulster holster make a holster for that? You should also do a review for this for a weak or people with bad hands arthritis orders and I heard good things.
Congrats on the sponsorship. Great video as usual. If I’m going to carry a pocket rocket it will likely be a Kahr 380 or an LCR in 38 special. Disagree with you on manual safety. Just about every pistol I’ve carried over the last 35 years has had a manual safety and I assure you that is soon as I complete my draw stroke the safety is off. It’s a matter of training and more training. Besides if the bad guy already has the drop on you it won’t make much difference he’s going to get the first shot regardless. The key is making sure you shoot back with effect. Thanks for sharing.
I like a manual safety on striker fired pistols, too.
That is a great discount man! Congratulations!
Jarhead6 I used to love your content but I stopped seeing you in my feed.

king bibibear I am subbed, but I never ever see him in my feed. It seems like this past year the youtube algorithms have made him invisible to me.
@@caseyfryback8271 can you look him up? You've commented on his comment so it seems you can still find him if you want
king bibibear you are very, very dense.
What do you have for a S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ Pistol with laser and flashlight that I added to the pistol for a holster?
Love your videos bro, watched you a lot, now I'm finally a subscriber. I just realized what subscribers are. Lol
