I would removed those rim brake mound
Thought the same, until I realized that I didn't want to build it anymore. So now it's going on the market. Next owner has the option to revert back to rim brakes if anything fails 😅😅

Sadly, it's a way older bike, kinda difficult to get it to play around, and the cost of upgrading the parts on it wasn't logical. So I decided to let it go and get a different one. Preferably something a little up to date and with more aggressive geometry.
