Hey everyone, this week I'm offering you a 40 minute vinyasa flow practice that moves slowly to help you cultivate mindfulness. This will also help you connect to your intuition and the flow of your breath. I love slow flows because they can be physically challenging while also being calming and grounding. If you've been experiencing stress, I think this yoga class will help.
We'll begin with a grounding meditation before doing some seated poses to warm up our spine. You can then expect some hip openers and there will be an option for a headstand. I'm not using any props in this class but you can certainly have them if needed. This is ideal for intermediate students but beginners can leave out poses to make it suitable to them. Remember to go slow and really feel the connection with your breath.

I usually seek out a fast paced vinyasa flow morning practices as I like the challenge and it makes me feel good after. But today this popped up and the words stress relief and intuition were a huge glaring beacon drawing me in. Last night I made a difficult but necessary decision on a close personal relationship and this was a perfect practice to let me know that following my gut and mind over my heart was the right decision to make and what I needed to do to keep my sanity in tact as well as be the best single momma I can to my 2 little ones. Tears flowed in several places in today's practice but everything just felt right and as it should be. Thank you so much for bringing yoga into my daily routine this past April and continuing to keep me grounded when life throws bumps and curves. Yoga truly is life and brings me so much joy and accomplishment with each morning practice! Much love to you Kassandra 💛

@hmmcinerney thank you! Still going strong with my daily yoga (haven't missed a day in over 3 years). Solo parenting is challenging but doing the best I can while doing things that bring me joy in between momming and work. Plus I love my choice of profession(s) so good on that front too. I appreciate the journey, mentally and physically, yoga has brought me over the years. Yoga truly is my daily saving grace.

Hi Kassandra, I've never publicly thanked you (although I mentally thank you every time I finish one of your classes), but today's session was so special I feel like I have to outwardly say this. As I lay down into Shavasana final resting pose I felt a wave of energy take over my body and tears began streaming down uncontrollably. It was such a beautiful and unexpected release! A few days ago, I moved to a small town in Spain to start a new chapter, on my own. I was feeling extremely anxious due to the pandemic and having to leave my family and boyfriend at home. This morning was really hard, I’m a mother of 3 and wife and my family is so difficult in the morning, we have very limited space, limited time and the kids are getting very big, 17, 13 & 10. I struggle with the time management and keeping everyone (self included) calm. There is a lot of mental stress to say the least and this morning was a doozy. It’s also my only day off this week. Anyway I had a lot of tears and couldn’t stop crying long past everyone leaving the house. I did your meditation that you just put out and the tears just flowed. Just finished this class and feeling much more centered. I’ve been doing your yoga classes since the pandemic and you have gotten me through some seriously tough times. I have become stronger and more aware, yoga has even enhanced my work as a massage therapist, I really really appreciate you! Doing yoga with you is therapeutic and like getting the hug I needed to get. Sometimes self care and self love is all we can count on. 🌻
Been working nearly round the clock to transition our NSGY department to a new hospital wide EMR Fri at midnight - going to put aside the 38mins to do this, and can hopefully clear the head and not think about a single note, acronym/smartphrase, or orderset! 🤞🤞🤞🙄😬
This is still one of my ultimate favs of yours Kassandra. I find my self doing it at least once a week. Sometimes on its own, sometimes as a way to unwind after a faster or intermediate flow. Everything in this flow just works. The pace, not too slow or too fast. Opens up and gently stretches without too much strength required all the usual tight spots, hips, hamstrings, shoulders and beautiful forward folds to help unwind and release tension. Ending in some gentle cleansing twists. Any level would enjoy this class. Everytime it ends, I only wish it was longer xx 🙏

Great class! It was what i needed this morning, i was feeling a little anxious, tired and stressed. I like the chant of OM at the start, i've never experienced that before and it helped to ground and start to be present. I love the chant of OM at the end and nice variation with the breath release before the chant. Body scan was also a nice variation in savasana. Good flow of sequences and it was nice to move slower to really engage in the move and in the moment. The music was perfect for it. I like that you say the official names of the moves, it helps me to learn the yoga language. This is also good to do any time of the day and also to help wind down before bed. Stress and too many burdens have really crowded out my ability to look after myself recently. I was so grateful for the slow pace of this flow class - I would not have been able to manage a fast moving class as I am too stiff and rusty. Thank you so much. I feel so much calmer. 37:43 Hi Kassandra. A little over two years ago I had my 5th knee surgery. After that I decided to do yoga for stress relief and to stretch my body. Thanks in a. If part to you and all your instructional videos I am now able to do a video like this one and really stretch into it. I sit in the floor now all the time and can kneel on my knees which is really big for me…. A 64 year old woman.

This is the best practice to do every morning as it’s slow so u can pay attention to ur every stretch with mindfulness ! If it’s fast then it’s not called yoga it’s more of body related exercise ! I’ve done this often. Perfect longer class to finish my day after sitting all day. Love the pace, not too slow or fast. Gives me a good stretch all over. Great way to end the day. (Only part I modify is the headstand) but other than that it should be a great class for all levels. Would love to see more slow flows or vinyasa flows to hit full body 40mims-an hour to finish the day would be great.

I have been watching you videos for years but this. THIS. Was the best class I have ever taken, in person or online ever. I have done your slow flow classes before and sometimes find them challenging because my brain won't turn off or my body gets tired too quickly but today, I had none of that and it is all because this class created in me a calm that allowed me to overcome any challenges. This flow was exactly what I needed this morning. Yesterday I struggled wirh humble warrior in a different practice. Coming into it today in a wider form at a slower pace helped me to really give myself grave and achieve the pose.

Kassondra, I just wanted to give you a huge THANKS for not putting mid-roll ads into your videos. It seems common sense for workout channels but I just did a yoga video yesterday from a channel I really like (that never had ads during the work out) because I like to mix yoga in and it had 4 ads (two of which were 15 seconds and non-skippable) within a 29 minute video and that doesn’t really work when you’re trying to de-stress with a work out. CZcams is really pushing everyone to pay for premium so they can be like Netflix and Hulu and Disney+ but I don’t think content creators realize if everybody did that there would be no ads and they would not be making any money at all.
