    It’s a good idea, but I would never have the balls to do this. It’s perfect for people who wear their hair down a lot 👏🏻 your hair looks gorgeous, and so healthy. I prefer you with the natural colour. ❤️

    We did this back in the late 80s and early 90s. I wore this style a lot. And I also shaved the side a bit too. Of course, I was way cooler than I am now 😜

    Hi Karen, gosh I remember undercuts from the 80's! I never had one but did do the Phil Oakey thing of having one side short and the other long 🤭. Interesting video, hope you are well and Watson is getting on OK xx

    I’ve had it waxed a few times. I have the same problem, very thick hair at the back and I also have a very low hairline. It obviously needs to be an inch or so long for it to work and it’s a bit painful (and bleeds a bit as these aren’t your average leg or under arm hairs!) but lasts for a long time and the outgrowth looks more natural. I’ve then used IPL for the first few weeks which has permanently thinned the hair out a fair bit.

    Hi Karen I wear my hair up a LOT (thick, curly, course textured), as it's very hot when down in the Summer and hides a less than perfect hair day lol. I wear it down during the cooler months when I'm going somewhere, but in the house it's always up. I do wear it in a fairly funky updo and use nice clips/clasps and other hair accessories for more interest to the style. I always felt an undercut worked better on a bob length hair style, as growing it out with long hair would be difficult. It's also (as usual) if you don't like it you can't stick it back on lol. Even mine which grows quickly, takes a good eighteen months to two years to get it to bra strap length (middle of the back) where it is now. I had it cut earlier in the year from almost waist length, as it was too heavy. I hadn't realised you even had an undercut, although I vaguely remember you thinking about having it done. I only get my hair cut every 12 to 14 weeks, as it is long/curly and holds it's shape fairly well. This wouldn't suit me at all if I had an undercut. My hair as is (middle of the back length) takes about 10 hours to air dry, as it is so thick. It was even thicker pre menopause (started thinning perimenopause) and does feel thinner to me than it was before. My stylist assures me I still have a load of hair, but I feel the difference in density. It has stopped the excess shedding thankfully now I'm fully menopausal. I've had long hair most of my life, although I have had it short a few times and grown it back out again. I'm almost 50 (February 2022), so I'm keeping the long, blonde and curly hair for as long as possible whilst it still looks good/suits me. I keep finding new white hairs, but the highlights blend them in lol (skipped grey straight to white) and I can have a cooler/ashier tint as they continue to do so. Best wishes.

    I have lots of hair that grows sideways! Very pouffy, so I have an undercut from top of my ears and around. I have short hair so don't tie up anyway. It's my saviour !

    I wish my hair was thick enough to even consider this cut.

    🥰 Love ya hun! I feel a bright red lipstick would go with this look you have. So neutral with some attention to the eyes ;)
    The way I do my hair I been thinking of getting a type of undercut… not too sure how it’d affect my hair style :/
    Thanks for the video! So many things I did not think of! 💕💕💕

    My hair loss was the result of Amytriptaline, plus I gained weight. It’s all ok now, but I had to come of that particular medication

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick  Před 2 lety

      Oooh interesting, I'm on Amitriptyline and have been for nearly 20 years and never got hair loss. I did gain weight but it was due to what I was eating lol. x
