I had my daughter cut my hair at home! It was time for my undercut to have a trim and I wanted to show y'all how it's done if you want to do a diy haircut. I also go over some of the pros and cons of having an undercut for women. I personally love having an undercut especially with my short hair & longer neck. Watch to find out if an undercut would be a 2020 hairstyle for you to give a try!

Hi Joycelyn, undercuts rock ! Seriously !! I AM doing them once a week since i just LOVE the feel of it ! In the old days I used to have a Mohawk - but my girlfriend at the time didn't like it & so I grew out my hair - yet missed the shaven feel, kind of. and so I came up with or discovered the undercut idea, it's fabulous & so are YOU !!! It was actually funny to see U wear the cape in reverse fashion, nice addition in showing up caped...
Love your hair cut and now I understand why it lays so nicely. I have super thick hair and I am thinking about doing the undercut. Thanks for the pros and cons. Shout out from KY, horse country!

In one of the first videos of yours, I watched you showed off your undercut and I've been thinking about getting one ever since! I have super thick hair and it always feels so bulky and in the Texas heat it sticks to my neck- can't stand that. I finally took the risk on the day this video was released (of course lol) and I love it! I didn't intend for it to be a fashion statement, but my stylist had fun with it and added in some edgier lines to make a pattern, and now that I have it I've worn my hair up a lot to show it off. I love that I can look more "buttoned-up" if I want, but then pull up my hair for an edgier look too! For my thick, coarse hair this is exactly what I needed.

Love ❤️ your haircut and yes don’t do a undercut if your hair is to thin . I personally shaved my hair on the side and side back ( kind of like a Mohawk , but very long in the back ) because of the heat in FL

When i was a boy about 14 i had shoulder length hair my sister gave me a under cut and shaved my neck now I'm in my early 20's i go to a ladies salon and have a under cut and my neck shaved
Going through your playlist and learning. I actually gave myself a undercut a few years ago and really loved how my hair laid in the back, however now my hair stylist just knows to thin, thin, and I mean thin out my neck line for me, lol. I just got a new do yesterday. I also cut my bangs during COVID and really regret doing that so I’m growing them back out.

I can’t function without an undercut. I had a shaved head forever and it was just so easy! Keeping an undercut was my compromise. It just feels so good to not have as much hair (mine is very fine but I have a lot of it). I don’t trust my husband or son to cut mine though. 😂
I have the same type of hair! I don't think I'll ever go back to not having an undercut either, like you said it's too easy! Love it! Hahah yes it was quite the trust building experience lol!

My Aunty is coming from Tasmania today and I’ve had neck surgery two weeks ago. I’m wanting an undercut because my hard collar brace around my neck is hot and we are in summer in Australia. So I’m searching pros and cons. I have found more cons though!!!! This is the first pro!

How often do you have to get the undercut part cut? Do you think it would work with naturally curly hair?
I get mine touched up every 4-6 weeks. Without seeing your hair and the type of curl it's hard to tell, I would definitely ask your hairstylist if it's right for you & your natural curl. xo

I have fine hair but tend to have too much on the bottom back as well. I think I may want to try this for the mere fact that as it grows, I end up with what I call “mushroom head”. Does that make sense? The top of my head loses volume and the back lower portion of my hair is thicker and sticks out for lack of better words or explanation. I have cut my hair in a Bob with higher back, yet I don’t want to go that shirt any longer.
This may be just what I was looking for to help with the mushroom look, and yet not have to have it too short in the back.
Do you think this would help in my case?
I have medium fine hair but a lot of it - down the center and in the back. If you feel as though the back is super heavy which is making is so that your volume is off then you might really like an undercut. Just be sure that with your undercut you don't go too high up because the higher you go the more hair you will loose. If you don't have good volume up top: are you using any products to help lift the hair or blow drying on the top of the head so that it's off the scalp? Also any products you are using before you blow dry?
I wear hoodies all the time and the constant rubbing at the back has caused ratting and tangles alllll the time. We also have no ac, I workout every day and the back is just a mess. I'm gonna do it!

I actually have the same cut minus the undercut. I have an issue ... I do the waves with the flat iron but my hair always looks frizzy. Not smooth waves like you have. What products would you suggest I use to tame the frizziness?? Thanks!! BTW, I’m in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

My hair isn't thick enough and is very fine. Do get some body due to natural wave. Pandemic allowed me to grow my hair longer than I've had it in years. Got an angled bob today. Tons of volume from back view. Cut bangs that I now regret. Believe I will grow them out.

I like undercuts or undershaves on women. It is often "cooler" in summer months. Although it depends on the individual. Be sure not to get angry at your hair when it does not do what you like? Take a seat and think. Your hair is cute with the "undercut" hairstyle.
