People over exgerrate dead games, Helldivers isn't dead... it still as an active player base, and great gameplay. We see this happen to almost all games now. You can't expect people to play the same game consisently all the time. Helldivers did have a few drawbacks though, considering what sony did.

Instead of figuring out why players liked a specific gun and maybe adding flavor to other guns, they'd nerf it to bring it in-line with other less popular guns. Wut? I still occasionally play with IRL friends but I won't be back consistently until they introduce the Illuminate.

I think they should add different mission types, like invading underground bug bass missions were you invade the direct home of the bugs maybe you go there to put a nuclear bomb and then extract or get some samples or some other stuff OR boarding automatons space ships were you basically hijacked their ship and have shootouts so you can collect data or set up a bomb in their ship in the inside or rescued a important npc who plays a part of the war like a scientist or a war general Also underground missions for the automaton as well Or a missions were the bugs are like in a asteroid filled with bugs going towards a planet and you have a limited amount of time to stop this asteroid from hitting and invading the planet that belongs to super earth and if the hell divers don’t do it in time that planet is controlled by the bugs

I had stopped playing as I was capped on everything except level, but they have just added in a new set of ship upgrades so I am back playing. The Sony thing was a massive fumble though, HD2 is still unavailable to purchase in 177 countries, though people who did purchase can still play. Not their friends though :(
Things that can save the game(possibly): new factions, buff weapons, add a mode with bigger map and bigger team(8 to 12 players) add a city area with some broken vehicles we could take(an idea of a human faction would be interesting but still no pvp) maybe add a light air vehicles for bigger maps, every 6 months have the game go on sale for big updates
And what were the numbers for Suicide squad again ? Helldivers 2 will get better numbers again, devs need a vacation too, many people are talking a break as well. Live service games numbers always varies, but don't way it's over or it's dead.
I also hope they have more factions considering three won’t be enough likes from the first game. I hope they’ve been cooking up several more factions over the eight years of development for this game. The problem with the nerfing is that they nerf way too much. Like guns just aren't allowed to even be decent, outside of some niche ones. And then of course the PSN thing pushed a TON of players away, and on top of that there's just no new big content. They've been teasing vehicles and new factions for months now, and the closest we've gotten to vehicles was the exosuit. The illuminate are supposed to come from meridia, and we have no clue how long it'll take for that to actually happen.
The easiest way(a lil controversies maybe) for them to make adjustments to balance out metas is 1. add other options 2. Add an attention system, so you can change base functions of weapons without completely removing it. Ofc add trade offs but thats common in most fps

personally what i think will revive the game: unblock those 177 countries (yes im coping cus i cant play) and a mega update, tons of new stratagems, new weapons that arent super soakers, new enemy types for both factions maybe even the illuminates instead will revive the game as well as unblocking the countries (copium moment)
Did you guys know that this game anticipated no more that 10,000 players at launch. Meaning this game was originally planned for a smaller community anyway. I think is it stayed around 20,000 players that’s enough plus the game doesn’t need a full player base to continue to play anyway. Still a great game to keep in your back pocket for friends. they should make it where instead of wearing only one type of armor you can wear diffrent helmets, chespeices, arm braces, leggings, etc. and insead of combining passives. combining the armors result in new passives. if you wear all of one armor set then you get the passive it originally comes with.

I have no problems with fighting the same enemies for months, and the gameplay loop is inspired. I agree that the nerfs were and are ridiculously bad, the balancing was a terrible idea. But my friends and I still love hopping on and fighting for freedom, regardless of little new content.
As a fellow helldiver’ I do see the lack of content as I have all war bonds and upgrades maxed out only benefit is different store updates on armor sets. But they lost it at the 160 regions that psn locked out of the game

Noticed massive performance issues recently. Used to run the game at a solid 165fps, but in recent months I’ve been struggling to go above 34fps. Could be why some people are quitting, such as myself, unfortunately.

When you have to spend 45 minutes just trying to get into a mission without crashing, disconnecting, or having to deal with gamebreaking bugs, it's an abysmal experience no matter how good the gameplay is. It regularly takes them weeks or even months to fix broken content.
@@Crocc101 No, crashing has been a major issue since the game's release. Infinite loading screen is still happening to a lot of people. Interactions are still bugged sometimes. Random crashes or disconnects still happen quite often.

Eruptor quickly became my GOAT primary and after they nerfed it I began to lose interest. Now I'm resource capped for month, nothing to buy from Warbonds because I don't trust them ever since the Eruptor nerf. Anything I buy that ends up being good will get "balanced". No thanks. Until they put some material in the game for me to spend resources on there's no reason to play.

When you have to spend 45 minutes just trying to get into a mission without crashing, disconnecting, or having to deal with gamebreaking bugs, it's an abysmal experience no matter how good the gameplay is. It regularly takes them weeks or even months to fix broken content.
That’s a you issue, 400k pc players where not having that issue
@@Crocc101 No, crashing has been a major issue since the game's release. Infinite loading screen is still happening to a lot of people. Interactions are still bugged sometimes. Random crashes or disconnects still happen quite often.

It’s over is very inaccurate 44k CCU on Steam is incredible nonetheless, and the game is hardly dead when you consider the PS5 players.

Eruptor quickly became my GOAT primary and after they nerfed it I began to lose interest. Now I'm resource capped for month, nothing to buy from Warbonds because I don't trust them ever since the Eruptor nerf. Anything I buy that ends up being good will get "balanced". No thanks. Until they put some material in the game for me to spend resources on there's no reason to play.

Even when i play at a non prime time i still get like 5 second wait time to some players although it seems the game doesn't have different server since i all ways match up with usa players even tho im from the middle east although id say thats a net positive pretty laggy but I GET THE FULL FORCE OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY ON MY SIDE TO KILL THE ENEMIES OF SUPER EARTH

It pains to see this in helldiver's, people will flock towards like fortnite, overwatch, call of duty and despite complaing about those games problems they still play them. But when Helldivers comes along and the developers make one mistake, its all OH THIS GAME IS COMPLETE GARBAGE AND IT HAS TO DIE L BOZO TRASH GAME. A lot you guys will avoid live service games you have to pay for but then you'll see the newest cod announcement and just dick ride it anf get disappointed when it comes out. Im aware that helldivers has problems that has to be fixed, but when other big games like cod come out completely unfinished you all just accept it and wait.
