Lyrics:
No surrender
Even if it's over
No surrender
Stop pretending
You never cared for me
'Cos I remember
Words that we shared
A promise to keep
If they meant nothing to you
Well they still mean a whole lot to me
And if you tell me
To just walk away
And forget you forever
Then all I would say
Is no surrender - Hudba
Maybe it's just me, but I think The Outfield is really underrated. I have asked so many people that claim they are 80's fanatics if they like this band. Not one of them had heard of them before. It's sad. They are a great band, and one of my favorite 80's bands.
I agree so much. The Outfeild was AWEWOME !!! BANGING they were !!!!
My favorite '80s band!! Tears for Fears is a close second.
Ehh nr,good rock but pretty popular. Appropriately rated I would say.
They must not be fanatics then. Everyone knows your love, I’m sure most people know it’s by the outfield. I’m only 21, but I’d say I know more 80s then the people who were alive then
I totally agree, they are great. I listen to them almost everyday. Great music to work out too.
I saw so many people share "Your love" after Tony passed. The outfield were so much more than that song and Tony's presence will be sorely missed. RIP, my dude.
Exactly they were so underrated and deserved more hits than just that song they were very talented now they’re up there with god making music in heaven
That´s true, but probably new fans begin with Your Love and All the love... and it´s not their fault, here in Mexico on radio normally we here that and no more.
i mean that's a really good and catchy and unique song,, it's my favorite 😇 but you're right, much more than just their song your love. 🙂
Wait who is tony
Hiw did he die
Who's still listening to this song - 2021? Growing up Listening to all outfield songs.
I still have my cassette tape from this band 80s and it still works ❤ it is now July 2023😊
I still have mine too.
Most underrated band if the 80s. Still a banger
The Outfield actually had 8 Top 100 hits in their career, that hardly make "underrated"....somebody had to be listening to them to have that many hits.
They're usually not mentioned with the other greats of the 80's, The way they absolutely should be!! I love this band.
@@lukecold8562 THEIR MUSIC IS SO SUPERIOR TO THE CRAP GARBAGE NOW PLAYED ON MOST RADIO STATIONS.MISS THESE GUYS FOREVER.THEY REMIND ME OF THE BAND POLICE!!
The Outfield will always have a place in my heart. One of the best groups from the 80’s, hands down.
John was SUCH a gifted songwriter and Tony's voice was the perfect compliment to them. Awesome talent in this band!
My dad used to play this song in the car when I was a toddler and got me an ice Cream cone from dairy queen on a hot summer day around 1989. Another memory of outfield music was when he took me fishing in Texas, he use to play outfield cassettes in the car. My dad past away 18years ago but when I hear these songs .... I never realized how much he loved the this band. Now i listen to the Outfield in memory of him. #IMissyoudad .
So sorry for your loss. Your dad had great taste in music.
Made cry....and your dad was great!!!! 👏👏👏
Atomic, sorry for your loss, but I do think that you're dad is right there with you when you play this song, a beautiful memory you shared together.
@@saraj3971 quite a profound statement young lady.
Thanks for sharing Your sweet memory. Your Dad is always with you.
J. Spinks and T. Lewis sing to the angels. RIP boys.
RIP Tony Lewis.
My heart is wrenched.
I can't believe Tony and John are gone. I'll never feel the same watching this video.
I know man. It's sad and hurts when I watch their videos or hear their songs on Pandora. It seems God needed two more musician angels.
@@guymorris1963 Well said.
@@guymorris1963 my feelings exactly. We will see/hear them again when our time has come to pass over too. Til then we have the music they left us before they left. RIP John and Tony.
😢😢😢
Tony Lewis living forever
RIP Tony Lewis.. Go be with your friend John Spinks and continue making beautiful music in Heaven...
Gutted to find out Tony is gone.....my one regret is never seeing them live.....your music will live on.....R.I.P.😢😢
I'm so sad, outfield forever.
No surrender...even if its over...
Just epic opening. The Outfield rocks and probably the most underrated musical group from the 80's. So many people 'knew them' yet didn't. Sad.
Straywolf - 77 agreed. They were so much more than a one trick pony.
To me, if I had to choose one band to embody the 80's, definitely the Outfield would be the winner...
Yeah, they didn't reach a big audience in London, but here in America, their music is engraved forever.
One of my favorite bands. Great songs and such a great sound from just three guys. Rest in peace, Tony and John.
Madly in love with this song for last 32 years.Till the world will be there Outfield songs will jam on Turntable.
I can hear this band for hours, i love The outfield!
RIP Tony Lewis 😢😢😢

Can't understand why they never were popular in the UK. They have such a great sound.
RIP John Spinks...awesome lyrics and songs.
He was a great lyricist and guitar-this band was so underrated.
Still one of the most beautiful, hopeful and positive songs from the 80's. Music, vocals...it has it all. Thank you, The Outfield, I remember you.
R.I.P. Tony Lewis...Thank you for the memories.
Rip Tony this is the first song I thought of when I heard you passed thanks for the great tunes you and your solo record we'll all miss you. Hope you and John are reunited.

Man all the good bands are dying off. Tony was a little more than a year younger than me, and he is gone. Gone way to early. Farewell.

Iconic for 80's Music. Upbeat Tempo Guitar Pop with Arp to give drive to the song. Outfield with outstanding Music and alt least Tony's Voice will be missed forever on this Planet

Captain Highbury Me myself am going thru a "0utfield Binge!" All their songs are just so cool. These guys slipped under the radar yo. I was just too rambunctious in my early twenties to listen to radio. I lived in the big Apple, was Djing hip-hop. I feel so bad I missed these guys. Their songs are just incredible. One hit wonder my ass, these guys had 'it'.
Jose' Ole' thanks so much for saying that...I listen to them since I was 11 ...I'm 43 now and I really love them...I'm from Mexico and my English is not perfect... Greetings
Me too. I just discovered this band in 2019.I lived through the 80's and missed this fantastic Band. Heaven for the ears.
I just found Heavens little Angel, awesome too, but it’s nowhere to be found on itunes😩
@@tonysmith8379 Try listening to ABC they'll give you the feels ,in a great way,I love the 80's sigh

I would probably be not born yet 😂 I am from the end of the 80's 😊
My God did you just hit the nail on the head for me too..life back then seemed so much "easier" whereby today it really does suck from all the BS.
Just love Alan Jackman's drumming on this song!
Vivirás por siempre en nuestros corazones. Tu rock nunca morirá ❤️.
Was at his concert when he was in Trinidad and Tobago. Will never forget that experience. Was 16 yrs nack then. I miss those days
They were huge in the Caribbean and Latin America
This guy had one of those amazing voices like Steve Perry and Sting.
+wifey hi wifey! i agree! i dunno why there not famius as the police! they are very popular in the philippines! during the 80s and now! ;)
Micheal Bolton is another with a great voice. But this lead is great. I'm sorry I didn't discover these guys 30 years ago !

Love The Outfield from the first note of play deep...this song always reminded me of an alternate rendition of Corey Hart's Never Surrender...both great songs...oh I miss the 80s..best days of my life.

70s were great too. 90s is awful.
80s were a great decade.
I wish you should know how awesome was me at 15 getting their first LP and playing it and knowing that this band was going to be great.
I can’t believe your gone tony. One of the greatest singers ever. Thank you for everything tony and rest easy. Say hi to John for us ❤️🙏🏻
Beautiful song. God bless your soul Tony Lewis. You are deeply missed.
Слава Богу (Praise God)
This 2020 will be one of the worst years so many people have taken 😢 Tony Lewis RIP
Yeah, at first I didn't know whether or not it was because of his age or if John came to pick him up. Just hang in there buddy.
Love these guys! They were SO underrated! Had so many opportunities to see them and something always came up. They loved coming thru Austin. The last time they came thru, I was going, the day before the concert, my abuelo died. 😢 Just couldn't catch a break. Think that was the last time they toured. Miss ya, John! 😢❤❤❤
ZENA DE LEON I agree, unfortunately they were so underrated 😢
RIP John, great Lyrics, great sound, the entire band is awesome.
Great voices, guitar, drums sounds/play. Such a great band. Thank you for all your music.
Wow, I had never heard of this song before today. Simply beautiful. R.I.P. John.
My all time favourite is your love, from this band. That was the only small hit they had back then in Holland. I wish I more reallized back then, that all the music they made was great. Well who can blame me, there were so much great bands and REAL musicians, it was to much to count and handle. The last 17 Years I can count it on one hand. I wish that I could turn back time.
Absolutely right my friend..
My favourite is Talk to me, the second is Since you've been gone.
The Outfield forever... Unfforgetable song... Remember good times.
Tony & John. Today's music sorely misses them
Que hermosa banda !!! Que temas alucinantes !!! Amo la musica de the outfields !!! Tengo un tatoo de voices to babylons ...

RIP Tony! Such an awesome and emotional song. Never understood how this wasn't a huge hit
Love this one. Great band with the Trio concept, eightes sound and a touch of prog. Classic from the 80´s.
No surrender

You never cared for me
'Cos I remember
Words that we shared
A promise to keep

Then all I would say
Is no surrender

One small mistake
Turned into a crime
Oh but if I take the blame
You can go but I won't say goodbye
no. surrender
The first song I heard from The Outfield was "Your love". And I believed that it was great. I became a fan of them and start buying all their CDs. I went to a concert they made in Lima (Peru) and it was fantastic. For some reason, the audio went wrong and Tony sang "Your love" a cappella. It was awesome. "No surrender" is also one of my favorite songs. This song really touch people deep inside. Long live The Outfield.
Interesting, When was this? and do you happen to have any recordings of this?
@@SAJMusicWorks Sorry for the delay in answering. I still have my ticket and the date was May 3rd, 2000 in the bar called Sr. Frogs. The ticket cost US$30.
💔didn't think these guys would make me cry.
Bro, didnt know what crying actually meant until I heard this, it's a sublime feeling.
Another great song. I liked all of the Outfield's albums, but Bangin' was my favorite. Saw them live in 1987 in FL.
2018 ...never dies outfield!
the good music never die
Hola de acuerdo solía escucharlos con mis amigos en noche buena con mi grabadora en la calle ruibarbos en hogares ferrocarrileros

Toni 😔 10/20/2020 Rest In Peace brother 🤘🏻🔥
Absolutely my favorite album as a kid. Front to back- its just a pop gem!
Till we meet again tony in the meantime rest in peace
Amazing, Beautiful,
I have to go out on a limb and say what everybody knows and sadly has been afraid to say for far too many years: The Outfield is fucking awesome. I don't care if their videos are somewhat cheesy if not completely. Their songs are perfectly written, their style is so phat it's been copied by the likes of Pink Floyd. This song's main riff turned into "Take It Back", sonically and otherwise. Listen to these treasures and thank!!!
+Tyler Ayers your right that is that riff is the same as TAKE IT BACK. PINK FLOYD PAY THE OUTFIELD. JUST KIDDING. NOT REALLY THOUGH
soulasylummeatpuppet
Never said they paid them, but they certainly borrowed the underlying riff. Really.
One of my favorite bands from the 80s.
Nos marcaste a muchos, gracias por tus canciones y por emocionarnos tanto, gran banda, gran voz, grande en totalidad.
I think this is my FAVORITE of theres, LOVE THEM!!!!
Beautiful, perfect, thanks..
Minute 2:06, stop pretending... man, what a voice! Great video, grat song, i always listen this song and it makes me feel something strange inside me.
Never give up, never surrender. '87 for life!
I'm Mexican but these songs are on another level
First time i worked with the iconic director david fincher. Although he made me run and trip a thousands times in downtown LA
I still
Love him and the song! Great song
Wow! lucky you. Did you ever get a chance to meet them?
There hasn’t been a male lead singer like Tony Banks since, and I remember when The Outfield hit the scene. Jon Spinks crafted perfect pop songs and Alan Jackman’s drumming is crisp and melodic. They deserve vastly more appreciation. I wish they’d carried on, I would’ve kept buying their albums.
I’m in love with this woman.
