"Mad Skills" or "Over the Top Fabrication" would be a gross understatement!! Very Well Done...
I thought I was a builder... Until I saw this video. Outstanding work 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Without a doubt the nicest Camaro I’ve ever seen. The fabrication is a work of art. Great f***ing job!
You guys are nothing short of artists
Thank you Wayne!
The fab work on this is next level!! Gorgeous job
Man oh man you guys make the baddest cars...
That camaro has to be over A million bucks with the man hours in that thing. Just stunning!
If I ever hit the lottery my first stop is to Detroit Speed
Unreal craftsmanship! But now I'd be scared to drive it 😂
The most dramatic transformation here, for me, is that interior. That is such an incredible looking, MODERNIZED interior. I didn't think it was possible. But I guess anything is possible if you throw enough money at it. Most folks focus on the powertrain and the outside paint and call it "good enough". This build is next level. Such beautiful art, and a huge improvement over typical 60s/70s interiors.
I like how you snuck the air vents from an 04-08 F-150 in there.
I'm amazed at your fab team. Everything looks like it is factory but better. True artist.
I have to be honest, that is the best-looking restoration job that I have ever seen. every detail was flawless, Excellent work guys... I love it WOW! has to be the most talented fabricators around!
Nuts, just nuts! The ideas that you guys come up with is just amazing. But not just that, it all flows and suits the part next to it. Nothing looks out of place or overly stands out. I love that.
Thank you very much!
With the music This is as good as a Porsche video (old Porsche car) video rebuild I saw a while ago 👍👍 the build was with an English company, it was spectacular complete with lead work ect & some NEW built body panels & superstructure 👍👍
DAAAAAAAMN.... this is one azz camaro !!! Str8 eye candy inside and out ! Good job
Just another piece of perfection from Detroit Speed I expect nothing other than you guys knock it out of the park every time man beautiful build once again
The level of detail on this build is incredible, the are so many subtle nuances that if you didn’t know or it was pointed out you would have to look 4 or 5 times to catch every custom touch! So well done I found my new favorite 69 Camaro and there are so many out there, Outstanding!
Saw this car at Detroit Autorama. I could not stop lookin at it.Took a ton of pics of it!
An incredible show of craftsmanship!!! Wow, the exhaust is unbelievable!!! Great video, I look forward to more. Thanks
Over the top Build ,

AWESOME VIDEO!!!EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP!!!BEAUTIFUL CAR!!!!! I WOULD LOVE TO OWN THIS RIDE!!!!
Thank you.
Just love the car and the work you all do. This has to be the best car you all have done to date. It is very hard to do something different for the 69 camaro. But your team just do absolute some of the best pro touring cars out there.Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much Chuck! Be sure to come back at 8pm EST tonight for the full video...
I !!!! Want !!!! That !!!! Car !!!!
hello, no word to say how stiff I fall on the genius work of your creators, a thousand bravo.ferrari can lie down in front of this art work ^^^ . +1 abonné french .
I will be waiting. Love the 87 camaro DSE-Z. For it was the year I graduated high school. I think absolutely hands down its the best 3rd gen f body out there. I have watched it on DIY Garage a few times and also on Hoonigan Bonus channel. That car sounds so mean and so so wicked. I love all the cars you all build. Love to see a video build of Bob Gawlik's chevy II. Love to see more videos of the cars you all built like on DIY Garage , low mileage, and Hand built cars channel. Also love your channel and Scottie D TV.
Hey congratulations on your builders award phenomenal work as usual...👏👏👏👏👏💎💎💎💎💎💣💣💣💣😎😎😎😎😎

@TheGhost or the money. Wow. Looks like 10 guys working for 8 months non stop. That's gotta be cheap. Plus all the parts. Just incredible. Just to park it in the corner of a heated garage.

czcams.com/video/rRU4V1-VmWU/video.html
Thank you very much!!! Sounds freakin mean!! That is an awesome machine!!!
Quien fue el tonto que se atrevio a darle un dislike? Si el contenido de el video es una obra de arte, saludos des de queretaro mexico, exele obra de arte
25:02 - I can see that they added air vents on the dash but I never saw when they added HVAC controls.
The entire car is controlled through the headunit.
Could somebody please give me half a mil so I can have one too? lol. Amazing craftsmanship these guys have!
Im curious as to what the cooler is for at 9:02 in the video?
Good lord 👏
Damn!
At 5:49 It looks like the front and rear fenders are flared a little bit??? Is this so? And how did you do it...AMAZING build BTW
хлопці це шедевр!
DSE..just amazing...its not very often I see a build that has everything Id want...but DSE has done it more than once...this is one of the if not THE best camaro build. Maybe the chrome wheels Id change out...and I dont love the interior....but using silver, nickle and chrome etc on the exterior is just stunning....most of the murdered out all black builds are horible
Freaken "Deadly Fabricators". If ones-self has the shop and tools, as well as having someone flip income is there for stress-free workplace. What a job, even the headers were custome built, and not to forget speaker boxes as well. But the main question is, what did it weigh in at completed? Lots of steel.
Amazing metal fabrication, how did you keep the sheet metal from rusting or were you that quick?
Throughout the process of the build, the car was wiped down with rust inhibitor many times.
@@detroitspeed Ah ok, thanks for the info!
Unbelievable build - always been a (whisper it) Roadster Shop fan - but this has to be the equal of anything they have done to date. My only negative - and it's not particular to this build as it applies to most - is why - given the complexity and detail of builds like this, are the cars still usually fitted with solid rear ends? They went the way of the dodo decades ago (for most of us) - and compared to some of the other engineering feats. surely fitting an IRS set up - and the improvements it would bring - would besuch an obvious mod? Is there a reason that I can't see??
What does something exactly like this cost too build? I’m in Australia and wanting to build a camaro nearly exactly like this
I’m guessing 15,000 man hours. How close am I
Remarkable
Very close! 18,000
Entre mas sigo con los comentarios, mas admirable es el es fuerzo.
@detroit speed at what hourly rate?
I had a code #53 frost green 69 Camaro yes!
How much was the axle housing cut?
Top dos tops show yes for my
How to make this car again? How much does it cost generally?I'm looking to buy one at the auctions but to have it custom would very better

Fucktastic !!!
I would give up steak for the rest of my life for this car !!!
Who's got my vice grips, lol when I seen that. Lots of hours hands on wow.
wow, what a half million dollars can do.😮
Best so far , metal fab ,design ! Pure Sex, thanks
Driving it is out of the question, do i need permission to look at it ))
Incredible job. I don't like to see them so slammed though; it's too far from the original look. Incredible craftsmanship though- a tip of the hat indeed to the team.
What is the price tag on this puppy?
I looked everywhere for an email address and couldn't find it
I really don't understand why DSE does not offer their subframe with a Woodward rack option???
This was a custom rack since we sectioned the subframe and made it narrow to package the tires correctly for our desired ride height.
What color black is it ? Please
PPG DBC9700 on this one!
Detroit Speed, Inc. thank you very much congratulations on your sema show you deserve it
@@josecruzrico504 Not a problem! Thank you very much.
What you think build cost 250k? I can't imagine the hours spent on metal work alone
Super talented company and an awesome build!! Although, in my opinion, what’s the point of tearing into the original donor car? Absolutely nothing looks like it was retained. Could have just built it from scratch and sent the donor to a good home.
While nearly everything was modified on this build, that's how most of ours go. A nice clean car gives us a good starting point to go off of. While it's not original anymore, various factory panels are modified for our use.
Who is this Stuart Adams guy?
A trusted customer!
I assume that last shot is photoshop with the transparent hood or is that the hood????? 26:28 And I think the black color wasn't necessary, I would have left it sheet metal color =))
That is photoshop
I love the overall build, but not a fan of sheet metal speaker cabinets - that will sound crap
That’s not true, obviously. Or they wouldn’t have done it.
$300k?
meh.
So how much $$$
These guys are unrealistic in our way of banking and saving but I saw this car somewhere else and I thought it was awesome so I sent vudeo
Good work with the build, but I say no to that screen. Should have stayed with the cassette player or a modernized cassette player ( not CD player ).
Why not just put an 8 track in it? 🤦🏻♂️
Cassette is shit. That’s a nostalgia that can fuck off forever. Besides the fact the sound quality is terrible, you also have to worry about the tape being eaten. No thanks.
Besides that, the screen controls everything from starting the car to the A/C.
With all the mofifications...still can't improve on the cowl hood. Some things can't be made better.
Can u do that for me
Its time for a G Body custom built by DS or RS speedshop. $100k I'll finance
You won't get much for 1000 hours. LOL!! DSE's hourly rate is about $100/hour...so that will eat up your $100k very fast. It'll take them that long to just dismantle you car. Hahahaha!!
@@2quedogg Sounds to me like you're willing to get ripped off
@@melvinstewart5876 I'm just saying that top shops like you named...RS and DS are roughly $100/hour. Not to mention the man hours it takes for majority of the custom stuff they'll make. Many shops like those aren't for poor folks like me. Don't know about you and your financial status, but I do know $100k won't get you a full, all out build from them. Maybe if your car is already painted and just needed a chassis, some interior/exterior goodies like hood hinges, new wheels, etc...then, that's different.
2quedogg so, you’re saying this build is $1.8 million? 🤔
Took 18,000 man hours for this one and I think that might be a bit too much money, regardless of how awesome it is.
@@ThisGuyDrives It was a 13 year build. In the grand scheme of things, 18,000 hours does seem a bit excessive...I do agree. But, if you average it out, that's only 1,500 hours a year. That's nothing!! Now, I'm sure DSE worked on the car more at some times than others and not just 1,500 hours annually, but just trying to bring things in perspective. I'm familiar with the owner of the car and feel he has no reason to lie. Also, DSE's shop rate is $100/hour...therefore, you do the math.
Use more mellow musiv and i would've watched the whole video without skipping
They should have just bought one of those brand new AMD Camaro bodies, instead of chopping up a nice original Camaro, if they were basically going to re-fab every single piece of the sheet metal anyway
thats cool and all. but i suspect price makes it a bit pointless)
It's all about what the customer dreams up.
@@detroitspeed i know. how is that counter my point?) my the way what was the price?)
We do not disclose build prices out of respect for our customers.
@@detroitspeed so the wife wouldnt know?) usually everyone knows lol)
Artwork!, but why did they destroy the green Camaro it was a nice original car and there cant be more than 20% of it left.
You have to start somewhere! This was just a plain jane 307ci car, nothing special, and it had it's rough spots.
Why? Because it's what a customer wanted and that's what they're in business to do...provide a service.
I’ll never understand why people get so worked up over “original cars”.
Well, anything after "Wow, omg!" Is just filler, so...Wow omg!
must have cost a fortune with all the fabrication and zillion man hours
18,000 man hours.
150k would be my guess..
Wth 18000 hrs put into it at $100hr over a mil easy....still like it???lol
Àmazing but black is so boring. Why not a very very very dark red or blue
