Harvesting Gyokuro (Japanese green tea) - d:matcha 2021 First Flush

  • This is the second year that we will be harvesting gyokuro from our gokou tea field in Yubune, Wazuka Town.
    Gyokuro is produced by shading the young tea for 20 days of more. Another requirement is that the shading process must be done indirectly. This is achieved by hanging black gauze cloth on a rack built around the tea field.
