    Gyokuro is considered to be the highest quality green tea in Japan. It has become famous for its powerful sweet and savory flavor as well as its dark green, needle shaped leaves. This tea is not only loaded with flavor, but nutrients as well. Gyokuro extremely high in caffeine and theanine, giving you a long lasting calm-alert sensation throughout the day.

    It is so interesting to see how caring and attentive farmers all over the world have come to the same conclusion that an organic and lower-intervention approach to tilling and fertilization nurtures healthy, nutrient-rich soil teeming with microorganisms which in turn results in the best possible final product. I've been heavily into wine for at least a decade and you see this time and time again, that the best wines come from vineyards where the farmers take the time to allow the vital relationships between plants, soil, and microorganisms to develop and this expresses itself in the fruit which enables a winemaker to make incredible wine. Mr. Sakamoto has clearly found that the same is true for his tea. Kudos to him for deciding to do things the "hard" way.

      Yes I'm so glad to hear you think this way! I visit quite a few vineyards myself and you are right the parallels between tea and wine are numerous and at the end of the day the quality comes down to respecting the relationship between the plant and the broader ecosystem. Gyokuro is so good. It’s honestly one of the best loose leaf green tea out there. It gives me the calming feeling without getting too wired from the caffeine. I like it more than Ceremonial Matcha which can be overpowering.

      Yo i felt the same! I still like Matcha in every way! But this tea really is 1 in a Billion! I felt and did my work in a calm and effiecint manner due to this tea! I have taken L-Theanine in free form pills to give me a boost but nothing will ever beat this tea in terms of Positive effects!

    Thank you for the high quality of the content and image of the video!! Gyokuro is one of the best, at the same level of top Chinese teas. If one would compare to alcoholic drinks, raughlly the Gyokuro would be a great Scotch and the Sencha a nice Beer..

    I bet you can get the same quality Gyokuro for pennies on the dollar in Japan. $30-$60 a bag is just ridiculous.

    • @Nioteas
      @Nioteas  Před 2 měsíci

      Hey thank you for watching the video! We've met with dozens of tea farmers in Japan and it is actually quite difficult to produce a flavorful gyokuro without chemicals. We finally found a farmer in Japan that produces delicious JAS organic gyokuro. The cost of transporting the tea back to the U.S and then delivering it to customers within 5-7 days of their order then leads to the difference in price, but our most expensive gyokuro is still being sold for $33 per bag
