Speaking on MG1/100 really weird that they still haven't exploited the MG1/100 IBO Gundam Frame

This is very true to the point I trade my Kampfer schwer to a jesta can tell how rare the MG is
I like the idea behind the Revival RX-78, it reminds me of the recent Missing Link line of Transformers Takara Tomy are doing for the 40th anniversary this year, where they are taking some of the original G1 toys and keeping the look while upgrading them in some areas like the articulation.
I'm not surprised they're making a RG Akatsuki, I am surprised they made it before a RG Hyaku Shiki, though, considering the possible p-ban variants avalible
The shizuoka hobby show was amazing, but I still think it could work on variety. Basically all the kits this year has been from SEED Freedom, and while that's absolutely not a bad thing IMO (I adore the kits to death), it's not that different to how last year was essentially the G-Witch year. It's safe to say MGSD takes a slot for a whole MG at this point too. But it is what it is. I do think it's a great expo. I need the Z'Gok and Akatsuki bad
Bandai typically doesn't half-ass their... half-assedness when it comes to kit inner frames, they'll either use every inner frame part to reuse (like with the RG Sinanju), or they'll just make a brand new mold. Considering that Bandai has consistently moved away from using pre-molded inner frames with their latest RG designs for the past half decade, the RG Akatsuki is very unlikely to be using any parts from the RG Strike, and indeed the shoulder joints already show that they're not using the old inner frames at all.
Also, many people also missed this, but the HG Requiem for Vengeance kits - the Gundam EX and the Zaku II Solari Custom - just got a release date and price at Shizuoka, they're coming out in October for 2090 yen each.
Do you know what that is in USD? I really like the look of the requeim kits
They'll likely be 18-22 dollars in the US.
Walking out of the theater I was saying how I couldn’t wait for the rest of the movie kits to be announced, and right as I got home I saw everything and I lost my shit, I was so excited
I've been wanting an MGSD for a while but wanted to wait for them to make a suit that's a top-tier favorite of mine. I'm borderline completist on Wing Zero Custom kits... sooo yeah, that's my top reveal from all this. That's hype.

That Revival Gundam kit is similar to the Missing Link Transformers figures, which take the original 1984 toys and make them posable.
For the RG Akatsuki I wouldn't be surprised if they go the RG Freedom ver. GCP where its frame is a mix of the original RG Freedom and new frame parts

9:41 Yes, for the people wondering about it that is indeed a *secondary* Hyper Bazooka included with the options set. The RX RX-78-2 2.0 already comes with its own Hyper Bazooka, so all the option set gives you is a second one so you can have a display of the Gundam dual wielding Bazookas.
The FigureRise Standard Ultraman Tiga that was also announced looked great too
Got the zeta ver ka as my first kit in a couple years, was like man I miss this, went to go look to see all the new MGs that must have been released while I was gone and like there's nothing.

MURASAME LOOKS SO GOOD FOR WHAT IT IS? Definitely the most fighter-jet-like transformation in comparison to most anything else we've seen, like zeta/plus, wing, etc.
That Murasame Kai's Waverider mode reminds me of Armada Starscream
On that revival, I wish the beam saber was a separate part, just to make it that much easier to paint in pink. Coulda been a separate part thst fits on the handles in the backpack.
I just got back from watching the Gundam seed freedom movie. I was not expecting this.
I can’t wait for RG Akatsuki but Zeus Silhouette is OMG🤩. Totally my thing. I really hoped for 1/100 but I’m pleased with HG also. Cheers!
They need to make an RG full armor gundam from thunderbolt. Hell, I'll even take an MGSD of it. I have the MG ver ka but want to see more of it.
It's such a shame that bandai is making super neat mg now but only ver ka once a year, we got 4 times as many mg kits in 2012 compared to the last 5 years 💀

Gold RG looks awesome but what the heck is up with that $100 price tag. I'll definitely get the RX-78-2 though.
The gold plating adds a lot to the price, and unlike the Hyaku-Shiki the Akatsuki has a lot more gold in it along with all of its gimmicks.

I prefer to stick with the UC. I don't like reboots and revisionism and alternate universes. It's why I stick to the original Evangelion (plus, the titles of the remakes are utterly unfathomable. I can't even keep track of which is which).

8800 yen is only about £40 so that's around $50 US
For the akatuski, 8800 yen translates to 56$usd, I don't think the price bump is gonna DOUBLE to a hundred bucks. (Personally I'd rather it have either been coated the same as the shiki 2.0 or not coated at all so ic ould paint it gold myself, woulda been cheaper that way too)

Sad that 1/100 scale especially the MG is no longer bandais focus anymore. I’m personally a fan of 1/100 scale. 1/144 scale just too small for my taste, 1/60 is too large for my room. 1/100 is just perfect size. They are releasing more MBs than MGs now days, just sad

Reposting because CZcams is kind of s***, Pretty sure the RG kit itself comes with a Bazooka since they show it off in the features video, and the Bandai Hobby page for it lists the Hyper Bazooka among its accessories.
The bottom of the page especially has a scrolling image list, and one of them has the full accessories display, which includes the Hyper Bazooka explicitly.
