I make something similar but use turkey slices instead of ham
I then use two slices of Tomato. Just like you used two slices of cheese

OMG! These are called Monte Cristos! I had this many years ago and haven’t thought about it for a long time, they were served with a little syrup. The ingredients for the filling was ham and Swiss Cheese.

First one looks like young Gouda (would be my choice) or maybe Butterkäse. The second one, i don't know.
