I think that the actual laws of asylum or admittance to the US has to be modified indirectly and QUICK so we don't admit every one or appear that is an OBLIGATION to admit everyone . According to the actual international act/laws of asylum any immigrant should be granted a possible stay on any country ... however if the country i.e. US is having an immigration collapse or delays the country should be able to at least PAUSE a law and fix the immigration system if it is interfering with its national security.
How about CLOSING the border finally so immigrants now know that they cannot get in, and PAUSE the asylum and admittance of immigrants temporarily OR at least symbolically if by law is not possible. Fix the immigration system delays or classification or get it updated for all the immigrants that are waiting or working or else already IN THE COUNTRY that have proven to be worth. Deport who needs to be deported but also AGAIN solve the issue to the ones that have pending cases or petitions, and have not committed any crime; and then REOPEN the border at the discretion OF the government. If is Trump or Biden , then let it be THIS common interest for all ...
I think the word or the word that would resonate on both chambers Republican or Democrats and bring this issue to the table as bipartisan manner and finally a better resolution is to PAUSE the entrance to the US, thus close the border temporarily.
If you don't say the PAUSE word , the immigrants most likely think that they need to get in before they close the border , if you say you PAUSE the admittance laws to immigrant IMMEDIATELY they would most likely wait and stay in Mejico or go back and probably live or accept to live in any country where they are not in danger in Central or South America OR just not leave their native countries . They would most likely accept the word PAUSE and deal with it.. PAUSE IS A NEUTRAL word that does not harm anybody it practically does not tell you are not welcome or there that there is a deadline to come into the US but it also does not say that you are either Welcome ... It GIVES the government the discretionary time to solve these issues for sure, and run the country CORRECTLY in this matter.
