man 10,000 miles with minimal change adjustment your a lucky man i seem to have to adjust and clean every 2000 or less
I do similar maintenance with my bike chains except I use kerosene instead of diesel fuel. It smells much better! I respect the way you maintain your machines, I'm the same way!
YOU PROBABLY AGREE WITH ME I TRY TO KEEP EVERYTHING INCLUDING ME IN TOP SHAPE,EAT VEGATABLES AND DO THOSE OIL CHANGES.
MODERN O RING CHAINS ARE LUBED INSIDE FOR LIFE,THE CHAIN WAX IS FOR SPROCKET WEAR.NEVER STEAM CLEAN OR POWERWASH CHAIN.I USE CHAIN WAX EVERY OTHER TIME I RIDE THE BIKE AND WIPE CLEAN EXCESS WITH AN OLD RAG.IN ABOUT TEN DAYS A COMPLETE VIDEO OF REPLACING CHAIN AND SOME GOOD TIPS TO EXTEND LIFE.
Really should be cleaning your chain every 500-600 miles. It takes 5 minutes. Last chain I had made it 17K miles and still didn't have any rust or binding links. Likely could have gotten even more out of it, but I found a good deal on a gold DID chain lol.
What polish/ spray do you use to keep the seat and plastics shiny?
LOTS OF THINGS CONTRIBUTE,regular lube with CHAIN WAX,no rides on dusty roads,minimum rides in rain,cleaning to prevent rust,ALL SPROCKETS AND CHAIN STARTED NEW.

You can put oil in the oil filter so it is not starting being starved of oil 👍👍
What fender eliminator kit do you have?
How often do u clean chaim? Do u spray sides of the chain?
Why did not use synthetic oil?

You can put FK1000p high temp wax on all painted surfaces.
Just doing a 2stage paint machine polish on mine, looking at using a ceramic spray wax..🇬🇧 great work Windy.
My 2014 FZ09's drain plug in on the bottom of the pan not on the front of the pan.
That’s why I have a big syringe with a small hose to suck oil out through the fill port so I don’t have to drain some when I overfill with oil. I can just suck a little out instead of making a mess

I use paraffin lamp oil to clean the chain then light 90 wgt gear oil and let sit for a while then wipe off.
Looking sharp. Life is too short to ride a dirty motorcycle.
Windy, you'd be better off changing the oil more frequently rather than using a specific brand oil.
