You've chosen the right country to try Durian, coz Malaysia produces the best Durians in the world. You should try some authentic Malaysian foods like the Nasi Lemak, Asam Laksa, Roti Canai and some delicious Char Kueh Teow!😂
The art of eating durian....1st bite is fearsome....2nd time and after a few bites become awesome!
Durian comes from the malay word duri which translates to thorn in english.
For rambutan, the malay word rambut translates as hair.

make sure you try Nasi Lemak, Beef Rendang, Satay with peanut dip. Also Roti Canai with curry sauce and Murtabak with curry sauce. Plain is good but you can also ask for fillings. Mee goreng not my favorite. I don't suggest eating so much sugar Zane. Natural fruit is fine but none of the stuff with table sugar in it. I love it when Durian is put in the freezer. It is best taken out and after 5mins YUM. I buy the frozen ones from the Asian supermarkets. Eating frozen thawed durian is like eating ice cream.
First class grade durian in the world is only in Malaysia. Lucky you came here to taste durian.

Even Thai traders smuggled Malaysian Musang King durians from Damak Durian Orchard in Pahang and etc; and renamed/rebranded them to "Thai Musang King" and then sold them to China..😁

You should go to Kampung Baru or Chow Kit Road if you want to eat an authentic Malay food and try our national dish - Nasi Lemak. It is just my suggestion. Some of so called "travelers" deleted my suggestion from their comment section.

Yo Bruh, Jalan Alor are tourist trap prices. Other places has better prices. Jalan Alor are for tourist and the food is basically catered to them. If you go to local restaurant, you can taste the real Malaysian local food…
