That place is for you to get your feet wet and the feel of the sea water without having to go into the sea.
16:28 the red prawn is just the brand. It is actually a peanut candy. You should try it. No prawn taste at all.
Penang is an amazing city, I just traveled to Penang using Spectrum OTS Royal Carribean from Singapore to Penang, truly an unforgettable experience.
Penang adalah negara bagian China Tiongkok tidak ada satupun identitas lokal disana
@@suhanjayalian5044It's not true ! Fyi,we have 3 ethnicities; Malay, Chinese, and Indian. Why do some Indonesians seem dissatisfied or envious of Malaysians when we have always treated the millions of your people working in our country well?
15:50 Apollo Roka is like a cheap and light version of Ferrero Rocher. If you can't afford Ferrero Rocher, then Roka is for you.
Welcome bro to penang. But it is medium speed, not high speed because we only use metre gauge 1000mm and 1435mm gauge (ECRL to east coast). Maximum 160km per hour only
Welcome to the food haven capital of South East Asia,, Zane. Don't forget to try out all the different world class cuisines there is to offer. As for the slightly flooded esplanade, am pretty sure when it's low tide, you can go down there for a walk. Enjoy your stay, you'll definitely love it. 👍🏻
You are right. The economy class wont get the food. But, there is a cafe in Coach C. You can go there to buy food & beverage. The seating is limited, but you can bring the food to your seat to eat.
That shallow walkway with water 22:32 by the sea is actually a wave breaker. But, they design it during low tide, you can walk there. Not during the high tide. Just take you closer to the water, thats it.
Earning yourself one new subscriber here! :D
Penangite myself but I'm staying overseas right now. Watching your videos always brings me back home so can't wait for more of your Penang videos!!
The small walkway that you were curious about, it is actually a small seawall that we have along Esplanade. Pedestrians can walk on it during the low tide and i believe it can be very dangerous during high tide with the waves hitting in.
Anyway, Penang has alot of good food so please don't hesitate to try any that you find interesting on the way! I hope you enjoy the food and vibe there. Feel free to ask around as we Malaysians are very helpful when it comes to food :P
Ps, please stay hydrated, put on sunscreen or use an umbrella. That weather is a killer 🥵
Aah Penang. As a local, we go to Penang 1-2 times a year. Love the food, the chill vibe and most of all, the kids love love love Batu Feringgi. Stay there a night or 2. Have a fun stay in Penang!😊
yes..Penang is the best!
I am involved during construction and develooment of KL Sentral then became part ot management team managing KL Sentral . I left MRCB 2021. Welcome to Malaysia and enjoy your vacation.
Ferry to penang being upgrade right now. Will operate on august 2023 and can fit 50 bikes also like before. The one that you ride is temporary ferry service. Last time ferry to penang more leisure..its like big ferry in spiderman movie. Can fit cars, bikes, bicycle and pedestrian. Pedestrian can walk around buy some snacks, enjoy the views, breeze and wave.
When goverment decided to end ferry services in 2020 if not mistaken...local frustrated a lot. Because many with bikes and cars use ferry to cross from mainland to georgetown daily for work. Especially for seniors. Without ferry which allow bike and cars, they need to take penang bridge which is very far compare to ferry. It take about 40km from butterworth to georgetown.
Visit the two famous historical site in George Town:
Rumah Peranakan
Blue mansion.
They are the house of Baba and Nyonya.
Night time walk round Love lane in George town. The Loft restaurant has a golden stove to bake pizza.
Kebaya dining room vintage look takes you back to 19th century.
You need to go up to penang hill to view the skyline, ferringhi beach and try all the delicious local penang food
The room you rent is quite big and luxurious
ETS is semi HSR train operating speed only 140 km/h. Welcome to Penang
Great video... I´m travelling to Penang this year and this is very useful...!
You need to take a ride using Grab (our local version of Uber) and ride around the island. The island is not huge so many places you can explore especially the amazing food.. try out the local foods there. Trust me you'll enjoy it.
Malaysia Tanah Air ku yang Tercinta.
Red Prawn candy is not made by prawn haha . It is a peanut candy which is also Malaysian Chinese childhood snacks . You should try it 🤭
Welcome to Penang, 21:37 normal class food not provided but there is a coach selling foods/drinks. As a Malaysian i have been travelling thru out Malaysia up to Thai border (Padang Besar, bordering Thailand) by ETS, convenient, comfortable, punctual lastly save on petrol, tolls, less tiring if travel by car....fyi there will be brand new ferries replacing the existing ferries starting from 7th Aug,
Nice vid bro. I hope you enjoy ur stay in Malaysia.
Nice train ride 😄 love your content ❤️😍
Penang, another melting pot for foodies in Malaysia. There's also a good pub culture on the island. Do check them out!😊
wow banyak projek di padang kota lama... tentu cantik bila siap nanti
The ETS is good and always punctual.. but going to the ferry is quite a hassle.. but the fare is very cheap. Its better to use grab car to go around in Penang.
hi Zane, if you want to dip in the sea, can go to Batu Ferrighi and Teluk Bahang area..there are a lot of nice hotels with nice beaches there..
❤Malaysia 🇲🇾 & Penang❣
Interesting video. Will watch next one to see what George Town is all about.
You can actually take a lift from Ruby Lounge directly down to coach A ie Business Class
Hi Zane cant wait to see more of Penang videos. Please be sure to go to Gurney Drive Hawker Center for some excellent grub & Chulia Street for excellent night life.
Hope you make it over to Batu Ferringhi to hang out on the beach. Thanks Z
Hi.. a new subscriber here. Hope you had a wonderful time in Penang. The train ride looks interesting. We usually just drive up to Penang... which is fun as well. Looking forward to viewing your next vlog. 😀
Nice hotel…spacious room 👍🏼
2:12 For business class ticket, I think you should be waiting in the lounge upstairs with free beverages and snacks.
Welcome to my hometown 😊
I'd recommend 'sup kambing mamak', a broth of goat meat with South Indian influence, while you're in Penang.
Welcome to penang heaven food here
Just subscribed 🙂
I would have walked on that 😂 looks nice and cool..have a good time 🎉
Roka is basically ferrero rocher knock off. Also do you mind giving some insight on your marriot membership? Cost and benefits etc
Been on this train twice. From KL to Butterworth. Worth the RM150.
I'm just waiting for ETS to start running from Johor Bahru / JB Sentral to KL Sentral > I'd rather take the train than take flights to KL from Singapore.
Hopefully KTM can get it up & running before the end of 2024.
P.S.
Taxi or Grab from the train station into Georgetown would set you back about RM30-RM50.
Take that option only if you have large luggages.
Also, stayed at The Prestige both times I went to Penang.
Love love the hotel!!
Butterworth is not in Penang. It is part of the mainland. It used to be an island and the trains terminated at Perai, until a bridge was built to link it to the mainland a new railway station was built and then the terminal station was moved
Butterworth is in penang state.
@@yahwuichoo2891 Is it? Thanks
@zane it’s kota kinabalu ! a lot of peninsular malaysian and korean likes to travel to east malaysia for the mountain and the clear water of islands(semporna) & a lot of interesting places you can visit in the north of borneo Island. Maybe you can give a shot for it zane !
Batu feringgi is d best whenever l go 2 Penang nvr miss going there n I think u should 2 bro.

They have Jungle Train too..i think from kl to east coast Malaysia..
( ❤ I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ❤ ) 👍👍👍👍👍
You may not know that the 1.30 RM ferry ride is free on the return trip or basically the ticket is for a round trip. You do not need to show the ticket or anything.
You can go to langkawi from the place you dropped at the trsin
Enjoy Penang
I want the chocolate cake!!!
❤
bro! is time to come Johor Bahru City yo!
New ferries will operate in august.
I’m sorry to correct you 🙏🏻
Malaysia only have semi-speed train.
Malaysia doesn’t have demand in HSR development.
Hi from Johor 👍🏻
the HSR project in the east coast is still going and the one to singapore is resuming, right?
@@Ruriko.Y Yes east coast railway (ECRL) is ongoing but it is semi-speed train (not High-Speed Railway).
Yes, SG to KL HSR will be revived but fully under private sector/fund this time.
Awesome & very informative vlog, may i know what camera are you using & does it record long videos or you have 4 to 5 spare batteries?
It just a walkway if u wanna feel the sea water, usually weekend gonna lots of people there
it's a walkway, high tide the time when you were there
Go for local buses too
You just arrived on Penang? I will be in Penang next Friday night thru flight from Kuching.
What do you need guide tour to bandung sir? 😁🙏
Are there any secure areas to store luggages on the train?
Walk up to the Air Hitam chinese temple
It is high tide dude. Walkway
Buses are cheaper. But train is good.
I thought train ticket price included ferry ride?
👍 Cholop 👍♥️😻♥️
Good Lord...this is the 3rd video of this in the last couple months. Lol..
Did you see the old historic bldgs ?
Welcome to my place Penang 😅
Malaysia don't have high speed train though, ETS maximum operating speed is only 140km/h. High speed train is generally considered as train that have the speed of over 200km/h.

Malaysia don’t have high speed train 😅
Yep not yet. Only 160km per hour max
16:58 don't worry no buddy can see you naked 🤣🤣🤣
this place have much history that alot of tourist only think as travel destination

I dont know if anyone agree with me that watching Zane's video make me nausea especially when he turned the camera around.
