Pix mentioned (on Joe's stream) that he may continue to do them live, but potentially at the Christmas village next time (and with whoever is around when he's recording it, so not necessarily the same audience).

The sad thing is, Pixlriffs can't even be the victim of long pranks by hermits, because they generally happen over the span of several episodes, and so he'd have to spoil himself by watching the episodes before falling into the potential traps ...

They have said that to do the recap, they binge-watch all the episodes over one day, so that would mitigate things a bit

I actually really like the "filmed live" bit. Maybe it should be a thing for as long as the crossover is going.
I could hear Zloy screaming as I read this. Can't say I disagree, though. I'd love to see some bloopers, outtakes and shenanigans in other people's episodes. Not only the Recap covering Hermits, but also Hermits covering the Recap just sounds fun and wholesome!

Having the captions on, I think I noticed an error, the caption suggests that Jimmy was the one to say Pix renounced the Riff in his name, But from what I heard during that clip from a lot of perspectives, it sounds like Fwhip is the one to say that Pix renounced the Riff. If you already know then okay, if not then just letting you know that it sounds like Fwhip's voice being heard saying it.
@@AP-xr2yi I'm so not used to the Empires crew voices so sometimes I'm stuck going off of whose name has a voice icon by it XD so I very well could have messed that one up, I'll give their POV a watch to check! Wouldn't be the first time I've had to check a different POV lol. There's actually another line I should check too, so thank you.

@@Lyarrah Your welcome and all good, even I struggled to determine who was saying what, at that clip. It does sort of help to have heard someone speaking by themselves, in this case having watched Fwhip's and Jimmy's videos, amongst that chaos I could tell that it wasn't Jimmy speaking or at least saying that line but rather Fwhip.
I believe there was another line said by Fwhip that was labelled as being said by Jimmy just before it to, if that's the other you mentioned you should check too. While not relevant, it may not hurt to learn the empires crew voices, so you can be more accurate. Other than that, keep up the good work Lyarrah.
This recap might just be my favourite because of the intro.
Edit: the mettatons theme played on noteblocks in background as he talks about grumbot is also a great touch.
I lost it when grain mentioned mettaton as inspiration and equally lost it when I noticed the video in this recap

Pix’s “This week on Hermitcraft, ME.” beats Grian and Impulse’s “This week on Empires” (imo)
Hands down! I feel like Grian and Impulse missed some opportunities.
I wished it'd have went like:
Grian: "This week on empires" *waits for Pix's reaction*
Pix: "Oh god, it's happening"
Grian: "Welcome to the empires recap! My name is Grian, my victim is Pixlriffs, music for this bit was provided by Impulse"
While the one from Pixlriffs entering hermitcraft was much simpler, he hands down nailed the delivery

This script was particularly good imo, and the fact that it was with a live audience was very cool
Live crowd of hecklers aside, can I just say I'm OBSESSED with the noteblock cover of Death By Glamour in the background of Grian / Gearlbot's section. Truly this is a phenomenal episode of the recap ^^

The extremely murderous audience is the best thing I've seen all week (besides the hermits and empires on HC)
I think my favorite part of this recap was the background giggling, notably from Sausage, as well as Pixlriffs trying and almost succeeding at keeping a straight face while plastering the grumbot jokes on
The meta humour was ON POINT this episode.
Seeing the heads of Pix slowly taking over the stage is amusing. They killed him five times during that live recap. Where's the skeleton skull that was the mic?
I think I cackled a little harder each time I heard Pix say "This week on Hermitcraft...ME!" over the last few days. It just gets more delightful each time

This is BY FAR my favorite Recap episode. The recap in front of a live audience was hilarious, all of Pix’s jokes were great, and gotta shoutout the great music during the Grumbot/Gearl part! I actually went back and watched Pix’s last episode to see from an Empires perspective so it was nice to also see his content in the recap for context
I love how you were discussing the episode with Joe, cleo, and Sausage. That was a really nice touch

Such a good line, and it's so wonderful to see Pixlriffs having so much fun on the server, living every fan's dream! Also I love the Minecraft note blocks Mettaton music while talking about Grumbot! :D

Lol why did I tear up slightly at "This week, on Hermitcraft... ME!" My Minecraft CZcams viewing journey has truly come full circle as Pix was the very first MCYT I ever watched and is the reason I started watching HC in the first place. Amazing episode and very fun!

Amazing job on that edit Sloy! As noted in the closing that can't have been easy, but the extra hours really came across in the final product (just remember not to keep set this as a new bar if it'll require making your whole life the recap lol, one off specials are more than fine)

This was the best recap episode yet. LOVE the live audience and the three intros. The best line of the crossover is definitely ‘this week on hermitcraft… ME!’
Of course, the Empire Grumbot was completely devoid of Mumbo, and that caused it to become evil. It all makes sense now, except for all the parts that don't make sense.
I feel like "It all makes sense now, except for all the parts that don't make sense." pretty much sums up both hermitcraft and empires most weeks. Also real life now I think about it.
I don't know if there will ever be a better episode of the recap than this one!
Now with the Mettaton music I am waiting for Grumbot EX and Grumbot NEO. Or for Grian to accidentally connect the Grumbots network to Wynncraft's Antikythera Supercomputer.

I LOVED getting to see Pixel on Hermitcraft. Felt like everything did a 360. A show by fans for fans now on the show. I remembered when a comment from the hermits were mind blowing. Now your casually playing with them. Insane 🥰
Now that the Hermits are back on Hermitcraft, what I want to know is, what happened to the diamonds in Ren's vault?? Unsolved (forgotten?) mystery there.

I expected the "This week on Hermitcraft, ME!" but I knew that Pix was planning something for this episode, and I am overjoyed that it was a live studio audience. That's so good, and so funny, and Sloy edited it so well.
