What you said about building old beat up saws is kinda how I am with tractors. Some farmers would consider them obsolete 50 years ago when they came out and here I am using them and fixing them.
I love the Pontiac sign above the stove pipe! My grandpa collected Pontiac cars. When he passed a couple years ago I had a 1956 star chief engraved in his headstone.

Hey Ironhorse I have a question for you and that is can a Stihl 038 Super be converted to a 038 Magnum using OEM CYLINDER KIT? I’ve heard that it’s not as simple as one would think something about different bolt pattern? Thank you for your input.

Best wishes with the surgery Harvey. I have yet to run a Ripsaw built saw, so I won't speak to that. I do however take exception to any business that finances things like in this case, chainsaws! I am fully aware that a business that provides financing will ultimately get more customers, however in the process they are willingly taking advantage of poor people. Math does not lie and if one cannot afford to pay cash for a chainsaw one cannot afford it. Trust me when I tell you a paid for used old saw with a sharp chain cuts pretty damn good and logging and life is way more fun without payments.
Hey brother if your having trouble breathing I really need you to take it easy!!! I’m a Registered Nurse in a Coronary Care unit and there is a few things that concern me. 1st stroke I hope the have you on an blood thinner that’s not just aspirin until you get your ablation. 2nd stress induced heart attack and syncope. If that heart gets workin to fast it won’t be able to meet the demand. Now I know it’s just in there firing no matter what you do, but ya gotta keep an eye on that Heart rate please! I they are lining ya up for an ablation, then get that done asap!! I don’t want ya to fry that AV node and block down and end up needing a pace maker! I’m telling ya brother I see it every day at work! Take it easy, cut down the caffeine if you drink anything with it. If your short of breath, then you are symptomatic and they need to prioritize your procedure! I love your stuff and that you just shoot it straight! Take it easy! Slow is smooth smooth is fast!
It’s really funny how all these super saw porting guy’s who are against anyone who don’t do it exactly their way don’t even do a little piston manipulation to make their timing number change’s… I guess since I was a big echo guy and I’ve been inside the weedwacker engine’s and checking out what they were doing to obtain certain things and at those lower rpm range running motor’s that I started making little change’s to the piston’s log before I started grinding on my cylinder’s… I cut and polished stones and made jewelry for 20 years before I really got into the saw porting so it’s definitely an advantage to already have three Foredom’s and tooling and stuff…. People need to get more focused on loving one another and helping each other out instead of trying to tear each other down!!!
@@theironhorse6600 I’ve actually always found that the insecure guy’s are always comparing themselves to other’s and they are always at the ready to laugh at other guys failures… and I’ve found… very much like your boy TinBasher that if you are building your engine’s aggressive then you’ll break a few eggs and cranks finding that line where you know it’s going to stay together for a few years…. I’m not interested in ultimate power… I want the most efficient engine I can get that’s not leaving anything on the table and I am very interested in balancing the intake with the exhaust stroke’s and after Kensie did the port mapping video I was just in heaven and I don’t do anything unless I have it drawn out on the port map so I can see those little rest periods before the next function starts…. I freakin love two cycle small engine’s or chainsaw engines!!! It’s just magical stuff for me!!!

It’s a rapidly growing community of guy’s and there’s work everywhere if a guy wants it!

Currently im trying Permatex Motoseal but Dirko Ht is easier to use and get so its better for me... i have used also Reinzosil in a past and it is awesome but its hard to get :)

Hello I know what's got me stumped, is the piston. I have my 56mm 372 but that's all I could go cause of the 12mm pin so you swapping the rod with a 660 rod? I'm lost thanks nice cutting yesterday I'm impressed

Stick with my 460 and my dad 046 that was built by the same gentleman you can reef on it if you need to and only bores down when then chips build up

What silicone does everyone use for base gasket delete?
Currently im trying Permatex Motoseal but Dirko Ht is easier to use and get so its better for me... i have used also Reinzosil in a past and it is awesome but its hard to get :)
