Very good to see you Harvey, excellent teacher you are. I had a Homelite 2000 in about 1970. Then I purchased an 056 and I was in love. It worked hard for me and was a real workhorse. I wish I had it back again and love to see you working on an old friend. Thanks for the memories. Sid from Petrolia, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
What welshwizard822 said. Great to see you back, Harvey. Now I look forward to watching your clip. I know that the 056 is a little different than my 051 and 075's but I really do find myself drawn to these old saws much like I was drawn to 55-57 Chevy's, Camaro's and Mustangs. Muscle saws and Muscle Cars. Let's go, Harv!!!
Great to see you back in your workshop Harv!! You are looking pretty good!! How you feel may be another story. Enjoy those afternoon snoozes, you worked hard your whole life, you deserve them. Work around the homestead is never finished anyways. Keep it sharp and tuned!!
WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU A FEW DAYS AGO ,,,BUCKIN WAS RUNNING ONE OF YOUR SAWS ,,,HOPE YOUR DOIN WELL IRONHORSE ,,,AND THAT CULLEN AND BARB ARE WELL ALSO ,,BEST WISHES TAKE CARE MY FRIEND 😁😁👍👍
Glad to see you back on here. Drove by the other day on my way to Canisteo. Hoping everyone is well and healthy. Oh I almost forgot......I put a twist on the iron horse pipe that causes direct flow after bounce back to the exit !!!! Scooping and direction built into your design that causes zero restrictions above the original design.
Prayers answered!! Glad you are getting better; I learn so much and enjoy listening to you speak about 2 stroke theory and fact, but more importantly, we all worry about you as the person we have come to know and love.
Hey Harvey Merry Christmas I just wanted to let you know that everything still going good be well mind body I'm still cutting and I'm still doing the documentary on the business and the industry everything from sawmills and climbers to followers in urban arborists and builders all over the planet to make the industry a better the use of street cred and bartering we'll make it a little bit easier cash will always be on hand just picking up pieces from last year and putting everything back together for this new 2024 give the family a big hug from the Molina family to yours be well Merry Christmas
Keep the videos, stories and great info coming, please! Would a gasket delete and muffler mod be worth the effort on a Husky Rancher 460? Also, would attempting a DIY port job in the Tinman/Ironhorse school of thought be functional on the same Husky? I don't need a big saw but I love the sound and the idea of more torque. Thanks for your toughts and videos!
Hi! Just subscribed. I'm rebuilding a 056 right now. Cost me 75, missing small parts, replacing cylinder and piston, rebuild carb, new to me recoil. Never done it before and I screwed up not taking pictures. Could use a top cover if you know where one is lol. Good job on the video! Putting a 54mm jug on it instead of the 52, the old one is worn, not scored. Bearings seem good to me. Going to be interesting.
Good to see you back Harvey, what A great Sunday morning surprise, new content from you, and on the legendary 056, always one of the most good looking designs. Good to hear you're good !
I know how to dig too. I got bearings for my old snowblower from a wheel chair parts supply company. Also, the bar studs, take the helicoids and studs out, clean everything really well so there is no oil residue in the holes, studs and helicoids. Coat everything with "PC7" two part epoxy and thread them back in, then wait two to three days for it to cure properly. PC7 is great stuff but that is the only area on a chainsaw where it will work. I've done this to two of my chainsaws and haven't had any problems. Just make sure you coat every surface, inside and out. You have plenty of work time too. You look good, glad to see you with more vim and vigor. Take care.
Good to see you back! Loosing weight is the best start into a healthier life. Fresh food and a bit of excercise helps too. We are often not too old, but too sick. Greetings from northern germany
Thank you Harvey, i just picked up 4 of those saws 2 of them were the magnums. I tore the two magnums down and i was surprised to see they were 54 mm bores, thought they were going to be 56mm. You cleared it up for me when you said the super were the same as the magnums.
Glad to see you back Harvey. Great information on this video. We definitely come from a different world of thinking than that of today. I’m 50, we find something that will work, and find a way to make it work.
Good to see ya Harvey. The 045 & 056 saws are some of my favorites. The first logs I bucked up years ago was with an 056 Mag II. The ignitions have been problematic for me. I have been searching for a good 056 mag 2 56mm cylinder for a while. Lookin forward to the 056 build.
Why not use a 17x42x14mm bearing? There's a place local to me where they specialize in just bearings. I have taken old bearings from a kawasaki ksv700 that weren't available anywhere else, and they matched them up for me.
HI IRON HORSE 😊😊 U sure look alot better than what U I sure hope U feeling better than what U did 😊😊 the old saws didn't turn many RPMS they did have the pulling power 2 cut the big trees U can feel them pulling your arms they were old school chainsaws then they was alit better and faster than the old 2 man cross cut saws and the teeth on the old chains were 1/2 inch they don't even make chain like that no more and it's very few of the old chains U see anymore they had alot better steel in them and the way they were made iron horse U should do a video on sharing the chain so it cuts rat tails its not many people who sharpen a chain like that 😊😅🎉❤🎉 😊 OMG 11 19 2O23

Good to see you again buddy
good to se you back harvey
Don't change the case... look up thick walled Keen-Serts... solid thread inserts. 😉
I’ve used helicoils, e-z lock and step studs to repair bolt holes. I would have gone with timeserts or keen serts
@@lelandhuey2265 I love keen-serts... you can get thin walled, thick walled, hardened, Stainless, etc.
Good to see a new video from you
