I don’t love Cyprus I was there in 1992 and the locals don’t like us because we weren’t born in Cyprus , even though we are Cypriot descendants. Cyprus is rich in history and Troodos mountains are beautiful but the beaches are heavily commercialised unfortunately. Even if the water is nice , clear and blue , they are dotted with hotels , restaurants and night clubs . I spent 4 months there and couldn’t wait to come back to Australia . Our beaches within our national parks are so natural and pristine with beautiful wildlife . It is a shame that I had a bad experience there . I will never return because the relatives still don’t say nice things bout me and my husband .
Such a shame you had a poor experience back in 92, Cyprus has changed a lot since then, it has become a more integrated inclusive modern European country, as with everywhere it has it's problems and issues, I live and worked in Cyprus for nearly 20 years and felt excepted completely buy my local Cypriot friends, I still have a holiday home there and it is without doubt my second home. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experience .👍😎
Enjoyed that very much, So thank you to you both, We stayed in a small apartment complex where i think the giftshop is now, Nice place small pool, suited us, The Suckling pig at syrianas was to die for as well as there steaks, Like most things its changed a lot, more so when it was 22 years ago !! Still have my rayban sunglass,s that i bought in that shopping complex,,, If i may ask a favour, Could you do a walk from the main road, down the the Cynthana hotel, Junction is opposite where the waterpark used to be, Stayed there 3/4 times, and would love to see how much it has changed, Thanks in advance,
Hi thanks so much for watching 😎👍 and your kind comments, I will make a vlog for you as requested as soon as we are back over in Cyprus, probably March next year now as we are back in UK. Thanks again
Hello, we'll be in Tala in 2 weeks. We have hired a car, please can you tell me what the parking is like in Tala and Paphos? Do we need to find car parks or is on street parking easy? Thanks
Hi thanks for watching, parking in Paphos is generally very easy with a mix of car parks and on street parking, most is free. Some / few municipal car parks are chargeable but tends to be very chea, don't worry about car parking it will be fine😎
Tala is no problem for parking
@@TravelswiththeRussells Thank you......see you in Mario's 👍
Thanks for sharing. We havent travelled to this area for some years. How has it recovered after the pandemic ?
Generally It seems to have bounced back well after the pandemic, but some small independent business/shops did close down for good unfortunately . bar street is still a shambles but has been for a long time now.
